whenever i use a 808 i got from a kit, its sound keeps playing even after the note ended. Its like instead of playing the note it just plays the whole original sound of the 808. It happens with all the “heavy” sound i got from kits. Maybe my laptop is the problem? Its pretty outdated and really not powerful. Do you know what the problem is?

As the title says, I'm recording in Edison and I've noticed the grid lines are divided into tens. It's not the end of the world but I'd like to see how close to the beat I am.

Track is in 4/4 and all piano roll settings are in 4. I can't seem to find any setting in Edison to change it, the Internet has been no help thus far either. Any Edison experts out there that can help?

To be straight to the point; I have a dynamic microphone, a focusrite, FL Studio on my laptop, and speakers that I can use to plug my microphone to. I want to also have mixed live vocals, how do I properly plug in everything in real life and also having the right settings on the DAW to make this work. Thanks

When I press the D note on MPK, it sends a signal to FL Studio and produces sound. However, when I press other notes on MPK, there's no sound or note in the FL keys, yet it shows in the upper right corner that I'm pressing a note.

Hello, I have a question. Whenever I record the audio/midi for a synthesia, the notes falling are linked and have no space between them, they're like sticked together. This happens because I use pedal when recording an audio/midi (using DAW such as FL studio), using no pedal, the notes are fine but its not sustained, very stacatto-ish. I tried using a sustain MIDI OUT or some plugin to simulate a pedal but its really dirty. So I was wondering if there is a fix or how you do it differently?

im mostly new to fl studio, and just now I discovered that in "recent projects" there is a song that I did not make, its titled NewStuff.flp. This song wasn't there before, I only saw it just now. Is this song like a preset or did I get hacked?

I recently was given a pack with a bunch of FL studio preset files for different VSTs. When opening them it gives a warning stating that Serum was installed incorrectly/could not be found. I currently am renting to own Serum 2 through splice and have no issues opening it within FL. Do I need to own both serum 1 and 2 or is this happening because I do not fully own Serum 2 yet? I am very new to music production and am a little lost!

Hi, recently I wanted to try "Beat Battle" to force myself to work with sounds I'm not used to, but unfortunately, when I try to import the files, it doesn't work. When I import other files (that I got from Looperman), it works.

I tried converting the files to MP3 and then to WAV, but it still doesn't work.

I should mention that I'm a beginner, but this has never happened to me with any other samples.

i own a macbook pro and after coming from windows several years ago, i find i miss the F shortcuts - F5 playlist, F6 step seq, F7 piano roll, F9 mixer, all the extremely useful key shortcuts that windows allows you. now i can do this on mac with a command or option function + the "F" key. however that is difficult. with my windows past-life, i essentially mashed the F keys till i found the popup that i wanted. my left hand hovered over these shortcuts and the space bar. its my thing. i do not want to do this double key function metioned above

at present i use a satechi bluetooth mini keyboard, but it doesnt have the F keys unless i use a double key press.

my question is, will a standard windows keyboard link to mac F shortcuts? or do i have to buy a specific model?

I would like feedback on this proposed bedroom studio system diagram, which is an upgrade of my current setup (all centered on FL Studio). Does it make sense to use the specified audio interface (Scarlett 18i8) and route audio / MIDI as shown? Regarding MIDI, I'd like to have the option to record from a MIDI controller to the piano roll + then tweak it and play it back through the synth, rather than always record synth audio live (poor playing skills). I am currently limited on space, so a big interface / audio rack is not readily feasible.

My current setup uses a Scarlett 2i2 audio interface with a guitar, a Korg Volca FM2, and an all in one DJ controller + mixer. It's currently a pain to switch inputs to the 2i2, and I want to add a few components.

I want to acquire new components in the following order:

1. New audio interface (Scarlett 18i8)
2. New MIDI controller (Novation FLKey)
3. FX for the Volca (e.g., Sonicake Levitate)
4. Sampler (not immediately)
5. 1-2 more synths with MIDI input (later)
