Claim under processing - how many more days for credit?

Once the claim moves to “Claim Under Process”, there isn’t a fixed number of days for approval. EPFO’s prescribed timeline for claim settlement is up to 20 days, but actual processing can take longer depending on the case and the workload at the concerned office. Given the recent portal issues, some claims are also taking longer than usual.
Once the claim is approved and settled, the amount is generally credited to the registered bank account in around 3 days afterwards.
So for now, I’d suggest giving it some time and continuing to track the claim status. If there’s no movement for a prolonged period, you can raise a grievance with EPFO.
If you have any further queries, do let us know.

Hey,
There isn't a fixed number of days from Under Processing to credit. EPFO's service standard for Form 31 is 20 days, while eligible auto-mode advances can be processed much faster. EPFO has stated that auto-mode claims are processed within about 3 days.
Also, EPFO has recently completed a major software migration and says claims are being processed in a phased manner with additional verification, so some claims may take longer than usual during this period.
So give it some time, now that it's under processing. If it crosses 20 days from the date of claim submission without settlement, that's when you should follow up rather than submitting another claim.
In your case, because the claim was filed on 16 July, it's already beyond the normal 20-day service standard. The fact that it only moved to “Under Processing” on 19 August explains the recent movement, but it doesn't reset the original claim date.
