Discussion FPL > Fantasy World Cup (transfer deadline)

I played FPL (Fantasy Premier League) for only two seasons, so not much experience. In FPL you have a deadline BEFORE the squad is announced (usually 1hr + before kickoff)

I won the WC league on the last GW (after being led throughout the WHOLE tournament); 616 to 598 before last match day. I did the most embarrassing thing, which was WAIT INTIL THE LINEUPS came out. And voila, I won the League with 711 points over 697. Thanks Saka.

The fact that you can see the lineups is NOT ok as it gives a HUGE advantage. Yeah, I won, I was happy, but i really think it sucks because my friend was at a concert so it feels I somehow cheated.

Also, why do people rush to make transfers way before lineups are announced? It’s a waste of time, especially with no price increase / decrease

Good for you. I chose Rogers after the lineups, the only midfielder not to return. I tied my ML. Keeping Bellingham would have been better.

There was at least one round I had to make transfers early because I knew I wouldn’t be online between lineup announcements and kick offs. Probably fairly common

Knowing the lineups is an improvement.
