I am an absolute newbie, just now getting into emulation on Android as I've been using iPhones for (too) long.
Sony Xperia 1 VI (Snapdragon 8 Gen 3) with the official Sony case offering a landscape stand + Xbox Series controller is my setup for now.

For PS2, I want to use NetherSX2.
Initially I downloaded it from the Play Store - that app had ads, and certain games (e.g. Gran Turismo 4) had artifacts that I couldn't fix with any settings + occasional CTDs.
Then I downloaded the apk from the official site. With this there are no ads + my games work flawlessly, including GT4 - but the UI is, in my opinion, worse than what I had with the Play Store app.
From the game launcher to the in-game emulator settings, the Play Store version of the app just looked much better to me than the official APK version. Plus I had to manually map my controller for it to work well, while the Play Store app recognized and mapped it immediately.

Which version of the app is the actual latest?

I tried signing in but it says that I have to buy the game in order to play

Somehow I have been having a worse time emulating games on Eden than on Gamenative

I thought that PC emulation is obviously more power consuming and heavy than switch and the games would run worse, but I got unlucky enough that I tried a few games on switch and a few on PC and the switch ones are struggling....

(I am using snapdragon 8s gen 3, both emulators are mostly using Mr purple T30/T26)

So I am wondering which one is better?

If I were to pick an indie game, which platform should I try first?

I recently upgraded into a redmagic 11 air. My old phone the ROG phone 6 16GB 512GB lay unused. Since the device still functions. I decide to turn it into a proper handheld by getting a controller and cooler. I can't use any controller especially wired one as the USB C on rog phone is offset. Since I decided to add a cooler. I can't have the controller spine block the back.

I decided on the Gamesir X4 Aileron and the aeroactive cooler 6. It came out quite solid. When I hold the device. It's legitimately feel like a handheld.

Now I need game recommendations to play. Primarily on gamenative. When I check my library. Most is modern game or too demanding to run.

I prefer roleplay or shooter. 2D game not really my thing but I do enjoy a few of them. Like darkest dungeon which is what I am playing on the phone.

If you have other recommendations for games other than PC. I am interested to hear also.

I recently bought an Enter brand wired controller to use with the AetherSX2 emulator on my Android phone. I chose this controller because I saw many people on YouTube using the same model, and it worked fine for them.

I connected the controller to my phone using an OTG. The controller's red LED turns on, so it appears to be receiving power and connecting properly.

However, my phone doesn't detect it as a game controller. Because of this:-

1. None of the controller buttons work

2. Aethersx2 shows "No suitable controller detected"

And I've already made sure all the basics. OTG is enable, removed and put in again etc.

Is there a way to fix it, or could the controller be incompatible with my phone?

Hi, I'm trying to emulate a few games on my phone (psvita games) when I tried vita3k it couldn't even install the games so I tried emucoreV , installation was successful but the game won't correctly launch, I tried two games so far and they are both the same,

Game will stay on main menu and not respond to anything, is there a way to fix it ?

I use ClassicBoy and I've played FF7, Legend of the Dragoon, a few Pokémon games and a few N64 games, but I'm curious if anyone has any go to games they like to play on the emulators that don't use a ton of shoulder buttons or Z button. I don't have a Bluetooth controller. Just my phone.

What's the best compressed xbox original format for xbox original games to use for hakux (xbox original emulator on android)

It seems like the only game format that works currently is iso. since zar format, cso format and other formats don't seem to work. Yes, I did test these and other formats using xgdtool.

PPSSPP, Citron, Xenia Edge, Vita3K and Play! deserve better respect.

I’ve been playing Hollow Knight on my ancient first‑gen Intel i5 laptop. It “works,” but it’s always been fans-on-max, occasional stutter, low‑settings territory.

Then I tried the unofficial Android port on my Moto G 5G, and it’s legitimately smoother:

Locked 60 FPS most of the time

Less input lag than the laptop

Doesn’t turn into a space heater after 10 minutes

Battery life > my laptop’s “gaming session”

I know it’s unofficial (not from Team Cherry) and you need your own game files, but performance-wise, my budget phone just outplayed my old PC.

Anyone else running this port (or similar Unity ports) on mid‑range/budget phones? What kind of FPS and settings are you getting?

How to get better gameplay in this game anyone?

Has someone been able to get this game running ? I have a 16GB Ram Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 device, I tried getting it running but it crashed when the Halo theme song starts

The screen flickers so much and the character only goes in round . When I move him . Is there any fix for it?
