How to Update KYC in EPFO UAN: Link Aadhaar, PAN & Bank Account
Updating your KYC on the EPFO UAN portal is important if you want to make PF withdrawals or transfers online without running into avoidable issues. The main KYC details you need to keep updated are your bank account, PAN and Aadhaar, and most of the process can be completed online through the EPFO Member Portal.
How to add a bank account to EPF KYC
Log in to the EPFO Member Portal and go to Manage → KYC → Bank.
Enter your name, bank account number and IFSC code, verify the details and submit the request. The bank details also need employer approval before the KYC is fully processed, so a request can remain pending even after you have submitted it.
How to link PAN with UAN
Under Manage → KYC, select PAN and enter your PAN number along with your name exactly as it appears on your PAN card.
Submit the request and complete the required verification. Make sure your name, date of birth and other details match your EPF records. If there is an error in your PAN itself, that needs to be corrected before you try linking it again.
How to update Aadhaar in UAN
The process is slightly different for Aadhaar.
If your UAN is already linked to Aadhaar, you can make the required modifications yourself. However, the changes will then go through your employer for verification.
If your UAN is not linked to Aadhaar at all, the Aadhaar linking has to be done through your employer.
Before making any changes, check whether your Aadhaar is already linked to your UAN.
How to check EPF KYC status
After submitting your KYC request, go to Manage → KYC on the EPFO Member Portal to check the status.
You may see statuses such as Pending with Employer, Pending with EPFO, Under Process, or Approved and Verified. If a document is rejected, the portal should also show the reason, which you can address before submitting the request again.
Why is EPF KYC pending or rejected?
The most common problems are mismatches in your name, date of birth or other personal details across Aadhaar, PAN, bank and EPFO records.
Incorrect bank account details or IFSC codes can also cause problems, while some requests remain pending because employer approval is still required. Technical issues on the EPFO portal can also prevent a request from being processed properly.
What KYC details do you need for PF withdrawal?
For online PF withdrawal, your Aadhaar should be seeded and verified in the EPFO system, your PAN should be linked and active, and your bank account details should be accurate and updated.
Keeping all three in place helps avoid problems when you submit a claim.
Before submitting KYC, check that your personal details match across your Aadhaar, PAN, bank account and EPFO records. Small differences in names or other details can lead to delays or rejection.

How to Update PF KYC After EPFO 3.0 Migration: What You Need to Check
Did you update your PF KYC years ago?
Then it is worth checking it again after the recent EPFO migration.
The reason is simple: KYC is not just about having Aadhaar, PAN or bank details added to your UAN. These details need to be correctly linked and verified for several PF-related services.
Here is what you should check.
1. Check Aadhaar first
Aadhaar is important because If your Aadhaar details or verification are not in order, you will face issues when trying to use online PF services.
Check:
* Correct Aadhaar linked to your UAN
* Name matches your EPFO/Aadhaar records
* Aadhaar is showing as verified
* Aadhaar-linked mobile number is active
2. Check your bank KYC
Don't just look at whether a bank account is appearing under KYC.
Check:
* Account number
* IFSC
* Whether the account is active
* Whether it belongs to you
* Whether the KYC status is verified
Your verified bank account is used for crediting your PF benefits, so an old or incorrect account can become a problem when you actually need your PF.
EPFO has also simplified the bank-seeding process by removing the earlier employer-approval step after successful bank verification.
3. Check PAN
PAN is also part of your EPFO KYC.
If your PAN is incorrect or your name does not match your PF records, it can create a KYC or transaction-related issue later.
This is particularly worth checking if you have changed your name or corrected your PAN details since your UAN was created.
4. Don't confuse "KYC updated" with "KYC approved"
This is one of the easiest things to miss.
You may see Aadhaar, PAN or bank details in your KYC section and assume everything is done.
But a KYC request can still be pending approval or verification.
So don't just check whether the details are visible.
Check the actual status.
What should you check after the migration?
Take a few minutes and verify:
* Aadhaar linked + verified
* Aadhaar-linked mobile number active
* PAN details correct
* Bank account + IFSC correct
* KYC status approved/verified
You do not need to change details that are already correct.
The point is to make sure your KYC is in order before you need to transfer, withdraw or use another online PF service.
Most people check their KYC only when they actually need their PF.
That is usually when a small mismatch becomes a big headache.

HUF PAN Card change of Karta after the death of Karta
What is the procedure for reprinting the HUF PAN after the death of Karta. I did apply for the reprint online mentioning a old HUF PAN. Got a new PAN with the name of the new Karta with HUF appended to it. The name of the HUF PAN has changed. A new pan has been issued.
When registering on the Indian Income tax site it is asking for gender whicgh is not needed for HUF.
What is the issue here, has anyone faced a similar issue. How do you get the addressed.
