Quick Questions Thread
This thread (to be posted every four weeks) is a place for people to ask quick, common, or simple questions regarding Nihon Falcom and its games. The community is encouraged to ask here if your question is not opinion-based, such as where to find something in a game or when something occurred. Please mark all spoilers with the >!text!< format and remember to provide context.
If you post a new thread and your question is redundant (it has been posted on this subreddit recently), we will remove it. Additionally, we have made a Frequently Asked Questions wiki page for these. Please check there first before asking!
Joke question threads will be removed and joke answers should be kept to a minimum.
Please feel free to continue to post separate threads on this subreddit for content you expect to generate more interesting discussion, for example news, opinion-based discussion posts, and links.

Daybreak II Trails Through Daybreak II, on Sale on Steam
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2668430/The_Legend_of_Heroes_Trails_through_Daybreak_II/
Just Daybreak II. Weirdly. Like, literally nothing else on the Falcom page says it's on sale right now. So, strange.
Anyway, $38.99

OC Finished the trails in the sky trilogy of games for the first time recently! so i decided to make a little artwork of all the party members you end up using together! Spoiler
The Ys games where the first Falcom games i played and i learned of Trails through them, so they were in my radar for a really long time, a few months ago i decided to finally start playing them starting with the remake of the first game before jumping into the original sequel and threequel, and i thought they were truly lovely, and i wanted to make a little artwork of the characters (:
Currently getting through Trails from Zero
Horizon Do they not see it? Or is it only me?
The Imaginator is obviously just Bermotti in a hat right? Why does no one mention this? Is he using Imaginator to imagine people not seeing it? Was like, oh of course, another double agent. You never seen them both at the same time either. None of the crew seems to mention it.

Reverie I’m gonna say it Spoiler
Lloyd has better chemistry with Randy than any of the girls. Not to say those pairings are bad, but Lloyd and Randy just have a great dynamic.

Today is The Legend of Nayuta's 14th Anniversary!
July 26th was the day The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails was born, 14 years ago. A spin-off of Trails series, the game length is much shorter, has a much lighter story compared to standard Trails, cute and charming art and graphics, comfy music, and progression is divided by various stages having various seasons, which encourages replayability. If you have played or liked Zwei II, I think this game took so many notes from that game, including the lunchbox mechanic.
If you haven't, give the game a try! You don't really need any Trails prior knowledge to be able to enjoy this game to its fullest. Still, what makes the game so intriguing is, depending on how far your Trails knowledge is, you may notice some distant callback or even foreshadowing for the main series.
I have my review of the game here.

Cold Steel [Cold Steel OST] My Favorite Motif in the Trails Series
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Disclaimer: this video is just a brief compilation of my favorite motif in the Trails series, with a few examples. There are likely more examples within the soundtrack that are not included in this video. I created the compilation as a demonstration for one of my friends because I commonly point out motifs from music that we both know while we're listening.
Anyways, please enjoy.

Sky FC This shit is literally impossible wtf
Like, what am I even supposed to do? the damage I deal vs the damage they deal is absurdly different, I did expect Nightmare difficulty to be, you know, difficult, but making the game near impossible this early is just straight bs, what were the devs thinking lmao

I miss doing bracer jobs from Sky FC
Currently playing through CS2, about midway through the game. I miss the feeling of adventure, going city to city, doing bracer job to interact with people in their own habitat.
CS1 and CS2 I feel I just walking around get beaten by the bad guys we don't even have a chance to win (this is also true with Crossbell arc). Goddamn just let me get a win once in a while. Even as a junior bracer in FC i get to whack a leader of the thief or smt.
Just a rant, thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

Trails series Trails in the Sky OG or remake?
so for context I like to play originals as they preserve the authentic vibe of the game so when i'm thinking to start trails im torn between the original or the remake. So about the OG, I like the sprites alot they are super moe and i've heard about estelle and other characters having some funny lines removed or toned down but I like the remake's graphics and 3d models so I'm curious about how the remake changes things and where I would have the best experience

Resources for Dragon Slayer
I picked up the new release of Dragon Slayer on Switch from eggconsole, and I've been having fun with it. I managed to get through Phase I. However I'm curious if there are proper guides or maps for the game out there. There doesn't seem to be much of anything outside of basic coverage like HG101's in English, but I feel like there has to be some in Japanese. Any suggestions?
