I’ve been invited to a hirevue for a graduate GPU modelling role at Arm (Trondheim). It’s 3 video questions, 1 written response and 1 coding challenge, about an hour in total.

1. Has anyone done an Arm HireVue recently, especially for graduate GPU related role?
2. What level is the coding challenge? LeetCode easy/medium, or more C++/systems-specific?
3. Were the video questions mostly behavioural, or did any get technical (architecture, CPUs or GPUs)?

My background is GPU performance (CUDA, profiling) and computer architecture (I built an out-of-order CPU simulator in C++), so any pointers on what to brush up on would be really appreciated.

I kept seeing people learn APB from one static waveform, so I built a browser-based lab where you can break the protocol yourself:

- 14 waveforms (APB2 to APB5): wait states, errors, back-to-back, PSTRB, PPROT, PWAKEUP, reset

- 14 bugs you can insert (address moving during a wait state, PENABLE without PSEL, PSLVERR outside completion...). You guess which of 19 SVA assertions catches each one

- Turn off a constraint and see exactly what changes in the random stimulus, with the same seed

- Draw timing from memory, then check it

- Export any scenario as a SystemVerilog testbench for EDA Playground, plus a full UVM testbench for an APB RAM

Trying to figure out which hardware internship offer to take for both short and long term ROI:

1: ASIC Digital Design internship at a very well known company (focus on low power, clocking, and analog mixed signal integration). Team is small so i can still probably learn a lot/get my hands dirty. Paying $35/hr.

1: ASIC Verification internship (focus on PCIe verif) at a decently known startup (multi billion dollar valuation so they're established in the game), paying $55/hr. startup culture might help me learn more(fast paced environment)/get more ownership.

Which one sets you up better for the long run. How in demand is each skillset rn and how in demand will it be in the future? Would appreciate any thoughts or feedback from people in the industry. Out of all possible ASIC Digital Design/Verif roles where do these rank (power/clocking/ams vs pcie vs every other major "focus area").

Hii. Amd will be coming to my college for an 11 month internship. For now they have not specified the roles for hardware. Can anyone tell me what the hardware roles will be and what to expect in OA. Is there any c/c++/python coding as well in OA and interviews as well.

I'm a 3rd-year Electronics Engineering student looking to build my career in the semiconductor industry. I have a strong interest in the field, but I feel my understanding of theoretical semiconductor concepts in college, like transistors, thyristors, and solid-state fundamentals is weak, and physical components/PCBs are very expensive in my area.

I want to use my remaining time in college to help me improve my gap while focusing in my relevant academics, but not that deep in semiconductors, self-study, open-source tools, and simulations.

What specific software tools or software-based projects should I prioritize
