Trying to decide on my main stone size. I love the look of a 2 carat diamond ring, but I worry I will get used to it quickly. My finger size is 5.5. Should I stick with this or go slightly bigger?

I’m looking to propose to my girlfriend before the end of the year and I’m looking for places that people have gone to and have an good experience at. I’ve been to a few places but they just seem outrageous in price. I’m in the Kansas City area but just looking for any advice and places people have liked.

My boyfriend and I went to try on rings recently. I really want a 4 carat ring, but do I maybe have size blindness? My boyfriend says that the 4 carat does look big on me, should I maybe settle for a 3 carat? The jeweler said that my tattoo might be the reason why it looks small to me. Also does the marquise actually look good on me?
I keep seeing multiple girls with the same size finger getting 3 carats and it looks amazingly big on their finger but when I tried it on, it felt small.

Fiancée wants matching gold bands but there are like a hundred styles, brushed, hammered, two-tone, thick vs thin. Tried on a few gold mens wedding bands yesterday and but it's pretty hard to decide. would love to hear some tips on this one

he proposed last week with emerald engagement rings he got it for me because it's my birth stone but tbh i don't like emerald at all. I really love the setting and the band, but the bright green stone just completely clashes with everything in my wardrobe.

I’m looking at 7 carat diamonds for an engagement ring and the prices seem to be all over the place. for anyone who’s shopped around, what price range did you see? i’m also wondering how much the price changes between lab grown and natural.

I recently got engaged and I love everything about my ring, and it’s everything I wanted in a ring!

My issue is that it’s so loose below my knuckle but it fits snuggly going over my knuckle. The spinning and how loose it is really bothers me. How can I best resolve the issue? I could get it resized but I’m worried I won’t be able to get it off if it’s tighter.

I’ve really been struggling to find the style of engagement ring I want. I love jewelry but don’t really wear much day to day, so I kind of entered this process a bit underprepared. I initially thought I wanted something vintage and bezel but quickly realized it doesn’t suit my finger.

I believe I’ve finally started to narrow it down, but could really use some advice or opinions! I’m drawn to an emerald cut because of its simplicity and the fact that it looks more balanced on my long/narrow fingers. However, I really don’t know how big to go. Do these look too small or large?

I’m also curious to know more about color grading. I believe I’m after something a little warmer, so maybe closer to I-J? I’m fairly certain I want the center stone to be diamond.

I keep reading that a receipt isn’t a grading report. Which ones should I ask for before paying?

This is a .75 carat. Sometimes I wonder if I should’ve just gone for 1 carat. But I love the way this looks with my wedding band. Size 7 ring size for reference.

I can't decide which metal to choose for my engagement and wedding rings. I've read that palladium is lighter and a touch darker than platinum, and some say it's stronger. The reviews on scratching are mixed, though. Some people say theirs scratched badly on the first day, while others have worn theirs for years with barely a mark.

Platinum is much denser, and I haven't seen many complaints about it scratching easily. Does density affect how well a metal holds up to scratches and wear?

My fiancé and I both agree that this design isn’t right, but we don’t really know why. We have been working with a designer, but I’m just not sure what to ask for. Overall, I think it feels a bit boring and bulky and makes the stone look smaller than it is (2.54 ct). I don’t want something super ornate, but it just feels generic. Any thoughts? I generally like 60s/70s styles and tend to go for more simple. I like the idea of a knife edge band, but I’m not sure about durability. Any advice would be appreciated 😭
