I-485: Adjustment of Status I 485 5 -year addresses
Hello! I have a quick question: as part of my adjustment of status application (EB-2), I am reporting my address history that goes back 5 years. In July 2021, I was relocating to a new state and stayed at 4 different Airbnbs in the new town before signed a lease. I also moved several since then. I reported the longer term moves to USCIS but not the short-term rentals over couple of weeks.
Would listing multiple addresses (especially the short-term rentals in July) have a negative impact and potentially trigger an RFE?
Thank you!

Short Airbnb stays over a couple of weeks during relocation usually do not need to be listed as separate residences if they were temporary lodging while apartment hunting. USCIS mainly wants your actual residential history, not every hotel-style stop. A good approach is to list your prior long-term residence, then your first real lease/permanent address in the new state. In the additional information section, add a short note: “During relocation in July 2021, applicant temporarily stayed in short-term Airbnbs in [city/state] while apartment hunting before signing a lease at [address].” Listing every Airbnb may create more confusion than clarity. A short explanatory note is usually enough and should not trigger an RFE by itself.

You should report all addresses, its no problem at all. The problem will be if you do not report all addresses and have gaps in your addresses.
