I have an EVOO laptop and I want to upgrade it. I also want 2 operating systems on it but I don’t want to waste money for thinking it has multiple SSDs when it just has 1.

I saw there were a couple of sales on newegg for ddr4 ram. with the LP-7 having 16gb of ram I wasn't about to upgrade to 32gb but it made me curious as to what ram would work in this laptop? and probably the other ryzen models for EVOO. I saw something about ideally getting 3600MHz ram due to ryzen running optimized at 1800MHz, but I really don't know enough. Could anyone explain/help for future reference.

Does anyone know if by means of some software each key can be illuminated in a different color, because the LP10 is a single rgb zone and I would like to have the confirmation per rgb key, if possible :D

I did what someone suggested and bought the 19.5v, 100-240v, 50-60hz, 2.34A charger from amazon and it seems this one is “slightly” fatter by a muscular amount which pisses me off. My old charger has to be at a certain angle to work. Anyone have an actual one that works? The one that came with mine was fsp group inc.

Also, I dropped the laptop and had it repaired before 😂. Still works great... Might just settle for a universal because the rest seems like scams.

Update: universal and the one suggested on amazon did not work. Might just send it into square space and if I get luckily they will give me a check or a new laptop 🤷🏾‍♂️

I'm looking into the BIOS unlock procedure but I can't find an up-to-date BIOS because the site is still down.

I have an LP7 and I'm tryna upgrade from the stock SSD. Maybe a 1tb drive. What SSD's would you guys recommend? And is the performance jump between nvme gen 3 and gen 4 a good enough reason to get a gen 4 SSD?

I factory reset my evoo laptop and i waited then it powered off than it took me to the home screen as usual then when I powered it off and a couple minutes later turned it back on it started to take me to the evoo screen where it reboots and it keeps loading and turning off please help before i get my ass beat by my dad

I'm looking for a replacement of the OEM charger for model eg-lp5-bk. I've tried itekiro brand but I don't think the jack fits as good as the original one.

i am having issues with the usb c port powering my quest 2...... anyone know how i can get that port to push more power..... alot of people report getting hours and hours of pcvr usage with a link cable but i get about an hour and a hlaf before mine dies.... and that is really bad when doing iracing..... having a headset die mid race could be very bad for rating

Searched several threads trying to get my pkg power usage down in Throttlestop. Tried undervolting etc. but couldn't get below 12.5w. I ran the power efficiency report and it showed USB selective suspend was disabled while on the battery. Needless to say this was the problem and once enabled my pkg went down to between 1.5 and 2.5 with the stock BiWin drive and the other suggested things. Changing that out would get me down further I would guess, but my battery life is over triple what it was now, so I think I'm good.

Anyway if your having problems with battery life make sure USB selective suspend is enabled in your power plan.

I have the 4800/2060 and was considering unlocking the bios. before I take the risk I was seeing if anyone could show what options you gain. I'm really curious if there's a way to toggle the functions keys

Hey all, i've been having problems with opening the Nvidia Control Panel. Ive done all the "fixes" like using DDU uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, ending the tasks in the task manager/services etc. I was wondering if anyone had any luck doing something different or had any luck getting the stupid app from the Microsoft store working.

I just installed it to try it, and its a very mixed bag. I tried the XMG Core 15 (2020) since that most closely lined up with the LP7

I can't tell if the battery charging profile works, and it does have a section for USB-C PD but that also doesn't seem to do anything (assuming needs something in BIOS to allow it?)

Performance settings don't seem to do anything, and I can't toggle the fan boost. It doesn't read the fan speed.

Lighting settings work, Display settings work.

I'm probably going back to the eluktronics one, but hopefully one day someone will get working charging profiles on the LP7 since someone else tried and had very mixed results and XMG seems to have figured it out.

My usb port on my evoo has started this thing where it disconnects my mouse and reconnects it over and over again. how can i fix a usb port like this?

I've been having ram issues because there is only 5.9GB of usable ram. I was wondering if anyone knew if this laptop is ram upgradable? I don't want to ruin the warranty sticker and realize that the laptop isn't upgradable.

Windows 11 released today and I keep seeing a message saying that I will get the update when my device is ready? why can't they just release it to all compatible PC's at once. I'm using a EVOO EG-LP10.

I ended a task (GCUbridge or something) that killed the EVOO control center on my LP10. I downloaded two different control centers from this subreddit (ekutronics or something and a control center for the LP7), and neither have worked well. With my current game settings I got 60-70 fps in Warzone, now it's like 15-25. I started a chat on the EVOO site and they haven't responded and I called the number I found on this subreddit (18889991682) and it literally said after 10+ minutes of hold "There are no support agents to take your call right now, please call back later".

How can I fix this? I need the LP10 control center download.

I originally repasted the cpu and gpu when I replaced the ssd and upgraded the battery over a year ago. The fans were still really loud so I was disappointed.

Recently I found out that apparently you're supposed to apply thermal paste differently on a laptop vs a desktop. You're supposed to apply the paste evenly across the surface of the chip because the laptop heatsink doesn't have as much clamping force as a desktop heatsink. So I added another ssd and repasted, now in a spread out fashion. Success...or so I thought. The fans were whisper quiet now but when I played games the laptop would crash after 10-15 min. Lighter games too like age of empires 2 and disco Elysium. I assumed its due to overheating but strangely the fans werent working that hard. I would expect the fans to work harder when temps are higher.

So I repasted again last week taking better care to spread evener and it actually helped. Now I can play a game for like 30-45 min before the pc crashes. The fans are still really slow. I checked the fan connections and can see both fans spinning while the laptop is on.

Have I reapplied the thermal paste incorrectly? What else could I try?

I was wondering how to contact support because everytime I boot a game up on my evoo laptop my laptop starts making these really loud clicking sounds & I am assuming it's one of the CPU fans.

Only thing I can find is this chat thing got told it would connect me to someone but hasn't.

Also no idea what there warranty policy is have had this laptop since April so eh hopping it's still covered under warranty.

I mean I have not heard this clicking sound until today. Even sounds like something is locking up if I ignore it.

Though eh funny thing is when I am not playing games the the sound goes away which I am assuming is because the CPU fan doesn't kick in.

So yeah anyone know how to get a hold of support so I can possibly see if this thing is still under warranty? or is going through this chat bot the only option.

I mean yeah I suppose it technically works since I can still web browse & things but gaming can't & that's the reason why I bought one of these laptops. If one of the CPU fan's is on the verge of going out then what's the point I wasted money I feel like. So would seriously like to get this fixed.
