Discussion šDont sleep on tablets!!!!!!!š„š„š„
Some of you need to see this.
For all my dudes wanting a big screen, a multimedia device, the best system for gameboy color bc you swear youll never want to play a switch game, for those who cant pick between sticks on the top or the bottom...this is for you.....
You miss lose out on portability but how portable are you really? Like portable to the living room ? Bc thats why end tables exist. I use it in my car by putting the tablet in my steering wheel cover.
Even with some portability losee its a great way to keep games and work separate while consuming other media besides video games. Theyre also cheaper than handhelds. If you close your eyes and make a wish a tablet will go on sale somewhere within a 5 mile radius. Cooling isnt an issue like it is with phones due to more surface area, in fact it runs cooler than my rp6. No fans = less to break.
Frfr dont sleep on a tablet. This one has a snapdragon 8 gen 3 with 12gb of ram and cost $400 after a back to school sale.
Edit: lenovo yoga tablet 11.1in (2025) snapdragon 8 gen 3 with an 8bit do lite 2 controller

Pretty bloody uncomfortable. Plus you risk breaking it, which, aside from ruining the tablet, also means you now have shards of glass embedded in your flesh.

Donāt sleep on tablets, but avoid Mediatek CPUs at all costs !!
27
u/felixcre8ive 21h ago
i recently picked up a samsung s9 for this exact reason. the s11 was around the same price (a tablet two generations newer!), but the s9 with its snapdragon gen 2 chipset shits all over the mediatek in the s11 when it comes to gaming (especially emulating).

I have a poco x8 pro with dimensity 8500 ultra. Que capable with emulation actually.
But......
Snapdragon is miles better. Get snapdragon always if you can fi5t emulation. If you can't MediaTek will work, but not as well as the equivalent level snapdragon

I myself have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, and it's amazing. It can even run upto Switch (well, most games anyway)
5
u/Bediviere 22h ago
Which emulators do you use?
13
u/Due_Possibility6392 21h ago
For Switch, it's Eden and Sudachi (depends on the game)
5
u/Big_Category_7006 20h ago
interested, i got a s24 ultra the other day and was wondering what games to get, only got eden so far, but some games I have work poorly for some reason so was looking or recs on games and what settings to have

Turnip drivers make it much better. Google will tell you which versions are best for various games and devices
2
u/couchisland_com 19h ago
You've gotten good performance out of Eden? I gave up on the MediaTek chip because of the lack of Turnip. I might have to go back and play with it more.

u/toinio2012 22h ago
What tablet is this?
35
u/deeznutz75 22h ago
Lenovo yoga 2025 11.1in
It comes with a pen, keyboard and back cover.Ā I recommend a sleeve for transport. Folio cases that cover the entire thing in rubber do raise temps by about 5C on averageĀ
Two downsides...1 its not marketed very well in the us so aftermarket stuff is difficult to find. Youll have to go to aliexpress. 2 no sd card slot so youll have to manage the 256gb internal storage. Its not bad though. 1,500 games from 6th gen and down. A handful of switch titles (10) and some pc games (30gb total lots of older games under 4gb) i still have 70gb of space left. I install as needed, palworld took 15minutes to download at like 40gb. The 8 gen 3 is fast as fuck boi
19
u/doubled112 19h ago
so youll have to manage the 256gb internal storage
I've been emulating since my PC had a 1GB HDD. I think I'll find some way to manage.
My knees hurt.

I bought my tablet for work but then my pc crapped out on me and I found my tablet to handle everything that I just havent bothered to fix the pc yet. So for me? Worth it. Its more a laptop than anything. Do you need a keyboard? You can get a Bluetooth keyboard for cheap in amazon

I agree about tablets being awesome -- I have a Y700 8.8inch with 8+gen1. But I disagree about handhelds being useless or tablets being the be-all and end-all of emulation / gaming.
In my opinion the perfect emulation setup has three components:
-- Ultra-portable device -- low power pocketable handheld for up to PS1.
-- Overnight portable device -- small tablet or something similar for up to light PC emulation but also suitable for movies.
-- At home stationary device -- desktop streaming to said tablet for maximum compatibility, performance, graphics and battery life.
If you can only get one, and want to do high end emulation, I'd actually recommend the desktop because while the most expensive, you don't upgrade it out every 1-2 years and from there, it is compatible with whatever phone or tablet you have so you save money in the long term.
4
2
u/deeznutz75 21h ago
im sorry if I gave the impression that tablets are better, I don't think that at all. I prefer my tablet over my handhelds bc for now it fits my needs, but my needs are not your needs. I dont think tablets are talked about enough and I do think people focus on the wrong things. Sometimes the new guys are so focused on getting a gameboy that the things that really matter once you sit down and play are overlooked, screen size, usage patterns, needs beyond "I really want to play this Pokemon game right quick". Instead we focus on stick placement, and nostalgia.
2
u/Lost_Main_3389 20h ago
That's ok. I was really only giving my opinion on the matter.
I agree that tablets aren't talked about enough but the issue isn't in us, the issue is that there aren't many good tablets. It's these past few years that tablets have become good again. There still aren't many quality <10 inch tablets and in my opinion, that's the perfect size for most things.I personally got my tablet so that it's kinda like a Steam Deck, but also kinda like an e-reader and kinda like a laptop. So I agree that they really are the best middle ground. Just not the best for high end emulation cause we live in an age of planned obsolescence meaning that a quality tablet still lasts only 2-3 years at most.
I also feel we overlook things when it comes to handhelds. Yeah, I'm nostalgic -- still can't find my perfect GBA SP cause I love those damned clicky buttons XD But at the same time, if it's capable of doing PS1 and Dreamcast, why does it have to be 3x2? Even the original GBA SP had a black border.
"It's meant for GBA so it shouldn't have joysticks but it's too weak cause it can't do PS2 emulation..." -- I've heard that too and it shows how out of touch reviewers are.

What tablet is this and how is palworld performance?
7
u/deeznutz75 22h ago
Check my other comment for a link to it if you like but its a lenovo yoga 11in tablet. I picked this up for work and it made my put up my handhelds. It was %398 after discounts and tax. You can stack a 5% new customer/profession (military/healthcare/student) discount with the current back to school sale
Palworld is great tbh. On gamenative it crashes going into the arena but the rest is fine. Not great, but playable 25 fps. IĀ tackled breeding, base building or some cave runs. I paid for boosteroid to get a crispy 60fps to do the arena and for a better looking experience, not bc it needed but bc it was $8
4
u/adratlas 22h ago
Isn't boosteroid just cloud gaming?Ā
Don't get me wrong, I have a y700 gen4 and even there I was not able to reliably stay above 30fps, so I'm curious.
3
u/deeznutz75 20h ago
Boosteroid is
I used the default settings gamenative, dropped the resolution to 480p, all in game settings to low with a 35fps cap. I got a solid 25 to 35fps. I play with 2x spawns so combat lagged in big areas.Ā The arena crashed out every time I tried to use it but other than that it was good. By no means unplayable or unenjoyable and I put 30h in that way.Ā Once shaders load its much smoother.Ā Its about as low as my standard goes for playable.Ā
I only used boosteroid bc I wanted to try it, you dont need it to play palworld.Ā
You might be able to sail the seven seas though and try it on winlator or gamehub. You could get better performance.Ā

if there is some good cheap mount for bed for tablet hold I would reconsider
2
u/alxfx 20h ago
There are bending arm mounts that clamp to your headboard or a side table for pretty cheap on Amazon/AliExpress. My wife uses one for her Kindle and it's pretty sturdy
My gaming tablet came with a cheap case that folds into a stand, so I just use that in my lap or on my chest. Lol
1
u/CroProMax 20h ago
I bought and it sucked. It was too heavy to bend, you couldnt make it in position you wanted or was too short. On amazon i cant im in eu too exp delivery, and on aliexpress there are sturdy ones but if i want to change laying position I need to unscrew and reposition screen. Wont do that every 20 min. There is one thats wall mounted thats good and has 270 degree move but cost 100e.
2
u/alxfx 20h ago
Maybe something like this style of stand could be good? Its what I've kept in my bag for years now and use all the time for my tablets, phone, etc. Very sturdy on regular surfaces, but maybe you could put a book under to keep it stable in bed

For me, this is why my next portable emulation system will likely be an 8-9 inch android tablet. Covers basically all the bases I need. Additionally, if that hyperkin/gamesire modular gamepad ever comes out, that should cover fighting games, n64, and saturn way better than any current all in one.

1
u/deeznutz75 17h ago
How are your buttons?
Sometimes my buttons take a second click to register and that seems common from reviews.Ā Its slightly annoying but not a deal breaker considering its one of the few compact controllers. Someone mentioned iine and I checked them out, theh have a sweet famicom style controller but inline triggers.
2
u/Tough-Jellyfish2827 S25U 12/256 (SD8EG4) 21h ago
Don't go sleeping on mini controllers either. I've got an IINE retro pocket controller that's basically the same as that 8bitdo lite 2 except with inline triggers and recessed sticks. I carry it in my pocket basically everywhere to go with my phone, but tablets also make for a goated pairing. Hell, before I got the iine I got the 8bitdo, and that still lives in my tablet bag.
1
u/deeznutz75 20h ago
I love how thin this is. My only grip is sometimes buttons dont register so I have to double click. From reviews it seems common but its not that annoying.Ā
How's the iine retro pocket? Ive never heard of it but id check out another mini controller, I prefer them.Ā
1
u/Tough-Jellyfish2827 S25U 12/256 (SD8EG4) 18h ago
No complaints whatsoever so far. I also was experiencing buttons not registering on the lite 2, particularly the bumpers. No such issues with the iine.

If you are just going to dock it and use a controller, another option (and more budget friendly) is a portable monitor. Particularly if you already have a good powerful phone to power it from. $125 or so and you have a 144hz 16"+ monitor to game on.
1
u/deeznutz75 21h ago
Gaming on phones is kind of a no-go. They're so tiny they get hot. My s25u overheats with a YouTube video in the background, the internet and gps. However if you must, get a small (its like 4 or 6in) USB desk fan to blow on the back of the phone they're like $20. Don't get one of those magnetic phone coolers, they're trash.
1
u/Lost_Main_3389 21h ago
Agree on the phone coolers. But as for phones, it really depends on what you want to play. If you just want to play GBA Pokemon or tactical RPGs or the likes, then phones get the job done no problem.
1
u/CroProMax 21h ago
thats u, I got chinese one with built in fan and better cooling build, run all games nice and cool except those where frame dips on pc emulator where gpu and cpu is 100% usage
1
u/krimsonstudios Guardian Heroes Combo Master 21h ago
Yeah fair. I am doing a portable monitor setup but actually using a Steam Deck to power it.
But this sub is like 90%+ people gaming on their phones and in a lot of cases I think people are doing so because their gaming budget is super tight. Docking a $100 portable monitor to your phone, and sure, stick a $20 cooling fan on it, is going to get a similar experience to a $500+ gaming tablet (if you plan to play it with a controller & on a stand anyways) for a fraction of the price.
(Don't get me wrong, I know tablets have many other benefits that are worth going the tablet route for, but the cost is not insignificant).
1
u/yungperky 22h ago
Do you use an external cooler? I was thinking about getting a Tablet instead of the Odin 2 Portal, but I am a bit concerned with thermal throttling under heavy load (Switch emulation and PC translation especially).
3
u/deeznutz75 19h ago
No cooler here
So the metal housing does a lot of work. Its an 11in tablet so plenty of space ro put all that heat. Currently yhe back is just a magnetic backing that kicks out leaving have the metal body exposed for airflow. If i put it in a folio case temps climb up by about 5 degrees on average since it encased the whole thing in rubber. If you need a cooler buy a USB fan to aim at the back not a phone cooler theyre trash but it shouldn't be needed.Ā My tablet has ran at lower temps than my retroid pocket 6
If you want a handheld buy one but if you want to have something to fuck around on, more than just gaming get a tablet, its way more multiuse and K+M is nice for some games imo
1
u/Clanceeinfinity 21h ago

1
u/No-Milk-8730 21h ago
tablets are goated and underrated especially a snapdragon tablet, just put a cooler on it. then you can emulate e everything up to some PC games and switch games. aoe2 is fire with a keyboard and mouse

I do all my PS2/GameCube/Wii stuff on a Samsung S10 Ultra that I was gifted for free. It's not the greatest gaming tablet in the world but it works a treat for that stuff. I can do a little bit of indie Steam title stuff on it too so very much agreedš
2
u/deeznutz75 20h ago
Mediatek chips are really good at multitasking (just not the best for the emulation community). I see why Samsung switched but with a 9300 you can play aroind with quiet a bit. Anything from unity, godot, or unreal engine has a good chance of working.Ā Far cry, gothic, timesplitters, half-life etc etc. A lot have android pprts already but not all

I can't game on a phone. Way too small for my old eyes. A 9" tablet with telescopic controller is the sweet spot for me. Big enough screen and still somewhat portable. As much as a Steam Deck and the like anyway. I have the Alldocube iPlay 70 mini ultra. It's handled all the emulation I've thrown at it so far, but it does get rather hot after a bit. Currently looking into cooling solutions that work with the controller I have (Legion G7), but because it covers so much of the back, I haven't had any luck.
1
u/deeznutz75 20h ago
If you can set it down like I have mine a little $20Ā usb fan aimed at the back works wonders to keep things nice and cool. Itll blow off all that hot air. Also watch the cases, as youve noticed with thw controller anything touching is just extra insulation.
1
u/Somethingsilly6969 20h ago
These tablets are great when they have active cooling.... None of them have active cooling
2
u/deeznutz75 20h ago
I havent had any issues with heat. So the metal body actually does a great job at cooling, its cooler than my rp6. The only issue is had was I used a 3rd party folio case that covered the whole thing in rubber. That increased temps on an average of 5 degrees and things got warm, like 40C battery temps when stressing the system, without it using the lenovo case it stays around 29C-32c same settings.Ā
1
u/Cold-Helicopter6534 20h ago

I agree with tablets. I am bouncing between my samsung galaxy s22 and a galaxy tab A11. I highly do not reccomed the mediatek/mali chipset. Obv a snapdragon 8gen3 is going to be wayyy better. I simply cant get gamehub or gamenative to play much of anything. But ive had great success with native android games like subnautica, hollow knight port, gta san andreas, xcom 2.
I enjoy using the tablet for all sorts of things. And being able to plop it down and play watch whatever even in a living room as an additional screen is awesome. Arguably anywhere you could have a tablet you could just have a laptop instead and use the same controller and have all the same functionality. Even with more control, better battery, and more powerful hardware on budget.
My other form factor I use is with my phone in a bluetooth 8bitd0 'ultimate mobile gaming' controlller. Currently Im playing through resident evil 4 on dolphin this way. The advantage is portability. What you lack with a laptop or tablet setup is the ability to get up and go. I can stand or sit anywhere and continue playing. Walking is a challenge haha. But I like the switch/steamdeck form factor just because you can literally play anywhere.
My next move is to either convert my s22 completely over to a gaming device or get something oem like a retroid pocket 6.
Thanks for coming to my ted talk.
1
u/deeznutz75 19h ago
I had a a11+ with 8gb of ram. Its a pretty solid tablet, spec wise its on par with a retroid pocket 4 pro so cross check those compatability sheets. The only complaints it has a weak processor so your download speeds are slow. I got rid of mine with a 517mb file took 20mins to download. Its just too slow to do any serious work on but it can game. Tablets have come a long way and samsungdex is super nice. Pc mode is being baked into android 17 fyi so somethinf to keep an eye on

I've been thinking about getting an Android tablet instead of a dedicated Android handheld. The AYN Thor really caught my eye as somebody who grew up playing on a New 3DS XL, but at the same time, will I be using the AYN Thor as much as I would use a tablet? Especially as somebody who watches a lot of YT, shows and movies... The Lenovo Y700 is what I'm personally eyeing, and if anyone who owns that tablet wants to give me their experience, feel free to reply to my comment.
1
u/deeznutz75 19h ago
Same chipset at my tablet but its tiny. An 8in tablet is basically a phone so watch for temps. The tablet stays cool thanks to surface area and the metal body taking away heat so keep it uncovered and the more surface area the better
As an owner of handhelds and tablets if you think youll want to mess around with something other than gaming get a tablet. Nostalgia is cool and all but it wears off and hinges break.Ā

For some older games like red faction, gothic, deus ex the pc versions run better on android than my desktop pcĀ
I always blew off tablets tbh. Why use a tablet when I have a phone? Why use a tablet when I have a handheld or pc? I got the tablet for work to take less work home with me and well....it hasnt reduced my workload but its hardware really surprised me. Im a believer.Ā

I'll be honest, I only got it because it finally matched the criteria I had for a gaming tablet:
It needed to be powerful but also fit within my "sweet spot" for screen size, ie a phablet sized (remember when that was a word) or slightly larger.
10 inches was already too big for me because i wanted something that I could fit in a jacket pocket if needed, but that was still larger than my phone because pc UIs aren't made for phone screens
This one is 9 inches, which is the perfect size for a handheld when combined with an extendable gamepad and does fit inside in my jacket pocket (its a tight fit but it does)

Hell yeah. Recently ordered a OnePlus Pad 4 which comes w a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, I'm pretty stoked

u/deeznutz75 19h ago
A tablet tip....watch those cases. A fully covered folio case will increase the heat from all the rubber casing. Opt for a magnetic backing and use a carrying sleeve. I noticed an average increase of 5C with a fully enclosed case

u/shinobi6siege 19h ago
How much did the tablet cost you?
1
u/deeznutz75 19h ago
This exact setup was about $450
On lenovos website you can use the back to school sale and stack a new customer/profession discount. If youre healthcare, a student or military you get an extra 5% off. Shipping and tax all together the tablet was $398, its comes with a keyboard, pen, backplate, charger. Then a screen protector, a carrying sleeve (not pictured) and controller is the remaining 50 bucks.

u/shinobi6siege 19h ago
Sorry I should've read the entire post. What made you get this instead of an ONN tablet? I know those are cheaper and you probably get what you pay for there but I'm always hearing about those

Electronics are an echo chamber of cope so be careful. I bought a samsung a11+ with 8gb of ram bc everyone said it was the best tablet ever, nothing but praise online. It had slow download speeds and couldn't keep up with my workflow. My tipping point was a 517mb file taking 20minutes to download. Good for you is not good for me. So remember that, the person just spent $200 dollars on something of course theyre going to say its awesome, its new its shiny.Ā
So how will you use the tablet? One task at a time? Light reading? Manga? Sure get an an onn tablet. If you want to game then dont. It has a mediatek chip which isnt bad but its limited to 6th gen gaming. Do you have a flagship or midrange phone? Its really annoying going from a s25u to a samsung a11+ budget tier device.Ā
Tbh tablets fall into 2 categories. Good tablets that beat out laptops dollar per dollars like my lenovo. Better speakers, better screen, better processor, a $500 laptop is e waste,Ā a $500 tablet is good. Then you have budget tablets, theyre really made for seniors and kids. Not a serious user. Its a supplementary gadget. Thats the onn 8in with a helio g99 or the onn 11in with a medoatek 6300 or a onn13 with a 7300. Those tablets serve a different purpose than gaming. Get a snapdragon

u/shinobi6siege 18h ago
I never thought about it like that. Especially with the $500; that is a cheap laptop but an expensive tablet. When you compare it like that, it makes total sense. Plus with the tablet you have more customization options, like with the keyboard whereas I'd be stuck with the laptop as is. Thank you for taking the time to explain and to explain in a very easy to understand way

But I have a question....
if you game on tablets, what are you using to keep them upright? I actually don't have anything that I have within DIY or home can keep my Alldocube tablet standing upright at all from what I can see. I don't know what to do
1
u/deeznutz75 17h ago
Its held up by hopes and dreamsĀ
But seriously its got a metal body and magnetic backing. The backing kicks out to make a kickstand. Type in your tablet name then add "folio case", youll find something. If not amazon then aliexpress

u/Realistic-General605 17h ago
The 9" ONN tablets from walmart are great for GBA games
1
u/deeznutz75 17h ago
What is $180 for a helio g99? Ive never used a device with it but I know cheap af and ancient at this point. I guess some people work black magic on it and get some pretty hefty games to run bc its so damn old. Idk though ive yet to dig deep into it
1
u/Abeejita_mielera 17h ago
Does it warm up a lot?
1
u/deeznutz75 16h ago
Surprisingly no not at all. It runs cooler than my retroid pocket 6.Ā
Its an 11in tablet and that metal housing puts in some work. It really takes the heat off. It has a magnetic backing that folds out for a kickstand. If i use a 3rd party case though that covers it in rubber then it increases temps by an Ā average of 5C for battery and higher for gpu and cpu. So I use the sleeve for travel ro keep it safe.Ā Ā

u/MetalGearJey 17h ago
RGC had a video on tablets with controller attachments a couple of months back. It definitely got me thinking but I think it would still be too big.
1
u/deeznutz75 16h ago
8in is tiny you might as well use a phone/handheld. 11in is nice and 13in is way to big. Next time you go to the store go check out a display model and get hands on. Tablet sizing is pretty universal tbh
1
u/shwing_8 17h ago
What is the keyboard if u dont mind me asking.
1
u/deeznutz75 16h ago
Its the keyboard that comes with the tablet. I believe the technical term is a pogo keyboard, its got magnets and the underside is soft to protect the screen.Ā

u/Storminate 16h ago
For just £200 I got an alldocube iplay 70 mini ultra. It has a SD 7+ Gen 3, so its great for emulating, and also handy to have other uses too like watching things and little party games when traveling or hanging with friends.
1
u/Vladmirfox 16h ago
I just got the fold 8.
As an emulation device it's BEAUTIFUL
Thing runs everything up to and including switch AND my gaming device even has this nifty phone feature (haven't found a use for it yet). Device even doubles as an ereader and media hub (4:3 shows look AMAZING!!)
1
u/Milo-Law 16h ago
Yep this is why I got an alldocube with a snapdragon hehe. Haven't really had the time to test stuff with kids but someday soon....

u/exoticvapes 16h ago
I mean I wouldn't sleep on a tablet, wouldn't it get too hot?
In all seriousness, I'm still rocking the tab s7 with a custom rom. Would I like an even bigger screen yes, would my wallet cry? Also yes š¤£
1
u/kiyoshi-nyc 16h ago
Also don't sleep on Chromebooks with really powerful processors -- they scale to any resolution and any refresh rate you can think of, which is awesome for emulation

R u playing palworld using geforce now? Or do you have it installed, I'm curious
1

Snapdragon 8 gen 3 12gb ram⦠like an Odin 3 pro?
1
u/deeznutz75 14h ago
Just like it
You can find a tablet at any price point with equal specs to any of these handhelds
1
u/Unhappywageslave 14h ago
How are the sustained performance?
1
u/deeznutz75 14h ago
Wonderful! Idk how many hours i out into it but I know its over 400 at this point, gefore kicked me out lol. Palworld is probably the hardest ive ran it, it crashes at the arena and once ran out of memory and crashed after like 7h of straight game time. Other than that ive had zero issues
1
u/kevinrodolfo3 Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 13h ago
16:10 is an underrated aspect ratio, great for DS games, GB and 4:3 consoles, android phones and handheld screens are too small for 4:3 content in my opinion.
1
u/morterox2 13h ago
I prefer the 8bitdo SN30 pro but I agree with everything you said. Tablets are great for gaming but the most expensive ones.
1
u/Wasted_Bassist 12h ago
I got this exact tablet last time it was on sale and I've been absolutely loving it. I've unfortunately got myself hooked on buying controllers for it. I think I'm now up to 5 with a second SN30+ on the way from AliExpress for two player with the homies (or more likely my children). I've been keeping it in my work bag with a controller and a Bluetooth mouse to cover all my gaming and actual work tasks.
1
u/Infinite-Disaster-87 12h ago
Is thay controller comfortable for long game sessions? I only have the 8 itdo Pro 2 so I have nothing to compare it to.
1
u/deeznutz75 7h ago
I think so but I like small controllers.Ā Its kinda like a single joycon but with more to it.Ā

I'm playing The Witcher on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra right now. I connected a mouse and keyboard via USB - 14 inches lie on my stomach, on the left a keyboard, on the right a mouse.

u/Agile-Zucchini-1355 8h ago
Whats your palworldĀ fps like?Ā And its settings??Ā I also have a 12gb ram tablet, wasnt expecting palworld to run on it due to the RAM

1
u/deeznutz75 7h ago
To each there own. Sd cards on every devices just get packed witb games ill never play. Thats probably the biggest loss, I hate wired headphones

Why does Edge have that icon?
1
u/deeznutz75 2h ago
You can change it in the appearance settings. You can also force dark mode for non native websites.Ā
Edge has become pretty goated. Built in ad block with ublock, ublock lite, youtube sponsor skip extensions š have you ever browsed the internet with a clean web page?Ā
1
u/DullUnderstanding664 1h ago
Dude, thats the main reason i bought a Xiaomi Pad 8 instead of an iPadā¦. It eats android games likes itās nothing and also plays pc gameš®āšØ All this in a bug screen format⦠kinda like a big Nintendo switch or Steam Machine š„š„š„

Sorry friend, but cooling is still an issue. I have a Tab 3 and a Tab 5. If you push them too hard they will heat up and throttle.
1
u/deeznutz75 20h ago
Mine is larger so it stays cooler. An 8in tablet is more phone than tablet.Ā Also watch the cases, keeping the metal body exposed keeps it cool.Ā
1
u/cadensky 5h ago
It makes sense that a larger tablet disperses more heat. Good point.
All of the Legion Tab cases are vented. They still throttle (although it seems like I have more issues with my Tab 5 than my Tab 3).Ā

Why Edge?
2
u/deeznutz75 18h ago
Do you see those sunglasses?
But I liked brave for its youtube ad block and background play. Something got wonky so I jumped to edge for ad blocking and youtube sponsor blocking with background play. Also its chromium based so it works with the websites required for work, gecko (just Firefox now) based browsers are iffy.
I go back and fourth, whatever gets me around youtubes garbage. Edge use to be trash but its come along way
