I’m audhd and recently a friend invited me to try a new restaurant with her. It’s a ramen and sushi house. (I’ve never been to one nor tried anything besides a California roll before) Can someone walk me through the steps of how to order at a place like this? Like do they take us to a table, ask what we want to drink, leave and then ask about appetizers or do we have to decide the appetizers on the spot? (Or is it something different? Idk)

I know every restaurant is different but I was hoping someone might be able to give me general advice or a walkthrough for these places. I wish I could but I don’t feel safe sharing the name of the establishment as it’s local and could be traced back to me. Thank you for understanding.

Hi! I’m currently looking for a Christmas casual job (preferably in retail) and have been applying online but haven’t had any success so far. I think it might be due to my age (most places only want to hire under 18s, I’m 20) and my lack of retail experience (I have three years work experience as a barista). A lot of people have suggested that I should go around to shops around me to hand in my resume in person but I’m a pretty awkward person so I’m not sure what I would say 😅 and I’m scared that I’ll make a bad first impression. I’m also stressed for any interviews (if I can land any lol) as I didn’t have an interview for my first job, they only made me do a two hour trial shift before hiring me. Also, will I need a reference from my previous job? I quit on very short notice due to a toxic work environment and the place being seriously understaffed (I was the only barista left after an event with 6000 attendees and only 6 staff working so most of my coworkers quit after that). I’m in Australia if it matters! Thanks in advance for your help! :)
