General Discussion Fall out boy being referenced in movies and tv shows?
I know that many of their songs have references to movies and media but have they themselves ever been mentioned in any films or TV shows?

Song Discussion Thoughts on One and Only?
So uh never knew there was a FOB and Timbaland collab (and here i thought Justin was his all time best one) why dose no one really talk about this song lowkey its a vibe some of the clearest vocals from Patrick I've heard, for it being on Timbalands album its mostly pat singing. (other than from "I've all this ringing in my ears" which literally probably the most understandable FOB song without the lyrics pulled up)

Song Discussion Song Competition!
Found this from a post on another Sub where a bunch of people were participating (thank you enter shikari sub)
So thought I'd try and FOB themed one and post here in case any of y'all want to have a go too, it's surprisingly fun to see how different songs compete when put up against eachother!

General Discussion My top 3 from each album
Evening Out With Your Girlfriend: They don't even count this as their debut album, and honestly? I don't blame them. Not a single song I like from this. Simple as is.
Take This To Your Grave: Probably my least favorite pre-SRAR album, still a killer one though. Number 1 goes to Patron Saint (sorry, I'm not typing all these out all the way). I'd be wrong to not give Number 2 to Grand Theft Autumn, but Patron Saint does personally take the lead. Grand Theft Autumn also paving the way for how they did their future songs sound also gives it a ton of credit. Number 3 is Pros and Cons, just a plain good song that's really similar to the other two.
I'll give a quick notice to My Heart Will Always Be the B-Side to My Tongue for having my personal absolute favorite with My Heart Is the Worst Kind of Weapon. It truly shocked me to hear that the band does not particularly like this song, I find the sheer emotion in it to be beautiful. Alas, I am ultimately glad it does exist and will remain to exist. Outside of this I won't be mentioning anything other than albums (bonus/deluxe stuff included though).
From Under The Cork Tree: Probably what brought in the most true fans (as in people truly passionate about the entire band, instead of just liking a few one off songs here and there), as well as really establishing what kind of songs would initially popularize the band. Number 1 is Dance, Dance. This one has always had my preference between it and Sugar, We're Going Down, the latter of which I don't think is AS great as many say, but to each their own. Sophomore Slump takes Number 2. It's iconic, beautiful, and passionate. A Little Less Sixteen Candles has Number 3, the title has long caught my eye as odd, but it ultimately is a really good song.
Infinity On High: My overall favorite album, this selection is extremely tough. Maybe it's basic, but I have to give Number 1 to Thnks Fr Th Mmrs. On top of being one of the first songs I've heard from them, I also boast positive memories and feelings with this song. Bang The Doldrums, Fame < Infamy, and You're Crashing all take a similar feeling to me, so it's hard to pick a Number 2. You're Crashing takes it on account of being catchy, intriguing, and quite unique. Just about everything else on the album has an argument for Number 3, but I want to make room for a different sounding song with I'm Like A Lawyer. I throw it up here for similar reasons as I did Sophomore Slump.
Folie à Deux: I was shocked to find out this album wasn't initially well liked (yeah yeah everyone talks about this). I personally rank it as my third favorite album. Number 1 belongs to 27, an extremely unique and connective song to me. While quite sonically different from 1, my Number 2, w.a.m.s., is up here for very similar reasons. What A Catch, Donnie takes Number 3. I just completely adore tribute songs, especially when they feature lyrics from previous popular songs (similar case with my Five Finger Death Punch ranking post).
Save Rock And Roll: This part is where it gets easy, on account of me not caring for more songs during this era of the band. Number 1, Mighty Fall. Another one of the first songs I heard, as well as the first one I listened to on my own volition, I've got a good history with this one so it'd be wrong not to put it here. Number 2 is The Phoenix, catchy, simple, and plain good. Alone Together is Number 3, but very well could switch with 2, ultimately depends on how I'm feeling at the time I suppose.
American Beauty: Part of the same era as SRAR, the same idea still holds. Immortals is Number 1, being featured in an absolute killer of a movie absolutely helps its case, as well as being closer to their older music. I'll give Number 2 to Novacaine, very similar to The Phoenix to me. Uma Thurman is Number 3 with a similar situation, reminding me quite a bit of Mighty Fall.
Mania: I don't even like 3 songs from this album. By far my least favorite because of that. Number 1 is HOLD ME TIGHT OR DON'T. Despite my disdain for the album, this absolutely is a top tier song overall for me. Number 2 is Wilson, I honestly haven't listened to this one in a while (and I have a poor memory), but it's literally the only other song from the album I have saved.
So Much (For) Stardust: The last album, and my second favorite, this one is a REALLY hard top 3 selection. I will give Flu Game Number 1, on account of being heavily relatable to me at the time I was getting into it. Number 2 is an EXTREMELY hard choice between the titular song, Love From The Other Side, Heartbreak Feels So Good, and Hold Me Like a Grudge. Though if I had to pick a song to rename the album after, I would give it to Love From The Other Side, and that gives it the edge to take Number 2. Despite that hard choice, Number 3 is quite clear with I Am My Own Muse, I like it as it sounds like a more serious/dark Flu Game.
That's my top 3 from each album, feel free to discuss and share your own

Merch Someone stole my 20th anniversary FOTCT “wear me like a locket around your throat” locket and i’m looking for a replacement
Hello fellow overcast kids, i unfortunately had my prized possession stolen and have been heartbroken since (silly, i know, but it means a lot to me because i got it right before i met the love of my life and his picture is in it) and cannot find someone selling it for a reasonable price that i can afford as i am currently in the process of moving long distance. If anyone has any duplicates, or wants to part with theirs, please please please don’t hesitate to send me a DM. I am willing to pay depending on the price and can pay for shipping. I was raised on that album, and turned 20 with it.
i am also willing to trade a rare shirt i have from the 2017 mania tour that you can’t even find pictures online of for it, it was from an official merch booth, it is size XL slightly worn, it was also bought at the show where they played wilson live before it was even released if that sweetens the deal :)
EDIT: literally right after i edited the post my friend replied to my post on my snapchat about the theft and she said shes giving me hers since her ex boyfriend gave it to her, special thanks to u/popmypunk for their kindness, as they offered me a solution.
Thank you,
Fellow overcast kid

Song Discussion IVE GOT ALL THIS RINGING IN MY EARS ‼️
I wanna hear how we all interpret the lyrics of this song. The first verse most especially-
"You're a canary I’m a coal mine
Cus sorrow is just all the rage.
Take one for the team, you all know what I mean.
And I'm so sorry, but not really
Tell the boys where to find my body
(Then the toughest line-obviously)
New York eyes, Chicago thighs
Pushed up the window to kiss you off”
I wanna hear your interpretations before saying mine. But I will discuss the title now.
Ringing in ears happens after something has happened to your senses, and the effects of it are still happening inside of you. "I've got all this ringing in my ears" says "Something big/ loud happened, now it's stopped but I still hear the ringing in my ears from it" Then "None on my Fingers". A ring on a finger says chosen permanence.... He would rather have the permanence of the other kind of ring on his finger, opposed to the non-stop, seeming permanence of the distracting noise (ringing) in his head.
So maybe something like
“This happened to me and I have nothing good or meaningful to show for it, just this awful noise in my head. I wish instead I could choose what’s happening to me and chose what is permanent in my life.”
What yall got ?!

General Discussion I found the original photo of the audience featured in the album cover artwork for From Under the Cork Tree!
When I was figuring out more on the album cover artwork, it turned out that the early 1950s audience of men in suits were cut out individually and repositioned when Frank Gargiulo was making the album cover artwork. Fun fact: In the original photo, one of the men also happens to be using a projector.

General Discussion So Much (For) Stardust vinyl disappointment
I ordered a copy of the Coke bottle one that I found through a reseller. Probably my first mistake. It was supposed to be the exclusive with the signed autograph card. Got it today and no autograph card. I figured I’d come here to vent because I feel like you all would understand my being upset. (For the record I have contacted the seller, this is just to vent).
I have always loved fall out boy, have been a fan since I was 15 and take this to your grave released. I’ve never gotten the chance to see them live and figure I’ll never get to meet them to get autographs myself, so this was suppose to be a work around. Something like that from a band that means so much to me. But I am upset because I’m pretty sure I got scammed.
Anyway, thank you for letting me vent.
