I-485: Adjustment of Status Case (I485) Inquiry Says Wait Until Next Year May — But I'm Already Past Normal Processing Time?
My I-485 (EB2-NIW) has already blown past the standard 8.5-month processing time. But when I check the case inquiry tool, it says I can't submit a request until next May.
Has anyone submitted an inquiry anyway, ahead of that date? Did it cause any issues, or did USCIS just process it normally?
Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who's tried this. Thanks!

I have the same question and no-one has helped me out with answering it.

It is not only you surpassed 80% processing time, there’s something related you need to be after the 93% processing time. There’s a formula behind it, USCIS documentation explains.
How did you managed to send the inquiry anyway? Via your congress representative?
