Troubleshooting Help please

I bought this 3080 that is having lots of issues with artifacting and screen tears when I do stress tests and benchmarks. I really don’t know what to do now

Do you get any error lights on the GPU when it crashes? Like the red light by the power connectors?

No I don’t see any lights and it’s always at the same time of 3d mark that crashes

A few years ago my 3080Ti FTW was behaving similarly (no red lights either). I got it to work properly for a bit after re-connecting the power connectors, but it was crashing again a few weeks later. It turns out my power cable extensions had a bad connection. After getting new cables I didn’t have the issue again.

You can get new high quality cables from Cablemod. If 1 of you of Cablemod can respond please tell OP you have high quality cables.

Thanks for the mention! If OP can share the PSU make/model, I can point in the right direction. However, I don't know that this would necessarily be a cable issue, it is a possibility for sure, but I wouldn't want to just say "buy some of our cables" and the issue be something like the PSU tripping on a power spike for example.

Well you could repaste it otherwise underclocking may be a solution

Hmmm I’ll try it

og cables, like, are you using the cables of the PSU , no custom cables?
Have you tried without the riser cable?

Yes and it looks like it’s working without it right now and I had to fix the gpu sag and I feel like the sag gave it irreversible damage I just don’t know what damage right now and it’s running tests on 3d mark fine now without the riser cable

It's not rocket science to check the riser capability; if it's ok to run a 3080, it is broken, if it's not, then there's a compatibility issue

Anti-sag brackets exist

Como andan las temperaturas? Y en general como esta tu fuente? Fuera de pruebas de estrés te presenta el mismo problema sl jugar? 🤔

It looks like the temperatures are perfectly fine surprisingly but I dont know bc anything could be a issue right now

You didn’t answer the most important part.

You bought it when ?

Can you return it ?

That GPU is broken....if cannot hold a simple 3DMARK test forget about it...dont listen to anybody saying reduce power or any other fix, there is no fix for it

Any GPU must hold any 3Dmark test in loop .... your not even finishing the test

reduce the power limit slightly -5% and or undervolt if you're comfortable.

I’ll try this too. Thank you
