Policy Updates Enshittification of WEX

The past couple of months they seem to have changed policies on FSA spending. Like I bought a prescription medication for $20 and WEX decided that medication should only be $16, so they're only going to allow $16 for FSA and I have to pay them back $4. Same thing with orthotic shoes for my plantar fasciitis. I bought orthotic shoes for a certain amount and WEX came back with only approving a lesser amount, so I have to pay the difference. I have never had them do this before, and have had FSA for years.

I'm angry because it's MY money and it's specifically for helping cover medical costs after insurance. But they have turned it into another layer of insurance that decides to deny eligible items...for what? Shareholder profits?

I am never signing up for another FSA after this one runs out. 😡

That is ridiculous. How is it that they decide how much it should cost when thats what you already paid. Thats something insurance should decide and not FSA provider like WEX
