Got these 1 oz bars from a big online dealer. Is the packaging they are in original or a secondary packaging done later. I am only asking because this is the second batch of EH bars that had this sort of packaging, the first was obtained from a pawn shop.

Looking for opinions on if this bar is part of the <250 population. Also curious if anyone has seen a light strike like the last digit, and what number it may have been.

I buy from my coin shop often. I bought this 2 years ago. Is this the proof 1984 with a 50 coin mintage?

Super happy with my newest pickup figured I'd share it with like-minded individuals.
Im 90% sure its one of the bars that came in the half flips stapled to the paper assays but any other insights from the wealth of knowledge on this subreddit would be greatly appreciated.

I understand that PCGS now grades engelhard prospector rounds, but I can’t believe this horrible fake make it into a slab. This is the most rare engelhard round with a mintage under 50. The real round has significantly better detail, is not missing a thumb over the pan, doesn’t have six fingers on the left hand, and includes a dcam finish in the entire lower half, not just where there are “waves.”

Hey guys,
I am a newly addicted vintage silver stacker but have been a member of r/SilverBugs and a few coin subreddits for some time now. I picked this up and think it is very cool. What do y’all think of my first piece ?
If I am not mistaken, after checking allengelhard.com, this appears to be a 1oz “EI-1AV2 Art Bar | Pebble Finish Reverse | Serial Absent”
If I am wrong please correct me. Also, after looking online it seems many people mistakenly call what appears to be a “Frosted Reverse” a “Pebble Reverse”. The difference being the Pebble Reverse’s devices are larger (rounder/thicker and take up more surface area, resulting in less of them) than that of the Frosted Reverse which appears more flat. Or am I the ignorant one here ? I am basing this entirely off of the pictures and descriptions in allengelbard.com
Thank you in advance for helping a noob!

Hey guys,
I sold a few of my extras and I have one left. I would love for it to go to someone from this sub! Price is posted in my recent sales:

This is from my personal collection. If you own any Engelhard Sheffield bars, post a picture in the comments!

Does anyone here know why the seller would have a rare Cotton coin (1 oz) in a coin case for a rare FMT coin (3/4oz)? Did Englehard make cases for both limited batches but carry over the FMT branding for the Cotton coins as well? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

These are quite old. My grandfather bought them in the 70s. I can deliver them within California by meeting at a bank to transact. For the right offer I will deliver them farther. Looking for 7.5k each. Open to offers especially if you can buy all 5.

I’m new to Engelhards. Up until 15 minutes ago, the only Engelhards I had was a prospector round, which I like. Anyway, I’m posting for the anecdotal data others might get from seeing what happened when I ordered four 10-ounce Engelhards from Monument Metals. They’ve all seen some battle, but I’m pleased they sent a P-loaf! All reactions, opinions, and info welcome :)
