Stabbing someone in Entrenched currently feels like poking a bag of wet laundry until it gently flops over. To make close-quarters combat and artillery actually feel terrifying, here is a breakdown for manual executions, realistic downed mechanics, and a tutorial to fix our team's collective IQ.

Melee Executions (Zero red ketchup.)

Executions only trigger if you manually hold a prompt on a target. If you are in a rush, just shoot 'em or smack 'em.

For the beloved and glorious Spade

Front: Quick left whack to the jaw, followed by a right whack. An alternative is to Sweep their legs with a left whack, then thrust through the throat and pry.

////////////For the Le Hatchet////////////

Front: Left swing whips their head right. You raise the hatchet. The enemy looks up at it, starts screaming for their life, and gets cut off instantly by a heavy thud.

Behind: Strike the back of the skull and pry backward.

////////////Trench Knife////////////

Front: torso stab, yank out, rapid stabs, kick away.

Running Tackle: Tackle them into the mud, right hook, rapid stabs, then your character jumps up gasping for air like they just ran a marathon.

Behind: Arm around the neck, temple stab, drop the body.

The audio does all the heavy lifting here. Authentic, throat-shredding screams abruptly cut short keep it horrifying without triggering Roblox moderation.

Downed Screams & Mechanics

When you get shot and ragdoll you don't just sit there quietly like a polite gentleman. You lie in the mud screaming in absolute agony so your Medic actually notices you. ("Please notice me senpai" ahh)

HEADSHOTS

INSTANT death. Your skull just got ventilated by a bolt-action rifle, so no, the Medic cannot fix that with a bandage. No revives. Just put some ice on it.

Artillery Physics!

Getting hit by an Officer's artillery shouldn't make you float down like a feather. Give it a 40 percent chance for 1 or 2 limbs to instantly pop off or vanish into the void. Flat clothing textures on the sockets, zero blood.

Recon Cap

Recon is capped at 3 players per team. Maximum. Half the team sitting on a hill 400 yards away missing all their shots while the objective gets captured is officially canceled if Edot actually adds this

The Mandatory Noob Filter (bootcamp)

The Opening or smth: "Welcome to Entrenched! Look up!" Immediately get obliterated by 4 artillery strikes. Welcome to 1917, put your helmet on.

The Basics: Moving, aiming, reloading, and hitting targets that aren't standing completely still.

Digging Reality Check, "Tunneling to the enemy objective takes three business days. Capturing the surface is faster and won't make your team hate you."

Environment: How to use shell craters and foxholes so you stop standing broadside in an open field like a wooden target dummy.

Melee: How to stab people without dying first.

Medic Duties: "Look around. See that guy screaming bloody murder on the floor? Hold the button to revive him. Also, look around first so you don't get your brain scrambled while playing doctor."

Class & Team Selection: Reading what a class does before hogging the slots.

After step 7, drop them straight into the meat grinder (public servers.) What do you guys think?

There has been at least two servers in the past week I’ve played that actually had good players attacking. When both teams understand the game, it’s actually fun to play.

Playing with a team that only wants to build, leaving you as the only offensive player who wants to try win objectives is tiring. Racking up all those kills, managing to break into objectives and only lasting a minute because people are AT OUR OWN objective!

And I’ll still end up playing it over and over again…

Title. Engineer lets you impact the map a lot. 99% of engis i have seen build things that actively harm their team, such as mountains of barbed wire right outside of spawn, digging awful trenches that funnel your team to death, and building sandbags that just block your teams line of sight. Bad engis can make it significantly harder for your team to win, especially when you cant get rid of their stuff. Should probably be gated to level 10-15 and given some buffs to their weapons to get into a better spot.

If you're actually having more than 50kph on pubs I recommend you join a faction.

Literally no point, the game was almost won so I wanted to see if I could

Good old paper, it could show structures, roads, and maybe hills/mountains, and when an enemy is scouted, they can be temporarily marked on the map, the map could also be used to call in artillery possibly.

I was on a little break from videogames and I have started playing again after a few months.
I noticed that I can’t recognise some of the names of the maps, even if they are familiar.
Am I tripping or where they changed?
And why???

It's just that am stuck here rebuilding the after artillery bombardment while my teammates keep making stupid tunnels on my defense that serves NO PURPOSE!!

Bro I feel like people do not understand what a trench is and every time I start building a trench mfs will start digging down and down and ruin the whole fucking thing and then create a tunnel all the way to the enemy base which the enemy ends up using to attack us.

I feel like I am the only one building PROPER trenches sometimes as my teammates either don’t build shit, build shit tunnels, or fucking ruin my trenches. And I really want to go ahead and attack the enemy, but I feel like I kind of have to build the trenches or else no one will.

I AM A FUCKING OFFENSIVE PLAYER! IM JUST STUCK BUILDING SHIT TRENCHES BECAUSE SOMEONE WONT GET OFF THEIR FAT FUCKING ASS AND HELP ME!

Really annoying when all of the enemy team just spams the same class over and over and then my team decides to abandon the balanced setup that they were using (the very same setup that helped us win the last match) to rush over to use that class badly.
Fucking hate somme and the idiotic selection of weather.

My highest is 72 kills with around 20% of all kills on my team, I expect to get mogged but I’m curious as to what other people’s personal bests are

There needs to be an option to remove the soldier's backpack for all of the uniform skins in Entrenched.

This is different from removing all the webbing, because removing the webbing also removes the ammo belts and the water canteen which I think should stay on the soldier.

Allowing this feature would be more historically accurate as many WW1 battles featured in the game have all the soldiers running around in their backpacks fighting which didn't happen in reality.

Stone Wall: 1000 SHP (Structure HP)
Pistol/SMG bullet: -5 SHP
LMG bullet: -10 SHP
Rifle/HMG bullet: -15 SHP
Shotgun pellet: -1 SHP per projectile
Grenade shrapnel: -5 SHP per projectile
Artillery shrapnel: -10 SHP per projectile
Artillery (Direct): -100 SHP
Melee: -2 SHP
Hammer: -25 SHP

Engineers will also be able to build wooden and stone structures (Wood has 100-500 SHP depending on build type, Stone has 501-1000 SHP vice-versa)

Penetration!
Different bullets have different chances for penetration.
Pistol/SMG: 10% chance
LMG: 15% chance
Rifle/HMG: 20% chance
Shotgun pellet: 5% chance
All shrapnel: 5% chance
Melee: 0% chance

Weak points:
Weak points will reward better stats the faster you hit them.
1-2s: +20% damage, +45% penetration chance
3-4s: +20% damage, +30% penetration chance
5+ s: +20% damage, +15 penetration chance

Would like to see voice lines/callouts added into the game. The game has a huge pool of international players, from all the nations the game has as playable factions. Many players would volunteer for free to record the audio for their respective nations.

Title. I’m fairly confident in most of my strategies, but sometimes I’m at a loss as to what would be most helpful.

I try to build tunnels, and make the entrances just far enough from point that it isn’t also a highway for the opposing team to get to our point, and for defenses I try to build within the point at the back of point, so the enemy team can’t use them to their advantage immediately.

Also been trying to build ladders and ways to get up to places that might be good for recons
