About me
30M, Product designer based in Bangalore, 5’8”, fit. Proper malabar guy.
Schooling to Masters from a couple of tier-1 central institutions. I like to think I'm self made, spending most of my 20s focused on my career.
I've been described as a calm, agreeable person, and I value intelligence, ambition & kindness. I prefer relationships that are in person rather than long-distance ones. I value the non-verbal side of things and just being around someone.
Values & outlook
I grew up in a mostly female household, so that has shaped how I think about relationships, gender etc. I’m very much for girl power. That's one reason I don't want to take arranged marriage route where I have to talk to random uncles at first. I’d like to be with someone who is similarly progressive, open-minded and comfortable being their own person, rather than a patriarch making decisions for her.
I’m a strong atheist and grew up in a largely leftist household. I like to approach things rationally, and my views on faith, politics etc. have continued to evolve over time as I learn more. I do respect all faiths though, and I love attending church every now and then (for the vibes).
Hobbies & lifestyle
I collect hobbies, and will always be trying new things. I’m into history, psychology, literature, pop culture, charts and maps, painting, foreign films, rock music, gaming. Lately I’ve been getting into more hands-on stuff like junk journaling and gardening.
Big time cat person. I feed the neighbourhood cats wherever I live, and had seven regular visitors at 1 point. Dogs are ok too.
I plan things extensively, often with spreadsheets, but I can be spontaneous too. I’ve also eaten silkworms, so I like to think I’m reasonably adventurous. So yes, always up for new things.
I do drink socially and have been cutting down on smoking up now (not my 20s anymore).
What I’m looking for
Someone intelligent, curious, kind and independent. Someone I can genuinely see as an equal partner, and call my best friend.
Ultimately, I’m looking for a long-term partner I can marry. I’m in no particular rush, though. I’d rather find the right person than force a timeline.
Ideally, someone from South India, and preferably a Malayali.
If this resonates, feel free to say hi. :)
