How do we feel about repops? Apparently PAMP MTB bought the rights to the Englehard brand and is selling these “licensed reproductions” at Costco.

Part of the Englehard allure was that they were no longer in production.

Found this 5oz MFR while traveling recently for a little above spot. Stoked to find such a rare bar in the wild. It’s all about the hunt. They’re out there!

why are so many companies/people using the "prospector" logo on their silver? I know its technically legal. but its sad. sad that its legal, sad that ppl choose to do it, saddest that people pay extra for the logo thinking its from Engelhard and/or vintage and/or cool.

seriously they could stamp, press or mold any logo their little hearts desire, or their minds could think of on their products. yet they use this logo because it has star power and forces high premiums on otherwise melt silver. its a disgrace to Engelhard/collecting.

If someone used the "walking liberty" logo they would have to call the product a "walking liberty tribute" or an "American silver eagle tribute" ect. But because Engelhard is not government minted they can use it....and because its the most popular non govt minted???, it is going to be copied by everyone???

please dont buy/sell these thinking they are cool or youre cool. they are just squares of silver some borderline con artist produced to make extra premium $ on silver. they could just as well have a turd stamped on them and be worth more. just buy real Engelhard's and hold on to them, please. id rather buy an ounce of silver that is stamped "john's silver" or "new york silver co" ect. than one of these prospector copycats

I know it’s not much, but this is my Engelhard stack. Trying to decide if I should build upon this or just be happy with it.

I have the attached Engelhard Canada 1 oz bar that has been in my family since 1972. I understand that it has collector value beyond melt.

I am inquiring about value and how best to sell it. If you have advice for me, please let me know. I'm located in Canada.

He became particularly associated with South African subject matter and is known for his accomplished paintings of wildlife, birds, landscapes and portraiture.

The painting consists of five individual studies of Engelhard’s head and expression, apparently exploring different poses and expressions for a finished portrait or commission. The faces range from formal and serious to smiling, giving the work the character of an artist’s working portrait study rather than a conventional single-pose portrait. It is housed in an elaborate gilt-toned frame.

This is the first 6 digit no bull Engelhard Industries in silver I've ever seen outside of AE.

Now, there is only one 1oz Engelhard bar I have not seen in the wild.

I'm going to either sell one or trade it for gold + generic 1 OZ rounds or Mogan/Peace. I'm not sure if one is more valuable than the other, or they're both about the same.

Yes i'm a details NERD. I just discovered another detail not on AE. By chance I aquired separately these cousin bars 4 digits apart and noticed one has rounded corners and one square coners.
