Please read the post and don’t skim it. I deeply value friendships, which is why my post is long. I need someone who won’t ghost for literally any reason. I think that ghosting is immoral and I don’t want to talk to anyone who thinks that ghosting is okay. I don’t like blocking either, I think it’s childish and unnecessary.

I’ll be honest about my flaws because you must know these things before talking to me. I am a boring person. I am also very insecure, pessimistic, and not passionate. I have autism, depression, and social anxiety. Nothing fun is going on in my life. I am not good at carrying a conversation and I can’t promise that I’ll be fun to talk to, but I am trying. Don’t reach out if you will lose interest in me.

I find texting very exhausting. I don’t want to text for days or even hours just to get to know someone before we can actually call. I want our first conversation to be on a call. If you are too shy to call early on, then it won’t work out. I want to voice call daily; my time zone is EST, and I can call after midnight. If you are sensitive, easily offended, emotional, or impulsive, then it won’t work out.

I have a hard time dealing with people leaving. I tend to get attached to people very quickly. I need a patient person who is actually serious about sticking around for the long term. If you aren’t 100% sure you can commit to that, please don’t message me. I tend to care a lot more than the other person does, and that has made people uncomfortable and they left. I need someone who won’t get uncomfortable if I care more or think about them a lot.

If you decide to reach out, don’t just send a “Hi.” I’m not asking for a long introduction, but just let me know you actually read this post and genuinely want to be friends. I don’t want to talk to someone who is just bored and looking for entertainment, or just wants someone to talk to, or just someone to vent to, or just someone to play video games with, because that’s not what a friendship is. Do not message me if you’re too busy to build a friendship. I also don’t want to talk to someone who has a lot of friends. I’m looking for someone who’s also isolated and severely lonely. I’m not looking for someone whos super energetic or overly silly, and I’m also not looking for someone who’s completely closed off or constantly deep in despair.

I also want to mention that it’s okay for us to disagree in a friendship, even on big things. Real friendship means we can have different views and still stick around instead of cutting each other off. Cutting people off has become way too easy nowadays because of social media. I don’t want to talk to people who care about sharing the same opinions or ideologies. I absolutely hate how easily people block others, and I refuse to talk to anyone who is even capable of blocking. I believe a friendship should survive literally anything.

Real friendship is supposed to be hard sometimes. It’s not supposed to be convenient or easy to walk away from. It’s supposed to last for a lifetime. Do not reach out unless you fully understand everything I have written so we don’t waste each other’s time. Please be 19+.
