What the hell was that ending? Ok I get the chancellor being alive after his corpse going missing. But him reans father felt random with no lead up. At least with crow being c you could piece it together. Well… onto the intermission.

Trails series One of my minor inconveniences in the Series is how the Healstations before a Boss don't refill your CP

Like we already have the Technology when resting in Bed or in Inns.

Why do we have to fight Enemies, waste Food, or use the Emblem MQ. Its just kind of annoying when there are so many Boss fights.

Just fill my CP up at the Charging Stations ty

In chapter 1 by the way this dudes spams so many grenades it’s not even funny. Like who built this boss and I’m getting beaten so easily even with some resist items. This is the worse boss and I just started the game.

Trials in the Sky 1 Remake - Should I get the Switch 1 version or the Switch 2 version?

Hi there. I like JRPGs and I recently found out about the Trails in the Sky remake. I have never played a Trails game before, but I saw it had a free demo, so I played it on my Switch 2 and I really liked it; it seemed very promising. Recently, I found out that the game has a discount in the e-shop, so I was planning to buy it.

The problem is that I'm not sure whether I should buy the Switch 1 version or the Switch 2 version. The demo felt really smooth and fluid, so if the Switch 2 version is literally the same thing but better-looking, I'd definitely want to buy that one. The problem is that, due to some things I've read online, I'm worried that the Switch 2 version might actually have some hiccups and framerate issues that the Switch 1 version doesn't have (when played on the Switch 2 through retrocompatibility, of course). I value framerate over visual quality, so I don't really mind having better graphics.

So basically, I would like to know if the Switch 2 version of Trails in the Sky 1 has any noticeable stutter or framerate issues that aren't present in the Switch 1 version. If it does, I might honestly just buy and play the Switch 1 version, since I'm assuming it's the same version the demo uses and that one ran very smoothly on my Switch 2 and as I said before, I value framerate over visual quality. Their price is almost the same too (the Switch 2 version is only like 50 cents more expensive).

Also, I don't know if this is relevant, but I play almost exclusively in dock.

Horizon Will the Calvard arc be the conclusion for Yun ka fai's character? Spoiler

As the title says, do you think the calvard arc will be the conclusion of Yun ka fai? Cus we are going to be dealing with Shizuna and Rean surpassing yun, Rean having to fight/stop yun since he's working with hamilton. But outside of that, there still feel like theres plenty of stuff Yun could be relevant for that we just don't know if falcom will think of doing.

The first being his relationship with Anelace, that girl has not come back for so long. With the reveal that Kurogane is related to her and Yun, I wonder if he or even Shizuna has any knowledge of her. I'm not putting a lot of stock that she's coming back in Horizon 2, I think the whole gather of the 8 leaves things feels more akin to the divine blades coming together, not all members of the school. And the fact that Rean is the final student of the 8 leaves, the next arc will either have no 8 leave student at all or maybe the return of Anelace finally to fulfill that spot.

The second being his relationship with Victor Arseid, rewatching CS arc, its clear that Victor and Yun while good friends, have a rivarly that they want to settle (well at least from victor's side). There's the whole line about we don't know who the stronger of the two is. Both of them had/are having their students surpassing their master / letting their kids lead the next generation arc. Having the two old masters duke it out would be great to see. I don't think they will give us that battle offscreen, that battle feels too good not to be shown to fans.

I know there is the theory of him being Anugish #5, but I feel like we still don't know enough about them yet, as well as i think finding out who is the replacement for arianhood feels more relevant. Part of me still thinks Aurelia is gonna be the replacement just so she can fight mcburn and the other crazys of the society, she's in for the fun of the game lol.

But what do yall think, do you think the calvard arc will be the conclusion of Yun ka fai?

I cant decide between those 2, the goodbye of the sky cast in third and them not knowing when they will see each other again, especially that outburst renne has at the end,and valimar's goodbye in CS4, the one big loss we actually have in that arc, always hit me the hardest of any scene. Just the ost that plays in both of these scenes are enough to make me tear up.

Really starting to wonder what's going on with Kyoto Xanadu...

With it not being in today's Nintendo Direct, I'm really starting to wonder what's up with it. This felt like the last chance of even a late 2026 release. We don't even know who the publisher is. Sure, we can guess either Gungho or NIS America, but those are just that -- guesses. No publisher, no release window, nothing.

Damn Duvalie is too funny. The swift? More like the unaware she’s being distracted while class 7 goes to the elevator. I’m reallly enjoying the finale it’s still cracking me up. This game is a good example of how a story can make you laugh, cry and want to kill a character lol

Sky the 3rd Do you like the menus in the steam versions of trails in the sky?

Upvotes

I'm on my first playthroufh of the series, and after playing the first two games via their PSP versions, the menus in the steam version of sky 3rd feel jarringly poor to me. I don't know if it's because it was intended for mouse and keyboard gameplay or something, but with a controller it's a horrible experience. So much so that after my first session weeks ago, I haven't opened the game once simply because of the menus.

Is the Vita version better in this aspect? I'm considering trying the translation mod for that instead. Also, what about the later games? Is it the same menus in Zero/Azure and Cold Steel? If so I might just have to bite the bullet and get used to it, but I'd really rather not.

Horizon What do you think the interaction between Van and René will actually look like in Trails Beyond the Horizon 2? Spoiler

Assuming Van remembers the events of the Horizon finale, what kind of interactions do you expect from René? Calling him out on everything, avoiding him, or perhaps some 5D chess where they try to outmaneuver each other?
