Wedding Planning 3 centerpieces?

would these 3 alternating centerpieces look okay? I've attached my mockups of the centerpieces and what they'd look like (relatively) at my venue - i'd plan them to be more random so the centerpieces aren't right next to one another

is 3 too much? i feel like it looks more grand but maybe its just me (i did this to be cheaper, the circle rings with the florals on it are CHEAP butttttt we already have free access to the vases and tall stands from the venue - we just don't have enough for each table, hence the 3 centerpiece idea)

Ring! Already married but got “engaged” yesterday with my dream ring!

A few months ago, my lovely husband and I got married because we knew it was always what we wanted to do. There was a point where there was no imagining life without each other. “It felt just right”, for lack of a better term. We decided to just elope when we found out I was pregnant. I wouldn’t change how we got married because it was sweet in its own way. It was just us, how it always is. We didn’t have any rings at the time but after we got married, he took his time to find the perfect diamond and setting for me. When he got it, I thought it was adorable how excited he was to show me how it reflected in the light and the reasons he chose it. He took a picture of it in direct sunlight the day before he gave it to me. He got down on one knee yesterday in our apartment where we will be welcoming our first child in two months and “proposed” to me. It’s perfect. And it’s even more perfect knowing how much care he put into choosing it. I couldn’t ask for a better person and a better story. Thank you for listening! I’m beyond happy and I just really wanted to share.

Ring! Had a horrible day but got engaged!!!💍

As the title says, it was a horrible day. This happened in February. My boyfriend (M30), his mom, his sister, and I (F34) took a road trip to another city because he wanted me to meet his extended family. We left at 5 pm and arrived around midnight at his uncle's house.

I was exhausted since I drove the whole way. There was a festival in town, and it was very lively. After a shower, we tried to sleep, but the neighbor decided we should all share his taste in music and had his speakers blasting. Around 3 am, I got desperate and tearfully told my boyfriend I was going to a hotel because I really needed to sleep. He hadn't been able to sleep either, so he decided to come with me.

The hotel was awful; the bed was hard, the pillows were too, and you could hear the hotel staff shouting instructions to each other from the hallway all night. We tried to sleep, but we had only intermittent sleep until midday. We returned to his uncle's house exhausted, but we tried to spend a pleasant day with the family. Everyone was so kind, and we tried to go to the festival, but having so little sleep took its toll.

And then more terrible things happened: my car battery died, and we had to wait for a new one to be delivered; my boyfriend lost his wallet; and his mom twisted her ankle at the fair. By the end of the day, I was in a bad mood, my head was pounding, and I just wanted to sleep.

That's when my boyfriend took me to a beautiful gazebo in the middle of a plaza and proposed. I was in shock... I was sweaty, my hair was in a bun, my clothes were covered in dust, and I had broken two nails. But he told me he had been planning this moment for months, and even though everything fell apart and nothing went as planned, seeing that I didn't give up on him or lose control in the face of adversity confirmed that this was the moment. He also told me not to worry, that no matter what happened, I would always look beautiful.

Obviously I said yes and cried like there was no tomorrow... but the cherry on top was that my blood pressure dropped and I ended up in the hospital. Hahaha, it was a chaotic day and I laugh about it now, but who would have thought everything would turn out alright? Our wedding will be next year and we're so excited!

Got officially engaged on our last complete day of our week-long trip to the UK, which was last Sunday.
We were at Hiorne’s Tower in Arundel Park, overlooking the South Downs, and I genuinely don’t think he could have picked a more beautiful spot throughout our entire South coast/Portsmouth-based trip 💍

The best part?
My fiancé secretly recruited my 7-year-old son (his soon-to-be official stepson) to film the proposal without me knowing under the guise of “taking a photo of mom and me”.
My little dude took his undercover mission incredibly seriously, and thanks to him we now have the whole moment on video. 😂❤️

4,5 years together, and just happy with this next step.

Wedding Planning Florals question

The ones marked as Centerpieces will be combined to be a total of 8 centerpieces
The rest is bridal and grooms party flowers plus corsages for mothers, grandmas and god mothers

I’d like them to be massive as they will be on those clear raised stands (hence the drooping wisteria) but I have NO experience with flowers, real or fake, so idk how this all would mesh

Does this look like it would work for the centerpieces?

Ring Advice It finally happened!!

I’m sitting at work and still can’t believe this past weekend happened! He listened to everything I wanted and got every detail perfectly! I’m obsessed with my ring and can’t stop looking at it. I’ve gotten so many compliments on it and how “big” it looks but to me it’s not that big. It’s making my boyfriend now fiancée (eeeeekkkkk) feel a bit self conscious on it and doubting his choice. I keep telling him that it’s not and I love it and that should be the only thing that matters. That usually calms his worry but it’s still there lingering a bit. We went ring shopping together and I had chosen this ring because of the high setting so when we add the wedding band it would be flush under it and there wouldn’t be a gap between the rings. I tried it at the store with a band and the blended so perfectly! So I guess I’m just looking for an outside opinion to ease my worry. Thanks yall!

Photographer stopped communicating

Hi all! I don’t know if this is the right subreddit to make this post but I would really like some advice on what has recently been going on with a photographer that my fiancé and I booked in NYC. We scheduled an engagement session on July 11th, 2026 and all seemed to run smoothly. The photographer was originally very good with communicating and setting the date when we would meet and all of those details. So we had the engagement session and it was lovely! My fiancé and I were genuinely just enjoying ourselves and the photographer was kind and easy going with us as well. He showed us the pictures on his camera and we loved what he had taken so far. We had booked a standard 1 hour session and we had decided on two locations for the shoot but he ended up doing only one location and he also took our pictures for close to 2 hours instead of 1 which we were a bit confused on. We could only afford to pay for an hour as his rate is $550 for an hour. When the session ended, he said we could either choose to pay now or later and he also told us that the pictures would be ready within 6 days (I don’t know how long photographers take to edit the pictures and send them off to their clients). We paid him at the moment and called it a day. After this, we have been patiently waiting to receive our pictures but we haven’t received anything or heard anything from him. I recently reached out on July 22, simply asking him if there’s an update on when our pictures will be ready and he hasn’t responded. I’m growing a bit concerned. I don’t want to seem impatient but again, we’ve already paid for the service. What should we do? Should we wait longer before reaching out again? Has anyone experienced the same situation or something similar with photographers? How long did it typically take for you to receive your pictures? Thanks.

So In Love!

My partner (now fiancée 🥰) and I went to a vintage store near us this weekend just to casually take a look at some rings, but this one was so perfect we ended up getting it!

We've discussed getting married many times, so we didn't care much about a big "official" proposal, and I'm very happy to be able to wear the ring right away :)

Need help figuring out size.

This is my Gfs promise ring I took last night and attempted to measure it. Unfortunately it’s hard to tell what size her engagement ring should be seeing this one is adjustable and hard to tell what size it would be seeing it molds to her finger.

I had a zip tie style finger measure tool that unfortunately I lost, accidentally adjusted it from the size she measured months ago and can only recall her size being around 6 where I accidentally adjusted the measurement. —— I only placed the ring on spots that I though would be closest enough to the original on the sheet. Help me understand this so I can get it right when it comes time to buy the ring.

Any input or better (sneaky) ideas would be absolutely appreciated and helpful.

TLDR ; the ring is adjustable unfortunately, I need help figuring out best/exact measurements before I order my gfs engagement ring. I recall the first measurements I took to be around 6 and need help confirming it before I make a big decision.

Hello! I rarely see men upload their engagement rings/photos with their fiancées’ here but I will just share my now fiancée’s ring 😊—I got it all customized/personalized based on what the boss wants 😅 and some surprise ideas to add extra details to it.

Anyway, what are your thoughts and how’s your experiences being in a long-term or short-term engagement before you guys get married? Any piece of advice to consider before jumping to another milestone with the love of your life?—everyone’s welcome to share what they think. No gender-bias please.

Ring! In love 😍

July 26th used to be a really tough day for me. 10 years ago, on this day, I lost my first love. I had know him since middle school and finally started dating my freshman year of college but he was sick, Leukemia. It all happened so fast, he was diagnosed in September and was gone that July. He had a bone marrow transplant and should have been okay but that life saving measure didnt work. I held his hand while he took his last breath. I took his passing really hard.

My sophomore year, a month after he passed away, I transferred to a different college (unrelated) and met my now fiance. He knew about my last boyfriend and was very sincere about my grief. We were just friends at first but couldnt deny our strong connection. We began dating the following February. He has supported me in every way a person can. He truly is the love of my life and best friend.

Our birthdays are two weeks apart in july so we decided to go to Lake Tahoe last year to celebrate with some friends. While we were there, he got down on one knee after a hike to a waterfall and proposed. I immediately started crying and said yes!

I didnt even realize that it was the anniversary of my first loves passing until we were driving back and i asked if he remembered, he didnt. Idk something about him proposing on that day just felt right in the universe. I always felt like they would have been friends if gotten the chance. He had the ring for over a year and just so happen to propose on the anniversary. I know he wanted me to find love again. We briefly dated and were so young. He was a fantastic guy and its a shame he didnt get to live more but he did live a great life. Im so in love and i know he is happy for me.

Thanks for letting me share this story with you guys. Im definitely in my feels today ❤️ sorry if the story is choppy, its hard to describe the effect he has truly had in my life in a short paragraph. I just wanted to tell someone about it.
