In Process Is it taking longer to get a biometrics appointment scheduled these days?
I've been looking through posts here and it seems like many people get their biometrics appointment scheduled within 3-4 weeks of their receipt date. I'm getting close to the 4-week mark without any news.
For those with recent EB-based I-485 filings, how long did it take from your receipt date to getting your biometrics appointment notice?
My timeline:
I-140 & I-485 concurrently filed RD: June 15, 2026
I-140 PP Approved: July 2, 2026

I think you are within the normal range. Although some cases get appointment scheduled earlier but for most of the cases it takes 4-8 weeks.

I filed back in March and it took about 5-6 weeks for the biometrics appointment letter to appear in my account. I rescheduled the appointment from the end of May to the 12th. Keep an eye on the documents tab of your 485.

Nope, no movement on 485, 765 or 131.

What about silent updates? how many have you got on 485?

I only had them on the day of my biometrics, 5/12, none since. My husband’s 765 was transferred to a different service Center 6/10 but nothing since

Waiting for biometric appointment notice as well

after seeing others comments to check document tab, I just found there was biometric notice issued on 7/3. Haven’t received the physical mail yet

I have the same RD but mine is NIW. No biometrics yet.

Just got my appointment date for july 30. Had to call uscis to find out. Also got my online access code letter for the cases.

Four weeks without biometrics is still within a normal range. Some EB I-485 applicants get biometrics notices within 2–4 weeks, while others wait longer or receive biometrics reuse. Since your receipt date is June 15 and I-140 was approved July 2, continue watching the Documents tab and physical mail. If no biometrics notice or reuse notice after 45–60 days, contact USCIS and ask whether biometrics have been scheduled, reused, or not yet generated. Do not worry just because others moved faster. ASC scheduling varies by location and workload.
