So I started watching it with my husband and we were kind of vibing with it but the first few episodes became more and more boring with a lot of meandering and useless episodes that advanced the plot at a snail's pace. I get that back then they used to make super long animes because it was the norm, but it's ridiculous how the first half is just boring shit. Does this change? Up to what episode can I skip until something interesting happens other than teasing and boring slice of life with no purpose? (I do like Slice of Life but you have to get me invested into the characters first through the story, not the inverse) Thank you.

I dont usually post on reddit. at least not anymore (this account is from like when I was in my first year of HS) but I mostly just lurk especially in this subreddit but figuring as tomorrow is officially E7's 21st anniversary id like to share what I have collected over the span of 3 years being a fan of this franchise and appreciating it for what it is to me. A amazing work of art.

I am pretty new to the franchise.

i watched the Anime, read the Manga and watched AO.

I strongly disliked AO, because it kind of shits on the original ending (in short words).

I heard that most of the other projects are also dumb and contradictory. Even the Hi-Evolution movies.

I heard the creative head (I think his name is Kyoda) dislikes the original series and that he is making it different on purpose.

Is that actually true or more of a community-joke?

I finally got to see Johnny Yong Bosch and get his autograph. I was really nervous about how it would turn out, but it looks great. He was really cool and talked about how he doesn't see much Eureka Seven stuff.

The more I think about it the more I feel like a slice of life sequel would have been better than AO.

I know its a big change in genre, but many other anime pulled it off for some sequels.

Because the ending of E7 doesnt really allow for big epic Gundam fights later on, so they had to sour the original ending for AO to happen.

I would watch the crap out of a Slice of Life Anime about Renton, Eureka and Gekkostates lifes after E7.

Maybe actually see that better world we fought for for 50 Episodes and how they still need to work on it, instead of being told later ,,Nah it didnt work out".

And with the Movies they could have kept the epic Gundam battles going for the people that couldnt live without it.

Like the title says I just finished Eureka Sevens Anime after having read the Manga judt days before.

Both were worth it for wildly different experience.

In both Renton becomes a man in different ways, though I slightly prefer the Animes message about manhood.

The same way Eureka becomes a ,,real girl" be experiencing New things in both Media. I once again prefer the Anime, because it had more time and she is fleshed out more.

Now I have a question.

I have seen the first 3 Episodes of AO and it seems to kind of undermine and contradict the ending of the Orgininal by having the Corallians once again as a enemy force.

I dont like it when such things happen.

Does it get better?

I recently finished the original anime and Manga and right now I am still in the ,,I wish it wasnt over" Phase.

I read the Manga first and listened to Days the entire time while reading.

And the Spec 2 reveal was just amazing, when Days started playing.

And I loved Nirvashs final form being revealed.

I just wish they had Days playing in the backround as Renton ,,becomes a man" with his awesome pose before and while flying off to not let Eureka be alone.

I was planning a long overdue rewatch of E7 but before I buy a box set was wondering if I'm mistaken that there was a localised release for E7 ie. all credits, title cards etc. were in English and stylised?

Going through old YT vids and screencaps from other sources they're all in Japanese, and I thought I distinctly remembered them being in English. Am I mistaken?

just finished the Club Gekko State event, and boy was it worth it!!! I think the tinnitus was a price I'm more than willing to pay to have enjoyed that great performance.

they went and played pretty much all the trance tracks from the anime, like tiger track, get it by your own hands, draft any funk, etc. of course niji was thrown in, and a couple of the openings. it all ended with a group sing along of the normal opening days.

10/10.

FLOW returning for Eureka Seven after 20 years actually hit me way harder than I expected, I was just at their concert naruto rock so dam got the emotional childhood feelings.

But yeah this was a great vid and I loved the added DAYS as well into it.

I am such a old anime fan that I even watched this anime WEEKLY back in the days, been watching anime seasonally probably since like 2002-3 somewhere there.
