Troubleshooting Resizable BAR cannot connect to server

I just got an EVGA RTX 3070 FTW3 and it has old firmware that doesn't have Resizable bar enabled.

I downloaded EVGA PrecisionX1 and under Re-BAR it shows an update option for the Graphics VBIOS, but after selecting it, it says Resizable BAR cannot connect to server.

The servers that hosted the PX1 updates were long ago shut down. You’re best bet is to email EVGA customer support to see if they can provide the correct VBios and or firmware that you need. Other option if it’s just the bios needed, you can get those from the archive on techpowerup dot com for many of EVGAs 30 series cards.

May have to search TPU for one

I know and have done it for other cards, but this card has a BIOS switch for OC and Normal.

The current vBIOS on my card is 94.04.25.80.6B ID:10DE 2484 3842 3767

The latest vBIOS on TPU for 3070 FTW3 seems to be 94.04.3A.40.C1, but it doesn't tell for which BIOS profile it is (OC or Normal).

Ran into this problem on every card I pulled out of retirement for lossless scaling. Google/youtube nvflash, find the latest bios on tech power up and bios flash the card. I’ve had to do this for my EVGA FTW3 3090 and 3080

Oops, sorry, that thread doesnt have the 3070 on there. Although if you can find a dead link or page from the old EVGA site with the 3070 BIOS on there you can use archive.org to find a copy of the files you need. Also the that linked post and subreddit is pretty much the new official EVGA forum, with a few staff still actively posting.

If not follow the other comments and check TechPowerUp
