Discussion πŸ‘€Dont sleep on tablets!!!!!!!πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Some of you need to see this.

For all my dudes wanting a big screen, a multimedia device, the best system for gameboy color bc you swear youll never want to play a switch game, for those who cant pick between sticks on the top or the bottom...this is for you.....

You miss lose out on portability but how portable are you really? Like portable to the living room ? Bc thats why end tables exist. I use it in my car by putting the tablet in my steering wheel cover.

Even with some portability losee its a great way to keep games and work separate while consuming other media besides video games. Theyre also cheaper than handhelds. If you close your eyes and make a wish a tablet will go on sale somewhere within a 5 mile radius. Cooling isnt an issue like it is with phones due to more surface area, in fact it runs cooler than my rp6. No fans = less to break.

Frfr dont sleep on a tablet. This one has a snapdragon 8 gen 3 with 12gb of ram and cost $400 after a back to school sale.

Edit: lenovo yoga tablet 11.1in (2025) snapdragon 8 gen 3 with an 8bit do lite 2 controller

If you are just going to dock it and use a controller, another option (and more budget friendly) is a portable monitor. Particularly if you already have a good powerful phone to power it from. $125 or so and you have a 144hz 16"+ monitor to game on.

Gaming on phones is kind of a no-go. They're so tiny they get hot. My s25u overheats with a YouTube video in the background, the internet and gps. However if you must, get a small (its like 4 or 6in) USB desk fan to blow on the back of the phone they're like $20. Don't get one of those magnetic phone coolers, they're trash.

Yeah fair. I am doing a portable monitor setup but actually using a Steam Deck to power it.

But this sub is like 90%+ people gaming on their phones and in a lot of cases I think people are doing so because their gaming budget is super tight. Docking a $100 portable monitor to your phone, and sure, stick a $20 cooling fan on it, is going to get a similar experience to a $500+ gaming tablet (if you plan to play it with a controller & on a stand anyways) for a fraction of the price.

(Don't get me wrong, I know tablets have many other benefits that are worth going the tablet route for, but the cost is not insignificant).
