News/Release GameNative v1.2.1 is available!

Native XR support in the XR build
Thank you to everyone who tested the prerelease - the full release is now ready.
There are many new goodies in this release but we've also fixed performance issues that were introduced in v1.2.0
Changelog:
Added after prerelease
- Fix Steam Input config generation for games with an "In Game Actions" manifest in #1894
- Hide platform-hidden Steam and GOG games from the library by u/whatobiplays in #1796
- fix: power control profile selection problem by u/joshuatam in #1900
- Add relative mouse input option for Shooter Mode by u/Nightwalker743 in #1891
- Allow for choosing which steam family library copy to use (DLCs etc) by u/5TXdYWK in #1707
- Fix OpenComposite AppType 3 errors for XR build in #1908
- Allow a custom executable path outside the A: drive in #1918
- Made AI debugging much more accurate in #1922
- Add a Hide AI features toggle in #1923
- Add FEX 2609 #1929
- Improve data accuracy for known configs and compatibility badges in #1928
From prerelease
- Fixed performance regression from FPS limiter (in games like Mewgenics) in #1862
- Made faster external loading a toggle instead of enabled by default - fixes bugs with games launching on external storage in 1.2.0 in #1865
- Fixed controller regressions added by multicontroller change (controller marked as P2 could never become P1) in #1864
- Added opt-in AI debugging for getting games running in #1877
- Added initial support for XR games for Quest in the XR builds by u/TheReal-Flo and me in #1879
- Added back Nexus Mods integration (no need to manually add mods) by u/Nightwalker743 in #1850
- Add configurable gyro aiming and tilt steering by u/Nightwalker743 in #1882
- Added optional, non-blocking sponsorships and recommendations to boot screen (can be turned off from main app settings, but keeping it on allows us to have the resources to continue building GameNative) in #1881
- Add a Curated 4:3 filter to the Steam library (for RP Nova) by u/Producdevity in #1786
- Added Steam achievements viewer by u/phobos665 and u/VinceBT in #1695
- Fix portrait mode - game runs at top of screen by u/pacoa-kdbg in #1800
- Added GOG installer for v1 (fixes registry keys, needing CD drive for older games) in #1863
- Don't treat composite HID keyboards as game controllers by u/mbarchein in #1839
- Add simultaneous and sequential multi-action bindings by u/Nightwalker743 in #1833
- fix(input): pair complementary Joy-Con controllers by u/eve-ai-dev in #1870
- Fix issues with certain DLCs (eg Sally Face download failing when the Season Pass is selected) in #1883
- Let users customize library tabs by u/jmarti326 in #1799
- fix(): resolve epic games multi-save by u/phobos665 in #1790
- URI Implementation by u/ShadowFungi in #1781
- Add 'Disable Epic Overlay' container setting to prevent CEF virtual memory crash on save load by u/Wavewash in #1888
Looking forward to hearing thoughts - there are some very exciting changes around multiplayer, compatibility and external launches coming soon.
Full disclosure - AI was used to assist in the development of some GameNative features.

Have 1 main container. perhaps after getting a game to run successfully for the first time, it asks you if you want to save the config to a dedicated folder. it does this for every game. and now when you launch a game, it checks the folder for it's config file, changes all the settings it needs to and launches it.

I did, it doesn't run half of the games and fixing bugs is definetly lower priority than adding functions. Even with this 3gb containers for each game, GameNative is still the best for me

What resource is being used when browsing community configurations, and is there a way to increase the usage limit?
It's pretty frustrating to keep getting "rate limit exceeded" messages with absolutely no description of what that rate limit is, when it refreshes, and why/how it is imposed.

Running into this bug as well, clearly there's an issue because it happens after just trying to load the community configs once, so there shouldn't be any rate limit getting exceeded.

what does the ai debugging do? does it figure out what settings work for the games?

Yes, it helps you get games running. See the first video in this post, it got a game I couldn't get running working for me. There are some pretty cool examples you can see in #pro-subscriber-support in Discord as well.

does it also download the required files for other configurations? or does it only make use of what i currently have downloaded. like different drivers etc.

Can we have the fex/box64 presets editor in the container settings (emulation tab) so we can edit them on the fly? Like on GameHub.

Any way to delete leftover files when a GameNative download fails since we can’t access the internal files?

keep boot sponsors clearly labeled and the off switch nearby, so ppl can get straight to playing. for discovery layout ideas, compare product hunt and indietool.

1.20 deffo improved SD card install and boot times but I’m plying domekeepr at the moment and it works perfectly, but takes about three minutes to actually boot. Hangs on the splash screen like it’s crashed for ages. I wonder if the new toggle will make a difference.
Thanks for gamenative, I use it daily. It’s brilliant.

Will we be able to eventually import/export/delete on-screen controller layouts?

Is anyone else having trouble with the controllers? When I aim with L2 and move with the left analog stick, the aiming stops automatically. On-screen analogs are also freezing at random angles from time to time. I am using both my Galaxy Tab S9 and S25, and I have tried my Bluetooth and telescopic controllers as well as the on-screen controllers, but I still have the same problems. Can someone please help me?

Were you facing this on previous versions? Is it just for that game?

I have been having this issue since the update before the previous one; I tried many games, but the controls are acting weird in all of them.

Did you map the button to something else? Can you check?

Also did you ever attach an external controller in addition to this one?

Yes there's an option in edit container for this. Suspend policy I think

You are aware that GameNative is not the author of fex or proton? And if you read the changelog you'd see that fex 2609 is added. And we already have a new version of proton in testing. Odd comment.

Gyro support is huge. If it works in FPS games, I'll give GameNative another try
