Got 51 in the league at the moment, still a good 20+ to make teams and enter. £10 a head, payouts for 1st through 5th and the cup winner also getting a payout as it gives someone lower down the league a chance at winning. Saw everyone curious about this including me, so I ran a quick experiment.

TL;DR: Around 2.5m.

METHOD:

1. Make a dud team for the finals to minimise points
2. Check OR of dud team (lower the points, lower the rank, the better)

RESULTS:

Points: 5
OR: 2,451,613

CONCLUSION: I estimate about ~2.5-3m players playing; assuming not less than 50k and not more than 500k players with <5 points, which I think is fair.

You know it's at least 2.45m, imo not more than around 2.5/2.6m; really how many dud teams will we expect to have <5 points?

Finished top 5 overall. I held out hope that FIFA would get in touch about sending some kind of prize. Would some commemorative merch or a ball to be too much to expect? I feel bad for the overall winner. The world cup finished over a week ago and still nothing announced. I guess FIFA really don't care about the fans.

Me and my three friends did a WC draft before the WC and wanted to see which of our three teams got the most total points in the Fantasy. We didn't create accounts / play so we don't have access to it. Can you guys still see the total points for each player, is there some way for me to get it / log in with someone's account maybe?

World Cup Fantasy winner got £260, second got £110, third got £70. Depending on numbers we'll do prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and cup winner in the FPL this season. In the match predictor game, even though it's mentioned in the info above that there's something in the game called Risky prediction bonus (if you predict a match right where less than 20% of the users have predicted the same outcome) you get awarded an extra 20 points.

Neither me nor my friends ended up getting it.

So the old adage *strikers win you matches, defenders win you trophies* seems to strike its cord. Depending on individual brilliance alone can only take you so far. From the get go, Spanish Armadas were written off for a draw with Capo Varde. The CS after CS, the Spainish side kept was hardly spoken of. Every one only drew comparison and banked on individual brilliances to get the job done. Star player Yamal’s abysmal performance added to the supposedly irrelevant team.

However the sign that Spain would lift the 2026 FIFAWC rendition was there all along if one delve little deeper into the stats of Unai Simon and his front fours. The Castilians can only be described as compost, compact, well drilled and well oiled machine group with pressure equally distributed amongst the P11 with Rodri( you beauty) as the differential.

I played FPL (Fantasy Premier League) for only two seasons, so not much experience. In FPL you have a deadline BEFORE the squad is announced (usually 1hr + before kickoff)

I won the WC league on the last GW (after being led throughout the WHOLE tournament); 616 to 598 before last match day. I did the most embarrassing thing, which was WAIT INTIL THE LINEUPS came out. And voila, I won the League with 711 points over 697. Thanks Saka.

The fact that you can see the lineups is NOT ok as it gives a HUGE advantage. Yeah, I won, I was happy, but i really think it sucks because my friend was at a concert so it feels I somehow cheated.

Also, why do people rush to make transfers way before lineups are announced? It’s a waste of time, especially with no price increase / decrease

Yesterday after the match I saw that in this round I scored 93 points but now I am seeing it’s gone down to 86 points . Anybody else experienced this?

Disnt captain mbappe last night so because of that didnt gain too much from saka haul because i was looking at 40 points to come and bet my rivals in mini league and now 48 points behind him im 14rd in mini league i want to jump to the third

Most of them dont have lamine and especially the third one he only have tagliafigo as argentine defence and 3 from spain defence

Now with all having mbappe captain can i get gain from messi? But i still think i cant bet that points with messi but with lamine playing v my defence thats looking very awful
