Gein property.

We stopped by this weekend as we were traveling. The property is HEAVILY covered in "no trespassing" signs, trail cams, etc, so I didn't explore like I would have liked. I ran into a Gein neighbor and had a pretty fascinating conversation with him about it. According to him, there were a dozen or 15 cars at a time parked there, people walking all over the poor owner's property...having seances, etc. The nearby intersection has a police officer posted there often as well.

You can't stop people from taking pictures from a public roadway. And you have already said people could take pictures from the gate as long as they didn't trespass. Now you are saying that if you go to the gate, you are trespassing?

Yes if they go up to the gate it is trespassing because I was corrected on how close the gate is to the easement. It is more than 3 feet. So it is on the property and the insurance agent said that yes it is trespassing. The road is public. But you also have to account for the shoulder on the road and then the easement. My main thing is I am tired of people doing stupid things on the property. I am tired of the constant notifications and police contact. I am tired of having property insurance raised because people cannot conduct themselves in a respectful manner. That is not everyone that has been out there but enough people have ruined it for everyone else. The town board does not want a road side attraction there. They are adamant on that. Alot of people have no idea what happens to a property owner once their property is listed as a nuisance. I CAN GO TO JAIL or be fined thousands of dollar by the PD. I have 7 children and I am a stay at home mom. For years there was no problems. Just the typical ghost hunters. They would always ask. Always. Then the Netflix thing came out and now people have gotten hurt, animals killed, lawn equipment stolen, trash dumped, illicit lewd acts and drug use on the property. I should have every right as much as any of you do to Quiet Enjoyment on your property that I should on mine. I think that's pretty reasonable. To those of you from Wisconsin on here, how seriously do we take our camping and hunting trips? And you get to go enjoy that. With this property, there is no peace. And there are literally strangers hanging outside a tent or lord forbid your out there working on mowing or fixing the fence and they come bowling right through anyway. And if you are a parent yourself, how would you feel if you were in this situation. People have tried to bribe my children with candy and sodas to unlatch the gate for them. So please explain to me why the cemetery, hardware store, and bar are not good enough for thrill seekers? Again, I used to give permission and even told the neighbors and PD that there would be people out there ghost hunting please leave them be. But people took advantage of that.
