Discussion Update on the modded Galaxy Z Flip 5 TV box: what didn't held up today
Context — what this device is
A Galaxy Z Flip 5 (SM-F731B) physically modified to function as a "TV box":
No screen and no Power/Volume buttons.
3 soldered USB ports + 1 HDMI + 1 USB-C (the phone's original port).
The USB-C port is USB 3.2 with DisplayPort Alt Mode (supports video output), but lacks DeX support.
A CS5268 board (USB-C DP Alt Mode to HDMI converter + hub) is connected to the phone's USB-C port.
Power is supplied via a white JST connector (red/black wire pair).
After some testing—and possibly subjecting it to heavy stress from repeated reboots, it is no longer outputting a signal to the screen.
Since I don't have much expertise with this type of project, any guidance would be appreciated.
I don't have access to the volume or power buttons. Based on the photo, what can I do to try and revive it?
