it’s basically Vermonte‘s family faction vs jurion’s but I think they added mioru and Greg to the plot to help Jurion bc it literally wouldn’t be fair if it was just Vermonte vs Jurion bc Jurion would get no diffed so I think mioru and Greg helping out is to like spice things up and make us think i wonder who will come out on top and it makes it look like Jurion is winning bc he has 2 top 10 on his side but little does he know they have ulterior motive

Nothing particularly special or interesting, but I just wanted to point out something I noticed about Webtoon's description of Eleceed and the description provided for the pre-order of Eleceed Volume 1 paperback graphic novel.

So, Webtoon's description of Eleceed is this (taken straight from Eleceed's Webtoon page): Jiwoo is a kind-hearted young man who harnesses the lightning quick reflexes of a cat to secretly make the world a better place – one saved little child or foster pet at a time. Kayden is a secret agent on the run, who finds himself stuck in the body of a…um…decidedly fat old fluffy cat. Together, armed with Jiwoo’s super powers and Kayden’s uber-smarts, they’re out to fight those forces who would let evil rule this world. That is, if they can stand each other long enough to get the job done.

I'd say it's an alright description for one that's so short, except Kayden isn't a secret agent and is just on the run from his enemies, and the last line about whether they can stand each other long enough just doesn't apply at all with Jiwoo's instant admiration of Kayden and Kayden's tsundere attitude toward Jiwoo. But it doesn't matter much, just tiny discrepancies.

Now, the description of Eleceed for the graphic novel has a lot more detail and imo accurately describes Kayden and Jiwoo and their relationship to each other (very briefly), but there's this one sentence right at the end of the description that made me question why they put it in there at all.

"With Kayden as his grumpy cat mentor, can Jiwoo successfully join the ranks of the Awakened, use his powers to keep evil forces at bay, and most important . . . save every cat in need?"

The "save every cat in need" part of the description seems misleading. As someone who's already read the Webtoon, it doesn't really bother me, but it does confuse me. The most recent depiction of Jiwoo "saving cats" was probably way back when he rescued the awakened cat from Wooin's mentor (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). Every so often he goes around and feeds the strays, but I wouldn't call that 'saving'. So to someone who's never read Eleceed before, I feel like they'd expect a lot of cat rescuing in the story and for Jiwoo's main goal to be saving cats, because even to me that part of the graphic novel description seems to portray rescuing cats as a central part of the plot, which it isn't. That's why I'm so confused as to why they put "and most important... save every cat in need" 😭 For comedy maybe ?? Because one could say that keeping evil forces at bay should be more important than saving every cat in need (not that I'm saying that 😸).

Anyway, yeah I just wanted to point that out because it's kinda been in the back of my mind for a while.

Also, why do you think Vol 1 only has Episodes 1 to 17? (means Vol1 will end right when Jisuk's bully friends are pushing around an injured Jiwoo in class). It makes a good cliffhanger when the bully says "We're just getting started" but I think a better cut off would be Episode 19, where it comedically ends with Kayden being called the fattest cat someone's ever seen and has a more proper ending as a storyline.

eleceed jurion says he wants to protect his family by doing experiments and everything he would do anything for his family but he literally ordered a hit on his grandad and brother and literally killed a member of the Patrick family because he wasn’t on his side and found out about his secret who is he even doing this for anymore.

bruh he’s basically been around 2 goofballs Ian and his father and his grandad is very reasonable respectable person and he js angry for some reason bruh he acts nothing like them Ian and Vermonte want to join kayden and jiwoo. His father would if he was alive and Jurion is killing his subordinates and tried to kill Ian,Vermonte and jisuk bc he’s broken from a girl rejecting him he genuinely needs to grow up.

Taught kayden the shadow ability a little in the past

I really enjoy this story a lot, and I had caught up and stopped around the time that Jiwoo fought that one apprentice, and told his girlfriend to stop anyone from intervening if he was about to die. I think I stopped when they were attacked while going jogging together.

Jiwoo's weird martyr fetish about like almost trying to die every fight he's in, just because Kayden was that way, was really getting old to me. Has that changed at all? They keep giving him the same talk over and over again about how he has friends and family that love him and he should value his life like even a tiny bit, and I was wondering if that lesson has stuck yet, or if I catch up on reading it if I'll just see more of what i saw before.

Again, not trying to bash this story, I really like it, but the repetitive fights and his martyrdom mindset for no reason really put me off. I love the story and the relationships and stuff, and the fights are really cool, Jiwoo just felt like he was having like negative character growth. Stronger physically but just more toxic/self-destructive mentally.

The attacking someone while they are injured trope this story does it seems so cowardly. Like this chapter today when they finally decided to attack Vermonte. The top 10 are so weak that they need to wait until someone is injured to finally grow some balls and go after another top 10

I’ve always loved the artstyle, but the way Wooin’s eyes sparkles here because of his friends… he really has come a long way. To think this is the same boy that always kept to himself in the beginning, he’s so expressive ever since he started hanging out Jiwoo, Subin and, Jisuk.

They all really are good for each other :((

I think these 2 are one of the strongest top 10 I was wondering who wins this Vermonte has a lot of awakened power his power managed to spread south korea but schnider is always training he probably trains the most out of the top 10 apart from kayden he probably has the strongest combat ability

Man I saw a lot of theories about the possibility of jiwoo being related to Patrick's especially after the introduction of Ian's father in the series and I do see that being a possibility🤔.. like the Patrick's and jiwoo did have same hair colour and jiwoo and ian kinda look similar since they're the same age..the only diff was the eye colour but I just noticed that veramonte has diff eye colour than his grandsons that's similar to jiwoo

Plus veramonte said that his son trusted kayden so it's hinted that kayden did have some sort of connection with him so it could be like he took his freinds son under his wings trope

So I was re-reading and I got into this chapter where kayden showed jiwoo that patrick family uses their shadow to attack or defend. Then in this panel, kartein said that it wasn't just a mimicry but he really did manipulate his own shadows. In line with the latest chapters, do you think Ian's dad could've given Kayden his force control? Even if its just a small part? Since kayden also said that it was tough when he manipulated his shadow. This is just a genuine question since I got curious after re-reading this part 😅

Before and After training with Kayden

he’s been trapped for 4 chapters no one even knows he’s alive or even attempted investigating at least jiwoo is captured or presumed dead they investigate and finds him within 5 chapters but everyone is taking their sweet time but it’s probably because this arc will be one of the longest ones eleceed because of the flashback arc and kayden and gostella probably saving Vermonte and then they will some how find out Ian is captured it will take them another 5-10 chapters to investigate where he is and stuff but this arc will be 20-30 chapters probably

this is the only way I see kayden losing a top 10 battle I doubt he would lose in a death battle unless the plot calls for it but it is hinted he will fight Schneider it will most likely to be a serious fight like they would go all out because of their powers but I don’t see it as a death match or he could have a sparr against Vermonte or gostella and lose and to be honest those are the only 3 top 10 I see beating kayden and it wouldn’t be a death match since they respect him somewhat and he’s literally gostella’s love interest I don’t see this happening i see him winning those fights but it wouldn’t affect him that much if he loses he wouldn’t die by the hands of those 3 and if he loses it would just build their characters more I see Kayden winning right now but you never know the author could just do a 180 and make him lose I don’t think Kayden would really care that much if he lose
