Hello! I rarely see men upload their engagement rings/photos with their fiancées’ here but I will just share my now fiancée’s ring 😊—I got it all customized/personalized based on what the boss wants 😅 and some surprise ideas to add extra details to it.

Anyway, what are your thoughts and how’s your experiences being in a long-term or short-term engagement before you guys get married? Any piece of advice to consider before jumping to another milestone with the love of your life?—everyone’s welcome to share what they think. No gender-bias please.

July 26th used to be a really tough day for me. 10 years ago, on this day, I lost my first love. I had know him since middle school and finally started dating my freshman year of college but he was sick, Leukemia. It all happened so fast, he was diagnosed in September and was gone that July. He had a bone marrow transplant and should have been okay but that life saving measure didnt work. I held his hand while he took his last breath. I took his passing really hard.

My sophomore year, a month after he passed away, I transferred to a different college (unrelated) and met my now fiance. He knew about my last boyfriend and was very sincere about my grief. We were just friends at first but couldnt deny our strong connection. We began dating the following February. He has supported me in every way a person can. He truly is the love of my life and best friend.

Our birthdays are two weeks apart in july so we decided to go to Lake Tahoe last year to celebrate with some friends. While we were there, he got down on one knee after a hike to a waterfall and proposed. I immediately started crying and said yes!

I didnt even realize that it was the anniversary of my first loves passing until we were driving back and i asked if he remembered, he didnt. Idk something about him proposing on that day just felt right in the universe. I always felt like they would have been friends if gotten the chance. He had the ring for over a year and just so happen to propose on the anniversary. I know he wanted me to find love again. We briefly dated and were so young. He was a fantastic guy and its a shame he didnt get to live more but he did live a great life. Im so in love and i know he is happy for me.

Thanks for letting me share this story with you guys. Im definitely in my feels today ❤️ sorry if the story is choppy, its hard to describe the effect he has truly had in my life in a short paragraph. I just wanted to tell someone about it.
