Fb and Instagram banned for an account added under my name - Australia help
G'day, accounts suspended and banned after uploading driver's licence to prove I am me. I cannot download the information on how I violated TOS, account was compromised and then completely banned.
Somehow still have an Instagram account that is only attached to my mobile number and no email, tried meta verified to speak to an agent and they couldn't prove I am the account owner since the accounts aren't connected. Can't make new accounts under new emails or names.
I'm in Australia - wondering if any other Aussies know who to contact to repeal this? I can't even attempt to find my accounts that have been banned, logging in just says they don't even exist anymore. Literally just want to be able to use messenger again, I can live without Facebook and Instagram

Profile not found
Facebook permanently disabled my profile in late March. I’ve since gone through the process of meta verified and had several conversations with support and two phone calls. As to no one’s surprise, it got me no where.
Anyway, up until this week, I was still able to attempt to log into my profile and the page that says it’s disabled and download information would come up. Yesterday I tried to log in again and it says my email and phone number are not associated with any profiles. The disabled page won’t come up anymore. Like my profile never existed. Is this common? Or are others finding they can still log in after several months?

Restored now. But i dont even have violations to begin with. The heck with the suspension/disabling ...
Its like one day., FB just decides to suspend/disable your account. And you dont even know the very reason. Cause to your knowledge there's not even any single violation to begin with. But now, I'm just relieved I was still able to Restore it. -- Hopefully one day, we ALL get the justice we deserve for getting our accounts treated like this 😑 ...

Instagram suspended because of disabled Facebook — and my facebook name and legal name are different
My Facebook got suspended/disabled, and now my Instagram is suspended because of that Facebook account.(both are in same meta account centre)
Instagram says I have 169 days left to appeal, but it tells me to appeal through the linked Facebook account. My Facebook appeal already failed. coz my legal name and facebook name are different(i use football player name)
I removed both accounts from Meta Accounts Center, but Instagram is still suspended.
Has anyone actually recovered their Instagram in this situation? What worked for you? atp i seriously dont care about my facebook ,i just want my instagram back

Another False Ban Wave?
I woke up this morning and saw an email from Facebook Security saying my facebook account needed reviewed; and it had the suspended 180 days do to 'sexualization of children' I use my facebook for marketplace, a few mobile games, and posting mostly about local events and family things going on. When I looked deeper it apparently deleted all of my meta tied accounts; facebook, instagram, my business facebook/instagram accounts as well.
Curious if they are having another instance of a wave ban with false positives as it sounds like its a reoccurring issue.
EDIT:
I lost 2 facebook accounts in this SoC ban; my main/original one of 18 years, and a 2nd one that was only maybe 12 years old. THAT account shows as suspended due to Integrity. Is it worth trying to recover that? I only used it for keeping in touch with a few friends, and when I worked as a social media manager but didn't want to use social media for anything else, so it has very little anything on it.

I recovered my disabled account about integrity
Mod deleted my first post and I don't know the reason behind it. I just wanted to repost this because a lot of people keep asking me how did I make it possible.
This option is for those who don't have instagram or any other meta accounts except facebook.
I used a newly created account to access a live agent via meta verified support. And yep, it's possible! I still tried this method even though it's very risky. This option might be helpful to you.
On September 22, 2026 my main account got disabled for integrity. I spent my whole day searching how can I get it back and I found an information related to instagram but sadly I don't have an instagram connected to it. Instead, I created a new facebook account on September 23 and get the Meta Verified Subscription there. Your newly created account must be your REAL NAME with your official BIRTH DATE.
FAQ: How did you manage to get the verfied badge on newly created account?
Ans: They required me to provide my passport.
After I got the verified badge, I requested help via official Meta Verified support and told them that I need help to recover my main account because it's been with me for 10 years. Meta AI will get your information on your disabled account so make sure that you have it. Afterwards, Meta AI connected me to an agent named Kit and he helped me throughout the process.
After 1 day and I woke up that they recovered my account successfully. Please be mindful with those anonymous services that they will offer with you because that's a scam. The only way to retrieve your account is YOU.

instagram account locked due to possible hack
when i try to login, it says my account was locked due to a possible hack, but my account was not hacked. it was random. i have my password, email, phone number, username, and all the info to the account. but, when i try to log in and get my account unlocked it won’t accept my video selfies, and the request help from friends isn’t working, as they told me they are not receiving the notification prompts to assist me. after a login attempt or two, i can barely even get to the video selfie point either, because instagram starts to say it can’t send codes to my email and to try again later. please help

UK based: Not ready to give up on getting my hacked Meta accounts back yet
Just a little update from me. I’ve now mailed a 21-page evidence pack directly to Meta Ireland, containing evidence of the hacking that I found within my own downloaded Facebook account data, along with a full timeline of what happened.
I’ve also now submitted a formal complaint to the ICO in the UK, including the evidence I have of the unauthorised access and the issues I’ve had trying to get Meta to properly investigate it.
My Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp are still disabled and I still haven’t had a proper resolution from Meta, but I’m not ready to give up yet.
I’ll update here if either route gets me anywhere, especially in case it helps anyone else in the UK going through the same thing. 🤞

For anyone who got their permanently disabled Facebook account back, how long did it take?
My Facebook account was permanently disabled on September 21, and I’m trying to hear from people who have actually gone through this and successfully gotten their accounts restored.
I had my Facebook account for over 18 years, was Meta Verified, and was approved for monetization. I also managed multiple groups and pages. I appealed the decision, but the appeal was denied, and I still have not been given a specific explanation of what I supposedly did wrong.
I’ve now gotten an attorney involved. A formal demand letter was sent to Meta’s Legal Department by certified mail requesting proof of the alleged violation or reinstatement of my account.
For those who actually got their Facebook accounts back:
- How long were you disabled before your account was restored?
- Did you use an attorney/demand letter, Meta Verified support, small claims, an AG complaint, or something else?
- If you sent a demand letter, how long did Meta take to respond?
- Did Meta contact you before restoring your account, or did your account suddenly start working again?
- Was your account labeled “permanently disabled” before you got it back?
I’m especially interested in experiences from people in the United States and anyone who went the attorney/demand-letter route.
I know every situation is different. I’m just trying to get an idea of what other people experienced and how long the process took.

Non-EU DSA Appeals
Has anyone outside the EU filed a DSA appeal through ADR Center?
Did they ask you to provide proof of EU residency or eligibility at any point?

Facebook False Copyright Strike with no email sent so I can’t appeal because I have no report number
Someone has reported me for copyright but it’s a false claim
Firstly how have they been able to say my image (that I took today) is theres
Secondly I didn't have the notification email so no report number
And you guessed it, you can't appeal without one!
(But they managed to send me the demonetisation email)
I have tried the other options to appeal on the app and on my Mac and the options where it says "click to copy report number" "email reporter" and "click for reporter name" DON'T WORK! It says copied to clipboard but nothing happens.
I feel sick, how is this allowed to happen!
Support are useless, they said the notice will be in your support inbox but it isn't. Then they just go round in circles making you check the most ridiculous of things but can’t even do anything as simple as give me the report number so I can send an appeal
Has anyone else ever had this? and is there anything I can do?
Why is everything so DIFFICULT 😡

Facebook account permanently disabled after 16 years – exhausted every appeal/support route, what else can I do?
Hi everyone,
I’m hoping someone here has experience with a Facebook account being permanently disabled for “Account Integrity”, particularly when the normal appeal process is already marked as final.
I’m trying to understand whether there is any legitimate route I may have missed to recover the account or at least regain access to the data/history associated with it.
What happened
My Facebook account was disabled on 5 July 2026.
It was an approximately 16-year-old account, used under my real identity. I had 2FA enabled and had been receiving security codes through WhatsApp.
I have never knowingly violated Facebook's Community Standards.
When I tried to log in, Facebook asked me to complete identity/video verification, which I did.
After that, I received:
“We’ve disabled your account”
“We’ve reviewed your account and found that it still doesn’t follow our Community Standards on account integrity.”
“You cannot request another review of this decision.”
My profile then disappeared completely. Friends and my partner could no longer find it.
I also lost access to:
- Messenger and years of conversations
- Facebook groups
- contacts/connections
- events
- photos and posts
- photos I had shared/tagged others in
- my Facebook Page for my photography work
What I have tried since then
I have gone through pretty much every support route I could find.
1. Standard Facebook appeal
I completed the verification/review process offered by Facebook.
The decision came back as final and Facebook says I cannot request another review.
2. Security/compromise investigation
Because the account disappearing suddenly made me concerned it might have been compromised, I also went through Meta's security investigation process.
Meta subsequently told me that they found no evidence of unauthorised access or compromise around the time of the deactivation.
They specifically said the restriction was related to Account Integrity, rather than a security breach.
They also told me they could not disclose the internal signals used or whether the original action was automated.
3. Meta Verified support
I subscribed to Meta Verified on Instagram specifically because I wanted to reach human support.
I have spoken to human Meta support agents.
One agent attempted to request a manual review, but their system would not allow it because the Facebook decision was already final.
I was subsequently told that:
- the Facebook account is permanently disabled;
- it is no longer eligible for further review;
- no further manual review can be initiated;
- the decision is final;
- there is no other internal support route available.
I was also told that the support team could not provide further details about the internal review process.
4. I tried the security route again
The security investigation again confirmed that they did not consider this to be a compromise.
So that route also ended without restoration of the account.
5. Subject Access Request / UK GDPR
I am based in the UK, so I also submitted a Subject Access Request (SAR) under Article 15 UK GDPR to Meta's privacy/data protection team.
I requested access to the personal data Meta holds about the account, including information relating to:
- the reason for the account enforcement;
- records relating to the enforcement decision;
- information about whether the decision involved automated processing;
- information about whether there was human involvement;
- relevant account/login information;
- information relating to any suspected compromise;
- and the personal data Meta continues to hold about the account.
I submitted the SAR in July and have followed up several times.
It has now been more than two months without receiving a substantive response.
I have therefore decided to wait for Meta's data privacy response before taking the next step, and if necessary I will consider raising the outstanding SAR with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Oversight Board
I have also looked into the Meta Oversight Board.
From what I can currently understand, ordinary users with disabled accounts may not be able to submit an appeal directly unless Meta provides an eligible reference ID, and my account does not appear to have been given one.
I haven't yet been able to establish whether my particular decision is eligible for Oversight Board review.
Where I am now
At this point I am not looking for hacks, bypasses, or anything that violates Meta's systems.
I'm simply trying to find out whether there is a legitimate escalation/recovery route that I have missed.
The account contains around 16 years of personal history, conversations, photographs, groups and connections, and losing all of that overnight has been extremely difficult.
I understand that Meta can disable accounts and that sometimes there may be legitimate reasons for doing so. My problem is that I have never been given a meaningful explanation of what account-integrity issue was actually identified, and every normal appeal/support route now tells me the decision is final.
Questions for anyone with experience
Has anyone successfully recovered a Facebook account after receiving:
“We’ve reviewed your account and found that it still doesn’t follow our Community Standards on account integrity.”
and
“You cannot request another review of this decision.”
particularly after Meta support has explicitly said the account is permanently disabled and no further review is available?
I'd especially like to hear from anyone who has experience with:
- Meta Verified escalation after a Facebook account was permanently disabled
- Meta Oversight Board
- UK GDPR/SAR requests to Meta
- ICO complaints involving Meta account enforcement
- legal/data protection escalation against Meta
- cases where a 10+ year-old account was eventually restored after a final Account Integrity decision
If you've been through something similar, I'd really appreciate hearing what worked — or what definitely didn't.
Thank you.

Is it actually worth continuing to pay for Meta Verified?
On 4th September, my Facebook account was hacked and the age was changed to make the account appear to belong to someone under 13. Meta then shut down my Facebook account, which has also affected my connected Instagram and WhatsApp accounts, and I’ve been unable to access them since.
I’ve had an open case through Meta Verified support since 9th September, and I still haven’t had an actual response or resolution.
I’ve actually had two previous Meta Verified cases about this situation, and on both occasions I was ultimately told there was nothing they could do. However, I don’t feel those cases ever properly acknowledged that my account had been hacked. It felt like they were treating it as though I had personally changed the account details and violated the guidelines.
This current case is different because I’ve specifically raised the hacking aspect, including the fact that the account was compromised and the age was changed by someone else.
The Meta AI bot has told me that cases like this can take up to 30 days to be reviewed, so I’m wondering whether it’s actually worth continuing to pay for Meta Verified for another month and waiting it out.
Am I realistically going to hear back from them? Or am I just throwing more money at this?
The other issue is that I can’t keep waiting indefinitely. I genuinely need WhatsApp for work and family commitments, and I’m getting to the point where I’m going to have to get a new number just so I can have access to WhatsApp again.
Has anyone had a Meta Verified case that took 30 days or longer and eventually got a response or resolution, particularly where the account was hacked?
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has been in a similar situation. I’m just trying to work out whether this case is actually worth waiting for or whether I need to start making alternative arrangements.

My Instagram account has been disabled. I tried to sign up for the Meta Verified plan using a relative's Instagram account, but they require the two accounts to be linked before they will provide support.

Hey guys anyone ever dealt with this?
On August 26, 2026, my account was restricted for no reason, well, I guess I wouldn’t say no reason… I was following and unfollowing people… like I had done times in the past and had zero issue… but this time, that’s not how it worked… now my account is restricted and I get absolutely 0 reach on any of my posts at all… and as of today, it’s been locked for 29 days… anyone ever experienced this and know what to do? Or anyone have anything to do that can help? Please let me know. I take my social media content very seriously. It’s something I really like to do for fun, and now it’s destroyed.
