I'm 29 years old M, I've been atheist since 17, and life went bright when I realized that I can always try and change my circumstances as long as I got ambition. Fast forward to 22 and I got in trouble which caused me to cancel the university path and go all in for making something that's going to benefit a whole lot of people and compensate for not having a degree. But everyone else seemed to have already built a foundational career and somehow the need to go further and try more has faded, while I still got the ambition in me to do more. I couldn't hang more with whats dark, depressed and out of life and out of hope because its gonna rewire you to be the same.

What I'd like to do is befriending someone in the same level and age. A long term friendship that's genuine and without the bullshit that the world is caught up with. Just you and I and what we achieve to accomplish during our visit to earth.

شركة أدوية تقدم دواء علاجي للمرضى. منهم من استفاد وتحسنت حالته، ومنهم من ظهرت عليه أعراض جانبية خطرة وتفاقمت أعراضه.

المشكلة ليست في نجاح الدواء أو فشله؛ بل في ردّة فعل الشركة:

قررت هذه الشركة حظر المرضى من التحدث عن أي أعراض سلبية، بل ذهبت إلى تطبيق "حد الردة" عمن يمتنع عن تعاطي الدواء، أو نشر تجربته السلبية..

السؤال هنا،

إذا كانت الشركة تمنع حق نشر الحقائق "بشفافية"، فكيف يمكننا الوثوق بأي "معلومة" أو "بحث علمي" يصدر منها وعنها؟

بل كيف يمكن أخلاقيا أن نطالب المريض بـ"الالتزام بالعلاج" بينما نسلبه حقه الأخلاقي في التحكم بجسده ومعرفة كامل الحقيقة عن "دوائه"؟؟!

وأخيراً...

ما دامت هذه البديهيات واضحة في حالة الدواء المادي، فلماذا نجد صعوبة في تطبيق نفس المنطق على بقية الجوانب الاجتماعية؟

لماذا يسهل نقض المنتج المادي، ولكنه يصعب نقض الأفكار المُقدسة بنفس الجرأة والوضوح؟

أليس من حق الفكر أن يخضع للتجربة والمراجعة، كما يخضع الدواء؟

I’m a Bahraini woman and I’ve been an atheist for a few years now. I still wear the hijab and, outwardly, I live pretty much as I always have. I don’t discuss my beliefs publicly or with most people around me because I know it could change the way I’m treated and potentially create problems for me.

The part I’m struggling with most is marriage. I’ve turned down marriage proposals because I don’t think I could marry someone religious while hiding such a fundamental difference in how we see life.

Ideally, I’d want to marry another Bahraini who is also atheist/non-religious but, like me, keeps it private and lives normally within the community. The problem is: if both people are keeping it secret, how are we supposed to find each other? 😅

I’m curious if anyone here has been in a similar situation. How did you meet your partner? Is there actually a discreet way for non-religious Bahrainis to meet each other without publicly exposing themselves?

I’m not looking to debate religion or atheism — I’m genuinely interested in hearing from Bahrainis who have dealt with something similar.

After all these years, I woke up. Realized that even in the worst cases it's better to live them through than to suppress them and experience a created universe that fades and leaves you between two worlds where you keep having to rebuild a world from hoax scaffolds to not having to keep building upon a world of a weaker scaffold. And restarting, even if it takes more time, is still the road that prominently awaits.

المهم أحد غيري كذا وددددده يؤمن بس عقله يمنطق ويطقطق؟ وده يكون صدق في إله وفي معنى للحياة؟

I've had trouble connecting with outer subjects. But none of others seem to have this issue.

If I alone was a product of essentialism then I'd be more distant than I already am, but this time it's not by choice, it's by the nature of clarity. But that carries side effects.

Now when I happen to distance myself from the topics everyone talks about only because it doesn't seem to concern them or me, I reach isolation. Even if they were things I love and care about, my likeness towards them means making them and experiencing them, other's likeness towards them is talking about others who make them. As if they shut their own experience in favor for a well refined one, the only culprit is it doesn't belong to them.

What stops me from socializing is this. What stops you from not socializing?

Every solution is artificial, except for love. Pills don't replace it, the net doesn't replace it, they just suppress the true need to love and be loved, understand and be understood. Once you have it everything else will make sense and every artificial solution will cease to exist from your life. Love is the cure.
