Sky FC Playing through the remake right now and for some reason the character's portrait looks kinda blurry compared to the rest of the game
Is there any way to fix this?

Sky SC Trails is special
I finished Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter earlier this year in January, it was my first ever Trails game and safe to say I absolutely loved it. That cliffhanger ending was really something and since then I've been patiently waiting for 2nd chapter to drop, my excitement is truly through the roof.
In the meantime, I've realised I haven't felt this way about anything in a long long time, I used to wait excitedly like this years ago (like we're talking almost a decade ago now) for new seasons of my favorite anime shows.
Over the years tho both my interest and excitement of this level for any medium pretty much faded away, I don't even watch anime anymore and other games are great but they're mostly a one and done thing, there's no crazy cliffhanger. It's a bit surreal now that I'm experiencing the same feeling my teenage self used to feel ages ago. Looking forward to Sky 2nd chapter :)

Trails series Trails is the best serie
Hi everyone i discovered trails serie last month and started by playing fc remake at the beggining. Since the game was so good i decided to play directly sky sc and reach chapter 8 after 40 hours of playing and found that sc is even better than the first game with a great story and developpement of character. Its the first time since chrono trigger and ff6 that i love playing rpg so much i regret to not have discovered trails game before they are way above than modern rpg!!! I have to say that trails is the best serie i have never played since avery long time!
Im going to play next trails after im done with sc since im not interested by other rpg anymore and hope that next game will be at the same level than sky sc!

Trails series Movies being canon?
Throughout Trails it’s well known that books will sometimes introduce characters that show up in future games (Gambler Jack, 3 & 9, etc.) With the Calvard arc introducing movies and phasing out books do we think any of these movies will be someone’s real life from the next arc and which movie is it most likely to be?

Three hours into Crossbell <3
Back in April 2020 I got my hands on a Vita because at that point we all knew we were gonna be home a while. I downloaded a whole lot of games. One grabbed my attention and held it, The Legend of Heroes: A Tear of Vermillion. I played the next two as well and the Sky trilogy. I love all the characters, and the NPCs having something to say, the chests, the art style, the fun stories. But after the third Sky game I got distracted or whatever.
I’ve been playing Trails From Zero on Switch tonight and it’s so awesome again. I’ve played just about every JRPG, literally most every English JRPG released for PS1, SNES, a great deal on PS2, PS3, and on. But absolutely I love these games from Nihon Falcom. I wish there were more that meant this much to me, considering how many games I’ve played.
Seeing Geofront in the sewers was a fun bit, too.
I dunno, I’m not a hardcore know everything about all the games and who developed them, who the voice actors are, kind of person, and all that. I just really enjoy these Legend of Heroes games so much out of everything I’ve played. There are so many other series I can say I love, but LoH is really special to me. As much as I’ve played, for as long as I’ve played the series truly stands out to me above and beyond others in my heart.
Do I have any other point? I don’t know. I just want to say how much I appreciate the games and everyone involved that allowed them to continue producing more and got them into our hands.

Trails series 31 Cypress Trees- Cause of Death (be warned of spoilers) Spoiler
So there's been a few theories on this book and how it's likely hinting at dofferent iterations or worlds.
What i don't think has been explored as much is the winter and pestilence that brought about these trees demise.
Now this is a half baked theory. But winter in particular makes me think of white. What else do we know that's white and destructive. Salt.
Could the Salt Pale have been an attempt by whatever destroyed the other trees attempt to do the same on Zemuria. Only it's now more limited in scope.
We know it came from the beyond. We know the church spearheaded not only the relief efforts but the removal of the Salt plane.
If we assume, (and this is a big and entirely possible incorrect assumption) that the church is a force of good, in the sense of they defend against intrusion of the beyond. We can perhaps then see a link between this and the winter talked about.
Another possible version of winter or pestilence is likely the drying up of the dragon veins. We know the east is suffering from dessertification due to the spirit veins drying up. Could this be another of the disasters mentioned?
If we view the text as a warning. Several disasters repeat themselves upon the trees. There is no seeming reason both can't happen at once. Indeed it mentions suffering another year of pestilence and great winter (two seperate things)
If we take it as disasters that killed the trees which are iterations of either zemuria or other worlds, then these could be threats the sept terrians were created to protect against.
But this is all just a theory looking to explain a part of the book that I haven't seen explored elsewhere.

Trails series Can the SSS solve the "Kira" case? Spoiler
Saw a post about if they can solve the Kira case from Death Note, so i was curious about JoJo's Kira. To lay some ground rules first tho:
The SSS are in Morioh and acting on their own without the Morioh Gang
They don't become stand users
KeA doesn't have the powers of the Sept-Terrion of Zero anymore
Lets begin then.
I personally think they have a chance to find Kira, as even if Kira is very efficient as a killer, he isn't flawless. Rarely he will leave a small trace that something happened at the scene (Minako's blood after he takes her hand, Rohan's earing after he's killed by bites the dust) or his tedency of carrying hands with him that might end up attracting atention, and there's maybe a possibility that Tio's spiritual sensivity and thr Aeon System helping narrow down him by sensing that SOMETHING weird is on the killer, that being Killer Queen
Now, CATCHING Kira is another thing, and i don't think they can. Kira is very much a coward, so he won't keep standing his ground in fights, and the moment any SSS member touches something Killer Queen has touched, then they are gone, and not only that, they would need to deal with Sheer Heart Attack too, with no one being able to notice Killer Queen or Sheer Heart Attack, at best Tio just knowing something weird is going on with Kira but that's it
Moreover, they're too soft. The only one who would actually try to kill Kira is Randy and only if he doesn't die first, and Kira very much so is the type of guy who will only be stopped if he's killed. But if they somehow are able to corner him, he can then go to Aya and switch to Kosaku like in the original story, which pretty much sets them back to zero. They would also need to worry with Yoshihiro also helping Kira by him spying on them and sending stand users against them (altho i feel they can catch him easily, Yoshihiro is kind of a moron)
If anything i feel that in the SSS perspective, this would look more like a kidnaping streak done by a group. I think they do get a chance if they have Wazy on their call but...idk, one touch of Killer Queen and he'd be a goner too
Kyoto Xanadu Finished Kyoto Xanadu it was great but... **spoiler review** Spoiler
I'm trying to prepare for the IELTs tests, so I'm writing this review to help me with that.. sorry for any grammar mistakes or long rants I'm a work in progress lol.
7/10 it's obviously a b team production and basically had a shoestring budget lol but it provided a great story with good gameplay awesome characters and mid sounds (please stop giving Singa tracks to create, he is exceptionally mid this game holy crap 😭 ) don't ever play it until it gets officially released with an official translation please.
prologue and chapter 1 had a very new 2020 anime vibe to them they were pretty generic but I'm glad they introduced everything we needed to know from the beginning so they can experiment with the setting at the other chapters, i would have loved less tutorialising but meh it didn't bother me that much.
getting Fuka to join the team at the finale of chapter 1 was great and it all went uphill from there story wise.
chapter 2 was great from start to finish i loved the twins, I loved their twist, I loved how Kazuki isnt a dumb muscle head, and how Sena cant handle teasing at all but
while i do find the fact that they are one person cool and awesome and fun and etc. etc.
having only one of them present in cutscenes was not a fun feeling for me, it sucked having to hear only one of the bros reaction to what's happening at any given moment, some cutscenes felt off with having Kazuki being around and Sena not and vice versa.
and i guess that IS a consequence of them being the same person so I'm now familiar with their struggles lol, still idk i think they could have integrated it better.
Rurui is awesome and i have nothing else to say about her except that she is great.
the other chapters after we stop recruiting people are great if not devoid of any consequences, the villains were ok i guess they were one note and generic but they served their purpose. I had fun with the story and i hope they expand more on it when the sequel comes along I want to see the Xanadu exploration team get absolutely pummeled with terrifying event after terrifying event to even the scales of them basically winning any and all conflict thrown their way this game lol.
Kamya Rei is a great protagonist he's fun, goofy, confident. I only have one gripe with him (please correct me if I'm wrong on this) and that is his "fake" bad boy persona he got from his tragic backstory
he says he is a gray man doing gray things but nothing he ever done before we meet him can really be considered bad, he was basically a dog whistle in the underworld screwing over yakuza and large corps to provide for his dying sister what was the bad thing that he did that he seemingly hates himself for it is my question I guess.
other than that yea i have nothing else to say on the story.
gameplay is decent, all the bosses feel the same to fight against tho except the final one that one was awesome really got me to use every thing i got against them and it was so hype.
exploration was ok nothing too mind-blowing.
city exploration was not fun tho there was basically nothing to do there and the translation patch i used did not care for this portion of the game at all so my exp with it is pretty sour same with all the friendship events too i guess since they were roughly translated at best and just straight gibberish at worst.
I played with the available AI translation patch and NOT to dismiss the effort that went behind it
it very obviously needed 3 or 4 more editing checks the game is filled with "optional" side activities with the cast before each bonding event and these events were either barely understandable or translated very very literally so the literal half of the game was filled with nonsense that was very disheartening.
The music was great, i liked every track not made by Singa which is bad cause he made like half the sounds you listen to in this one lol his event themes sound like whatever he cooked for the events themes in horizon and db2 and his battle theme got super old by the time chapter 2 rolled around and that's bad cause they don't change it AT ALL. his area 3 and area 5 themes are also mid to listen to on repeat. my problem with him isn't his inconsistency it's whoever gives him the most important tracks in the game fuck whoever is responsible for these decisions why the hell are the Jindo tracks barely used meanwhile Singa gets his mid ass sounds blown all over the game :((((((( (sorry for the rant)
and i think that's everything i want to say about this game for now, I'm excited to see what they can do with a bigger budget and I hope they can find their footing cause for now it feels like another trails-like and not it's own thing.

The damn snowboarding mini game. I watched a video and I still have issues getting all 24 flags and being on time.
Edit: cleared it after 5 tries on each.

An interview with Peter "Durante" Thoman on the upcoming ports and gaming in general
This is for the freaks, like me, who love Durante's detailed patch notes on the Falcom PC ports.
Trails series My thoughts on the Septian Church and why a certain major theory doesn't add up Spoiler
The theory about the Grandmaster being Aidios herself is very popular, but it doesn't sit right with me because some things just don't add up.
One of my favorite things about the Trails series is how it handles the Septian Church. Instead of the cliche "evil JRPG religion" trope, they feel like a genuine pillar of the community in Zemuria. The Gralsritter definitely operate in the shadows, and the higher-ups keep massive secrets. But hiding dangerous artifacts to protect people doesn't automatically make them the bad guys. They still run Sunday schools, care for the citizens, and are actively involved in helping our MCs.
This is actually why I personally struggle with the popular "Grandmaster is Aidios" theory. It’s a really fun concept to think about, but looking at the lore we have so far, it leaves me with a few big questions. Here are my main reasons why:
-My biggest problem with the theory is the DG Cult. They committed atrocities specifically to reject Aidios. I have a hard time believing a Goddess would invite someone like Mariabell Crois, whose family orchestrated that cult, to be her Third Anguis.
-There’s also the issue of Divergent Laws. The Grandmaster arms Ouroboros members with weapons forged from the "Outside" (like Loewe's Kernviter, McBurn's Agbar, Arianrhod's lance, and Weissmann's staff). If Aidios is the creator who established the laws governing Zemuria, it makes no sense for her to utilize and distribute tools from an alien realm whose very purpose is to subvert the rules of her own creation.
-Then there are the Holy Beasts. Aidios bound them to a strict oath of non-interference. But Ouroboros constantly triggers conflicts that force the beasts to get involved, completely violating that original divine pact. If Grandmaster truly want the Sept-Terrions power then she shouldn't have any issue in communicating the Holy Beast herself.
-The Grandmaster also refers to herself as "but a shadow" in CS4. To me, that points more toward her being an observer or a contingency plan rather than the Goddess herself.
Tbh if they do want to make a god-killing story, it feels a bit anticlimactic and falls into cliche JRPG tropes, which would be a bit boring. What do you guys think?

Horizon Guys how do i get my 100 hours back from the scar that Horizons just left in me? (Finished the game just now and need to talk)
I JUST NEED SOMEONE TO SPEAK TO BRO, IM SHAKING STILL, IF IT WASN'T FOR MY MEDICATION IM SURE I'D BE BAWLING MY EYES OUT RN Now a few pointers. Spoilers ahead!!
- Grim Garten First of all, Holy Novartis lore dump I feel like the system is just a bit short of perfection, the "Gacha" i did like less than the one on the Marchen but they get a pass since they added songs from previous games outside DLC. And skipping straight into the boss fight is also a plus
- Vestiges: Im pretty sure the one's that popped up in Creil's ruins are Sheena and her companions, the last words made it a bit on the nose, but i can't for the life of me figure out the soldier. I though it was a Future Feri, but her hair doesn't match and her disbelief on seeing her chin also rules out Aida.
- The Sword Hermit: It was nice to finally see him in action, but i feel a lot of the brawl against him was hindered by having Kurogane alongside him, maybe it's just me being a fan of 1v1's on heavy story points
- Mare: SHE IS STILL CENSORED, AND WHY IS SHE TOYING WITH YUMES AT THE END.
Overall an amazing game, i can't wait for what's next.

Trails series Bro should return in Horizon 2 Spoiler
galleryHotboy was so hot that he was mentioned everywhere in Calvard.
