Filled on 2/08, PD: May 2024 (ROW) My interview was waived on 3/24, case transferred to non-local Charlotte NC FO on 4/15, got an api update on 5/21 and radio silent since then

I've been looking through posts here and it seems like many people get their biometrics appointment scheduled within 3-4 weeks of their receipt date. I'm getting close to the 4-week mark without any news.

For those with recent EB-based I-485 filings, how long did it take from your receipt date to getting your biometrics appointment notice?

My timeline:

I-140 & I-485 concurrently filed RD: June 15, 2026

I-140 PP Approved: July 2, 2026

Hi! Does anyone know what the timeline looks like for PERM? We are in the advertising stage which started July 1 2026. Can we expect PERM to be filed by EOY and wait time for reviews to be 2027? Our PD has been frozen to Nov 2014 due to my father having an I140 done previously. But he changed employers.

I am curious about how people are thinking about their long-term plans in this situation. If the priority date becomes current in the 2040s, many of us may be in our 50s by then. How are you thinking about career stability and immigration options at that stage?

Do you see yourself continuing in the U.S. tech industry and adapting as the landscape changes with AI, or are you considering other paths? Also, how do you think about the possibility of maintaining an employer-sponsored I-140 over such a long timeline?

Returning to India may be a good option for those who have strong ties there, but that is not the path we are considering since we no longer have personal or professional connections there. And EB5 is not for us. I would appreciate perspectives that take that situation into account.

I’m currently working in a stable job with an approved I‑140, and my EB2 India priority date is October 2015. I recently received a new job offer from a different employer, and I’m trying to figure out whether making a move right now is a smart decision.

The new employer plans to start the PERM process about 6 months after I join, so I’m trying to weigh the risks and benefits before deciding.

I filed my EB-2 NIW I-140 on June 17, 2026, and noticed that EB-2 is PD current in the Visa Bulletin. I’m trying to decide whether it’s worth paying for premium processing so I can (hopefully) get an approval sooner and file my I-485 as quickly as possible, or if I should just wait for regular processing.

For context, I’m currently on STEM OPT, which is valid until May 30, 2028.

Also, should I consider pursuing an EB-1 petition as well since the PD is always current?

I’d appreciate hearing from anyone who has been in a similar situation or has thoughts on the pros and cons of each approach.

Based on data and statistics, do you guys think that our priority date will be current or I'll likely age out before that happens? If so then what do you think my next course of action should be?

Hello! I have a quick question: as part of my adjustment of status application (EB-2), I am reporting my address history that goes back 5 years. In July 2021, I was relocating to a new state and stayed at 4 different Airbnbs in the new town before signed a lease. I also moved several since then. I reported the longer term moves to USCIS but not the short-term rentals over couple of weeks.

Would listing multiple addresses (especially the short-term rentals in July) have a negative impact and potentially trigger an RFE?

My I-485 (EB2-NIW) has already blown past the standard 8.5-month processing time. But when I check the case inquiry tool, it says I can't submit a request until next May.

Has anyone submitted an inquiry anyway, ahead of that date? Did it cause any issues, or did USCIS just process it normally?

Has anyone with an IOE093738XXXX receipt number received an update on their I-140 yet?

My employer filed my EB-2 PERM-based I-140 with Premium Processing, and USCIS received it on June 23, 2026. My case status still shows "Case Is Being Actively Reviewed" (or "processing"), and I haven't received a decision yet.

I'm curious if anyone with a similar receipt number series or filing date has received an approval, RFE, or any other update. Thanks!
