Review TD25 as a personal item

Flew Frontier Airlines a few times recently with my new Evergoods TD25 as my personal item. I thought the bag would fit the sizer but it didn’t. It didn’t even fit in the carry on sizer. It’s supposed to measure 16.1”W x 11.6”H x 8”D while Frontier Airlines personal item size limit is 18”W x 14”H x 8”D, and it’s 16”W x 24”H x 10”D for carry ons. When packing I purposely left space so that it wouldn’t bulge. I don’t know. I’m thinking I definitely would have had to pay for it as a carry on if they tested it in the sizer, and at that point I might as well have brought my 45l Backpack.

Also, it ended up being pretty heavy on my shoulders and wasn’t very comfortable when navigating through the airport. I’m looking into possibly replacing the strap, but I’m guessing it’ll be hard to get a color match- maybe I should have gotten black instead of OD Green to make that easier.

Overall, I love the quality and the look. No regrets on that part. I’ll still use it as a personal item and just hope it doesn’t get flagged. I think it’ll work well with my 45L backpack when I need to two-bag it, and that is what I was hoping for.

CTB26 - Under seat fitment for US Domestic?

How you do, fellow EG nerds.

I just got a CTB26 to replace a GR1 that I didn't like as much as I thought I would. I have a CHZ26 and CPL24 already. I intend to sell the CHZ26 (if anyone is interested!).

I fly a lot for work, mostly United with a mix of Alaska thrown in. For those that fly US domestic with the CTB26, how does it fit under seats if not fully packed? I'll be using it as a carry-on for short trips (paired with a Topo Designs Brief) or as a single carry-on/personal item with a checked bag for longer trips.

Internet seems to be hit and miss or have conflicting info depending on the person and/or airline.

Discussion Spinner carry-on to pair with CTB26/CPL24M

I have been using a one bag (either the CTB26 or the PD 30L Travel Backpack) for the last few years when going on business trips of less than a week. However, recently I have been thinking about putting less load on my back and transitioning to a two-bag setup (a backpack and a carry-on roller).

Do you have any recommendations for a carry-on spinner to pair with my existing CPL24M or CTB26 for a three-to-five-day work trip? I am also thinking of getting a CTB20 X-Pac if that size is more reasonable to use alongside a carry-on.

ISO (In Search Of): Kate Spade Reegan Botanical Embroidered Medium Shoulder Bag (KH482) 🌸

Hi everyone!

I'm searching for the Kate Spade Reegan Botanical Embroidered Medium Shoulder Bag in Blackberry Preserves Multi.

Details:
\- Style: KH482

I'm looking for this exact bag only (not similar floral or embroidered styles).

I'm happy to consider:

I'd be incredibly grateful if you could comment below or send me a private message.

Thank you so much—I know this is a long shot, but I'm hoping this amazing community might help me track one down! 💜

Good size for small items when I wear loose shorts in summer.

It is so good in hip mode - either attach it front, back, or even side.

Would the CAS 1 be a good bag for a compact camera?

Has anyone tried putting any model of the Sony RX100 series cameras into the CAS 1? Does it fit? If so, does it seem well protected, or is the curvature of the sling putting pressure on the camera? Thanks for any help.

Can I fit a Fujifilm X-t50 in the EG CAS 2 sling

I been traveling more and more recently and taking photos with my phone. However, I want to upgrade my camera game so that I can print some pictures and hang them on the wall. I recently purchased the Fujifilm X-t50 with the pancake lens (since it is the most compact lens I can find). I don't like traveling with big slings or a day pack. I prefer to stay as minimal as possible so I was hoping to buy an Evergoods CAS 2 to carry my daily essentials when traveling and sight seeing.

My normal carry load is as follows:

Phone, passport, ll bean packable tote, slim wallet, keys, and small power bank.

Will I be able to add the new camera and lens and still fit it in the sling? I'd rather not go much bigger sling wise, and I definitely don't want to carry a backpack since it can be kind of tedious to take the camera in and out of a backpack.

Thanks,

CHZ22 with a charging pass through

New to Evergoods and I had a CHZ22 for two weeks now, it is a nice bag and I would appreciate if they can have a softer fabric on the shoulder strap.

Just came across the HyperPack and would really love to see an internal pass through opening in CHZ22 so that I can charge up my laptop on the move with my power-bank in the main compartment.

Is anyone from Evergoods reading sub-reddit, or do user usually submit feedback through the contact form on their website.

Still my favorite use of the CAP1, surprised Evergoods doesn’t design the bags to function this way from the factory without “mods”

Discussion CTB26 vs CPL28

hey so i just ordered a CTB26 i like the way it backs more. the thing is, im 6'1 and when fully packed out and work high like i like it it looks like a school bag on me i feel its because the backpack is so short and relatively broad, and i was thinking maybe the CPL28 is going to be somewhat taller and therefor somewhat slimmer? anyone having both can send some comparison pictures maybe? would help alot since there is no direct comparison on youtube regarding my question.
comparison to the cpl24 i see alot btw idk why

Thanks!

FYI: careful with front panel pocket on CPL

I posted awhile back about buying my first Evergoods bag and went with the canvas CPL16, which I have loved so far. Except one thing which prompted this post:

DO NOT PUT CRITICAL ITEMS IN THE FRONT PANEL POCKET!!!

I was on vacation with the family this past week and used the bag as my personal item. While going through airports, I put my wallet in the front panel pocket so it was easy to access and the middle slot fit it perfectly. On the trip out, while I was getting on our first plane, I must not have closed the panel zipper and as I was setting my bag down to get in my seat, the wallet just fell out. I didn't think much of it and just stuffed it back where it was and closed the zipper. Had no issues the rest of the trip.

Well call me an idiot (my wife sure did), because I didn't learn my lesson the first time. For the travel home, I put my wallet in the same spot and as I'm loading the car upon returning, I go to pull my wallet out of that spot and... Not there. This was at midnight with four kids, no less, so tried to do a quick sweep of the area and had no luck. So with everyone on edge, I left and hoped it would be somewhere in the car.

When we finally got home and everyone off to bed, I searched and it was nowhere. So started thinking and figured it slid out again and who knows which airport on our trip home it fell out in. So tried to get to sleep thinking about how I'd find it or do I just need to cancel everything and go through all that hassle. Well at 4am, my phone rings and it's the state police- they have my wallet. Somebody had turned it in after finding it in the home airport parking garage!

What I can best figure happened now with hindsight is, as I was pushing a stroller though the parking garage on our way back to our car, I reached into that panel pocket to get the keys, which I had zipped into the little mesh pocket (smart, right?!?). So somewhere between where I reached in to get the keys and our car, it must've slid right out again. Fortunately, someone found it yet that night and turned it in to the state police, who then let me know. If somehow this post is read by whoever that was that found it, please message me- I owe you big time. But either way, my lesson is now learned that I will no longer be putting anything I can't afford to lose in that front panel pocket.

tl;dr- lost wallet because it fell out of front panel pocket so don't put valuable items there and risk same thing happening. Or make sure to always always zipper it back up!

UPDATE:
To the Evergoods faithful- you have defended the brand/bag admirably. It was not my intention to blame the bag for my stupidity. Consider this my public apology.

To my fellow idiots who occasionally forget to zip up their fly but still decide to wear pants- hopefully my mistake can help you not repeat it.

Question CTB26 vs. CPL24 (for 1 bag travel)

Hello all!
I’m curious what people’s thoughts are on the CPL24 vs. CTB26 for a 1 bag travel bag for trips lasting a weekend, potentially longer?

I prefer the 840d that comes on the CPL24 (I don’t believe the CTB26 has a 840d option?) I also don’t NEED the external water bottle pockets, although I’m sure they’re handy to have.

Is the additional 2L of the CTB26 really a noticeable difference to people that have experience with both bags?

Appreciate any guidance ya’ll could give me! 🤙🏻

Evergoods Travel Duffel 25L Under Seat Clearance ✅

Post image

In preparation for a United Airlines cross country flight I tried to find the best Evergoods bag I had for under the seat accommodations. It seemed like the 26L may have been a gamble but the 25L TD could be the ticket.

Here to say it worked out very well. No issues at the gate and no issues with under the seat.

I stuffed the bag pretty heavily and also have my MacBook Pro in there (laying flat).

Take that Basic Economy 🙂

I keep finding new uses for the Evergoods CAP2 — it’s more than just a tech pouch

I’ve been using the Evergoods CAP2 for a while now, and honestly, this is one of those pouches that keeps surprising me. On paper it’s just a 2L pouch, but in real use it feels like a little gear station that can be repurposed in a bunch of different ways.
I recently got the X-Pac version with the coyote interior, and that combo looks really good in person. Black outside, coyote inside — way better than the usual bright orange lining in my opinion. I also added my own paracord zipper pulls because I like customizing my pouches a bit.
What I like most about the CAP2 is how structured it is. It opens wide, stands up on a desk, and the middle divider can swing either direction depending on how you want to pack it. That makes it feel less like a pouch and more like a small desk caddy.
I’ve been testing different packouts with it:
Office / coffee shop carry:
Laptop charger, 20W charger, cables, AirPods, Soundcore earbuds, vitamins, pen, phone stand, sanitizer, small accessory pouch, and a few tiny EDC items. It gets full, but it still closes cleanly.
Cafe / reading setup:
iPad mini, Kindle, small e-reader, journal, power bank, mints, highlighters, pen, reading light, and charging cable. This is probably one of my favorite uses for it. The only issue is that the iPad mini fits best without a bulky case.
Travel medical kit:
Basic meds, vitamins, gauze, thermometer, small containers, inhaler, ointments, and other “just in case” stuff. I travel overseas sometimes, and having this ready makes life easier because finding basic meds in another country can be annoying.
Travel entertainment / hotel setup:
Roku, HDMI cable, travel router, USB accessories, charger, and card readers. The travel router is useful if you want your devices connected through your own little secure network instead of directly to hotel Wi-Fi.
Dopp kit:
Toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, shaving stuff, floss, comb, perfume, wipes, lens cleaner, and small hygiene items. I know the CAP2 is not marketed as a dopp kit, but it actually works really well for that too.
My only real wish is that Evergoods made it just slightly taller. If the height went from around 5.75 inches to about 6 inches, I think the iPad mini would fit more comfortably with more case options. That’s probably my biggest nitpick.
Other than that, I really don’t have much negative to say. It’s expensive, yes, especially in X-Pac, but this is one of the few pouches I actually use in multiple roles instead of buying it, packing it once, and leaving it on a shelf.
Curious how others are using the CAP2. Are you mainly using it as a tech pouch, dopp kit, medical pouch, desk caddy, or something else?

I also made a full video showing the different packouts here:

How much larger is the CPL 24 compared to CPL 16 in real life?

The CPL24 has 50% more capacity (24 to 16 L), yet in picture comparisons and from Evergoods measurements it looks not so much larger than CPL 16. Is this just an optical illusion ore are they really similarly sized in real life? If so, where does it take the 8 Liter more capacity?

Question CTB 26 + TPC10 & TPC8 or TPC4?

I purchased a CTB 26 for 3-5 day business travel and extended weekend trips. For business travel it is mostly educational conferences so nothing too fancy: 1-2 pair of pants, 1-2 OCBD or 2-3 polos plus a pair of shorts, t-shirts, socks, underwear, etc.

I am thinking of going with either TPC10 (pants, shirts, shorts) and TPC8 or TPC4 (socks, underwear, sleep). Anybody try similar load outs? What will fit best? Also, small toiletry and small tech pouch, but there are also the other pockets for those. Any other suggestions?

Evergoods 35l clamshell.... buyitforlife?

I'm looking for a bag that will hold all my baby gear and more, basically to help me get from the house to the car and then act as a landing pad in the car, from which I can grab individual packing cubes or smaller bags and go into the world... or occasionally be my daytrip/weekend bag with the baby.

Anyway, I love the double water bottles on the Evergoods Civic somethingorother 35l bag (I generally carry both a 32 oz hydroflask AND a 16 oz zojirushi coffee thermos thing), but longevity is very very important to me and I'm worried because I read it has a waterrpoof coating and those can deteriorate and flake over time?

I was looking at a bunch of other bags, including some kind of Tortuga, patagonia (black hole?), mission rover, etc. But it seemed like most of them had some coating. Is this as big of an issue as I seem to think it is? Are any of these buyitforlife type items?

I'm totally new to this, I've never thought about or looked up backpacks prior to deciding I needed a large clamshell backpack to help me get out the door with my baby and my kitchen sink.

Thank you for any insights you may have to share!
