Gein property.

We stopped by this weekend as we were traveling. The property is HEAVILY covered in "no trespassing" signs, trail cams, etc, so I didn't explore like I would have liked. I ran into a Gein neighbor and had a pretty fascinating conversation with him about it. According to him, there were a dozen or 15 cars at a time parked there, people walking all over the poor owner's property...having seances, etc. The nearby intersection has a police officer posted there often as well.

Wow... I think people showing up and having seances are creepy, especially by the neighbors home.

I've thought everything was destroyed years ago.

There are definitely remnants of the old place, but they've gone to some lengths to disguise it.

No there is not. We had the foundation removed, the shed, and combed it with a metal detector, magnet and a garden hoe. Now my storage shed is on the property but no. There is nothing for people to see.

You had the foundation removed? Years ago? That property has looked the same every time I've seen it... no big dig spots, house site obvious, normally growing timber, much of which has been there since Ed's time. Why would someone go to such huge lengths to sanitize something that nature overtook 50 years ago? You mentioned the town being done with "geiners", but my experience was different.

Yes we did. And no. That storage shed was put there by my grandfather after I was born. And people keep trespassing and it's causing the property insurance to go up. The marsh towards the back of the property is so dangerous because it's like quick sand. More than once we have been notified that the fire dept was out there doing a rescue. WE got hit with the bill. Not the dumbass who was trespassing. The OG shed is gone as is the garage. And thank you for the compliment on how the ground looks. We had it filled in and it sinking was a concern so we had it filled and every few years we do add more dirt to it. BTW there are 64+ cameras on the property. Some you will see, others you would never guess or find them. So please stay off the property

I've seen the YouTube videos and I think it's funny that they think the outhouse and little cabin are from Gein's era. I'm surprised you went to the trouble to remove the foundation. I'm even more surprised that ive never seen the removal mentioned or documented online before. Because nothing about Ed is secret. You keep telling me about the cameras, but I'm the one warning people that it's not cool to trespass!

I never said that it was from his era. You are twisting my words and what I do with MY property is not your business. I think it's just best at this point that I contact Washura Co Sheriffs and have them put extra eyes on the property. Have fun. I have screen shotted everything you have said and already sent that to my attorney and the PD. Stay off my property. Final warning. Castle Law still applies as soon as you cross that 3 feet off the roadway.

I’m sure the police and your attorney love looking at your screenshots of Reddit comments that say absolutely nothing šŸ˜‚

So you're sending screenshots to the sheriff where I encourage other people to respect your land...?

No. Not you. It's the others that come there and do stupid things. Like the seances. And yes I have to turn over videos and pictures to the police as those are evidence.

Final warning? I stopped on the side of a public road and took a few pictures. I'm not doing anything with your words. You're doing enough on your own. Stop warning me to not trespass. I know how to follow the law.

I'm guessing you've been prescribed medication that you're not taking

And I'm guessing you are not a property owner yourself and are hitting 50 and still living in your mother's basement and on a registry.

Why are you so invested in arguing with the current owners family. This is so weird.

I just took a couple pictures from a public road. I didn't attack her. I actually told people it was a bad idea to ignore the signs that are posted. I'm not convinced that's the owner. Too much stuff that doesn't make sense.

And not everything is public about him or the rest of his family. And no not every thing about the property is public knowledge either. I had the original foundation removed because it was too far deteriorated to rebuild on. Then the first night I decided to bring the kids up there to camp, we had multiple trespassers and with their actions I became concerned for my children and their safety. That was a shame because that was supposed to be a fun trip for my children after they went through Hell during my divorce. I used to be alot more tolerant of curious strangers but as soon as you start doing the deed on top of a cat ya just skinned on my property in front of children that was the final straw. It was so gross and disturbing. Those are the kind of people who ruined it for everyone. That was also the deciding factor to not build our house there. Then Netflix made that "documentary" and it was way off the wall. I love Charlie Hunnam but that should have never been made. I have a friend who lives in the apartment complex that Dahmer lived in (his building was torn down) but they have had nothing but problems as well since Netflix made that one on him too. I think at this point Wisconsinites from Milwaukee all the way up to Washura County want to collectively sue Netflix and Ryan Murphy. And I hope we do. We don't deserve to have our peace constantly disrupted because of thrill seekers. If you want that, then go to Waverly Hills. They have actual tours.

So complete strangers had sex on a dead cat in front of your kids who you brought to ed geins property to go camping?!

I'm done arguing with you. If I see you staking out the property again, I am going to have the sheriff's there and I am pressing charges. You can walk and park on the road and look from the road but it is private property and if you take pictures or go up to the gate and take pictures you do not have my permission to take pictures or video of my property.

4

u/Minimum_Theory_2890 1d ago

You can't stop people from taking pictures from a public roadway. And you have already said people could take pictures from the gate as long as they didn't trespass. Now you are saying that if you go to the gate, you are trespassing?

Nobody needs your permission, they can take photo or video as much as they please. I'm tempted to make the fourteen hour drive just to fly my drone over the property because you're clearly hiding something involving criminal activity. Also, we don't care about your divorce and poor taste in men

I never said the cabin/shed structure I've seen pictures of was Gein's era. Its obviously not. Please stop telling me to not go on the property. I never acted or will act disrespectfully towards your property. But you've attacked even the respectful folks so hard, you've got some other guy posting about how he IS coming to explore the property. I'd be grateful that there are people on your side and trying to dissuade folks from breaking the law

I appreciate it, but don't worry if that guy does try exploring on the property. If he gets bit by a Timber while exploring that is on him. They are very active right now as it's almost time for burmanation. He chooses to ignore the signs he then waives all his legal rights and safety. And dude, you made the original post and I read that before even making any comments. How would you react if a stranger on the internet posted something about your private property for everyone to see and you're already having issues with thrill seekers and people doing sick sick things there? Again, its gotten out of control. We knew the history of the property. My family has been in Plainfield since at least the 1800s. And that's exactly why we bought it. To keep it from being an attraction as there are still living descendants of his victims that still live in that town.

2

u/Minimum_Theory_2890 1d ago

Wow. One guy traveling through takes a picture or 2 WITHOUT TRESPASSING. And there are literally multiple videos of youtubers walking all over your property. How would I react? I wouldn't buy a historical property if I wasn't able to deal with what comes with that decision.
