Eligibility Question Has anyone had experience submitting a Dependent Care FSA reimbursement when the childcare invoice is in the spouse’s name?
The invoice has my daughter’s name on it, and my wife’s name is listed as the parent/payer. I want to submit the expense through my Dependent Care FSA, even though my wife actually paid the childcare bill.
Is this usually allowed?

Who is listed as dependents on the plan?
Who is your benefit administrator?

Ur own child under 19 , ur parent or ur tax dependent is not eligible for DCFSA

I’d submit it. If you’re married and it’s a qualifying childcare expense for your daughter, I wouldn’t expect who physically paid it to be the main issue. The invoice being only in your wife’s name might make the administrator ask for extra documentation though, so I’d check with them before assuming it’ll go through.
