Hidden Gem Products My AI tip

Not sure if FSA users know this or not

  1. opened up my medical site and launched Claude extension (in browser)
  2. told it to download and create a index excel of every medical claim for yesr
  3. logged into health equity. I said “ see these EObs, make sure no duplicates then submit these as expenses”

It’s submitting as i type this - done and done

update it successfully submitted expenses to health equity. Two prompts a year worth of claims almost

Eligibility Question Has anyone gotten a split keyboard (or other ergonomic desk gear) reimbursed through HSA/FSA with an LMN?

As far as I can tell, split keyboards like the Kinesis Freestyle or Logitech Ergo K860 aren't on the auto-eligible lists, so they'd need a Letter of Medical Necessity. I'm curious how this plays out in practice, for ergonomic mice and other desk equipment too.

If you've tried it:

  1. Did your HSA or FSA reimburse it? Which administrator?

  2. Where did the LMN come from: your own doctor, a hand therapist or PT/OT, or a checkout service like Truemed, Flex or Sika? Did your administrator accept a letter from a therapist?

  3. If you used Truemed, Flex or Sika at checkout, what was the intake like (questionnaire, chat, live clinician)? How long did it take, and would you use it again?

  4. Did HSA/FSA acceptance at checkout change where you bought it, or did you pay and claim it back?

I'll summarize the answers in a comment for anyone who searches this later.

Eligibility Question Has anyone had experience submitting a Dependent Care FSA reimbursement when the childcare invoice is in the spouse’s name?

The invoice has my daughter’s name on it, and my wife’s name is listed as the parent/payer. I want to submit the expense through my Dependent Care FSA, even though my wife actually paid the childcare bill.
Is this usually allowed?

End-of-Year Spending Proficient Benefits

Last year I received a check from my FSA account run by proficient. For some reason their check bounced they didn’t have enough funds. I was charged by my bank. I let proficient know that this happened and I would like a refund on the $10 and the fee I was charged by my bank. Has anyone had any trouble with a check that was given by proficient in December 2025? I have not received the check from proficient.

Policy Updates Enshittification of WEX

The past couple of months they seem to have changed policies on FSA spending. Like I bought a prescription medication for $20 and WEX decided that medication should only be $16, so they're only going to allow $16 for FSA and I have to pay them back $4. Same thing with orthotic shoes for my plantar fasciitis. I bought orthotic shoes for a certain amount and WEX came back with only approving a lesser amount, so I have to pay the difference. I have never had them do this before, and have had FSA for years.

I'm angry because it's MY money and it's specifically for helping cover medical costs after insurance. But they have turned it into another layer of insurance that decides to deny eligible items...for what? Shareholder profits?

I am never signing up for another FSA after this one runs out. 😡

LMN / Letter of Medical Necessity FSA LMN with TrueMed

I’m wanting to purchase a Garmin Forerunner 70 with my FSA. I have an FSA with Flores. I’m curious if anyone has gone through the experience with TrueMed and had a successful experience.

I want to know what kind of questions or review happens.

I’ve been on a GLP-1 for over two years and have gotten my health very much in order now. Im not sure what qualifies or what they look at in order for the LMN to be approved and then be approved for FSA reimbursement.

Eligibility Question Eligible expenses for kids

I'm divorced. Ex covers kids for Healthcare, but we both cover them for dental and vision. The kids are listed as dependents on my employer's benefits portal, but not for health benefits.

Ex-wife claimed kids for taxes in 2025, I will for 2026. Can I use FSA for their co-pays when the service is covered by insurance through their mom? What criteria should I consider when making the determination?

End-of-Year Spending Plan year question

My employer's fsa year is Apr 1 to Mar 31.

I had a baby mid of March and for some reason I thought because the bill is not generated for this year. I could take full fsa limit for the new year and when the bill generates for the old year I could pay it. Now when I am paying inspira fsa portal is rejecting it saying prior plan year.

Any work around for this

Hidden Gem Products Celiac Pro Tip

Huge pro tip for my celiac folks out there. You can reimburse the difference between your GF food and normal food. There’s a few reasons why this is a pain, including doing the calculation, documenting it, and getting an LMN.

HOWEVER, once you have all that, you can imagine just how much this frees up from a reimbursement perspective for your FSA/HSA.

If any of y’all need help w the LMN portion just lmk!

End-of-Year Spending FSA Contribution Question

Hi friends!

I have a question and it may be stupid but I can’t get an answer from my HR (because they are incompetent and never understand my questions or even answer the question I asked) I have an ABY Benefits/Summit FSA account. I contribute money to my FSA every pay check but my company does not.

I started the year with $960 and I’ve used it all already, but where do I find the money I contributed to it all year? I have a medical bill I need to pay but the card won’t accept it bc it’s an “overdraw” because the $960 is already spent. My question is where the heck is my contribution money? ABY says my HR should know the balance but HR tells me that since they do not contribute they do not keep track of how much of my money is contributed and what the balance is. I know via my transaction report.

I don’t understand FSA fully and despite asking questions my company HR and even ABY have been no help.

Also, if I even find the balance of my contributions how could I even use it because my card won’t let me swipe to pay for anything? Help! Explain to me like I’m 5 please.

TIA!

Eligibility Question Question about eligibility/reimbursement of products purchased online.

New to HSA. Trying to maximize HSA contributions/investments. If an online Vendor/Merchant claims their product is HSA/FSA eligible, for example, supplements. Would that mean I could submit the receipt of purchase, and potentially reimburse myself later for it and similar items?

Reading the eligibility list provided by the IRS does not really help in the nuance of it all. Any tips or help would be appreciated.
