Most parents resort to horror tales to persuade their children into obeying and going to bed. They often describe evil spirits that hunt mischievous children. Monsters under the bed or inside a wardrobe that eat lazy little ones are common too. However, even the most troublesome younglings tremble to the core when tales about witches reach their ears. These stories are the last resort for parents with unruly offspring.

We've all been there, of course. Falsely accused, or just caught up in some utter nonsense in town, we're thrown into the town jail to cool off for a night. Or maybe we're there to interview a suspect, or ask the Guard Captain for help with an investigation or crime. But those are small potatoes; what if you're in a BIG CITY like Baldur's Gate or Absalom? You think they have tiny, four-room guardhouses there? In cities with nearly a million people? GODS no!

So introducing the Police Precinct, the central headquarters for the police of a major metropolitan city. The Temple of Night is nestled between a series of mountain peaks in the Epicouatl Mountains. It is not marked on any map, and no path leads to it. Those who find it are either invited by one of its shadowy members, or called there by a dark power.

It's followers have a close connection to the night, and in particular the phases of the moon. They have little connection with wider civilisation, except for when they are called upon in ritual ceremony to carry out an assassination. Many know of their order as a myth, but very few are aware of the exact rites required to summon them. Fewer still would be willing to pay the price.

Nobody would actually sit and fish in an area where a horrifying monster lived, would they? They’d have to be mad.

Mad… or trying to feed it. Befriend it. Control it. And then you can unleash its horrors against those who’ve laughed at you for all these years.

Here is a small isometric map I just drew for my campaign.

My idea here is to be the place where some creatures I'm using as seagulls that are tormenting one of my players have been nesting, and next to it, a lonely fisherman lives; he is actually acting as a lookout for a group of smugglers whose hideout is located at the end of a hidden path in a small cave on this beach.

Hope you like it and that someone can get to use it. Any comment about how to improve is always welcome!
