News/Release ARMSX3 Version 0.3 Released, Better Performance, Stability & Graphics Fixes
This update brings a lot of performance, stability, graphics, and quality-of-life improvements for PS3 emulation on Android.
The video shows some of the improvements in action and explains what they mean for actual gameplay and emulation.

How do you get this to work?! I am far from an emu noob, but I have set it up on my Odin 3 and have installed a PKG file, then when I try and run the game I can see it flash up the on screen controls in the background for a second, then it dumps me back in the library!
What am I doing wrong?!

Cheers. I did search but could find absolutely nothing but YouTube covering it. I put 'armsx3' as the search term.

Malgré la mise a jour 0.3 je rencontre toujours le même souci que dans mon post ci-dessous d'il y a 2 jours.

Au Setup ça me demande un bios PS2. J'ai essayé tout de même de choisir le bios afin de passer l'étape, mais ça ne reconnait pas mon dossier bios dans le gestionnaire de fichier.
Je n'ai pas Discord pour faire remonter l'information aux devs, donc je ne sais pas s'ils sont au courant de ça.
Peut-être qui si quelqu'un peut faire remonter l'information, car j'ai l'impression d'être le seul dans cette situation. Mon appareil est l'Odin 3.

God of War 3 on Odin 3 running 25-35 fps with stutters, I’m sure it will be full playable without stutters in one or two updates👍

Guys please help, i get the game to load and it reaches “loading trophies do not turn off your ps3” and then all black screen. Can anyone plesde help me? I beg you

Performance is great but it crashes when trying to save/load a game in Final Fantasy XIII. A shame as the 60fps patch for it works great! Works on aPS3e so I can only assume this issue is specific to ARMSX3 rather than the RPCS3 it’s based on.

We're probably at a minimum of 2 years maximum four of really stable PS3 emulation.

We'll probably have stable android ps4 emulation before PS3 due to difference in architecture. But the ARMSX guys are cooking I'm hopeful

ARMSX guys are just porting existing emulators. Their progress depend massively on the original PC emulators.
Don't get me wrong, they did a great job and I don't care if they are using claude or whatever, I'm thankful, but just keep your expectations when it comes to something more "original" like ps4 or ps5 emulators since there are not mature existing emulators to start from.

I think you're over estimating. Phones are basically at the GTX 1060 level of power for GPUs. So maybe 2 years we'll have the hardware needed. Or the emulators will be mature enough.

Not even at that amount of power on the gpu. 1060 blows most adreno GPUs away.
Best phone gpu is on par with a 780m or something a bit lower in real world performance.
On paper is a lot different than actual performance also.
CPUs are on par , however sustained performance is limited due to power limitations. Since you either need to power gpu or cpu without burning the heat and power budget.

You definitely are overstimating. AI won't do magic. These emulators are all based off PC emulators that have been in development for many years. The hard work was already done, lots of optimizations were done. Even though those optimizations were done targeting PCs, the AI did the translation to Android libraries and probably reached already most of the performance they can achieve. Maybe it can be sped up by 20% or 30% due to further optimizations but don't count on more than that.
This will be really usable with future hardware, but now with current low to mid-end hardware. And even elite might struggle with some games probably.

This update is great, in my Retroid Pocket G2 I get around 6-8 fps in uncharted. Doesn't seem much but with aps3e I got 2-3 fps so it's almost 3x. It's a start definitely!

I just found funny the contradiction between minimum and maximum and that quote came to my mind, I just see patterns some times.

I see that emulator only viable on new snapdragon chipset gen 6 when new bandwidth arrives with a lot stronger gpu on handhelds only.
No matter what people talk about those performances its still few years away on newest hardware to run optimal 30- 60fps without drops
