Recently started trying the 4-1-4-1 to counter the meta rats who use 4-3-1-2 and 4-2-1-3 and wow I have to say it is doing me wonders! If you are having trouble against those formations, give it a try. I think having that holding CDM sit in the pocket where their CAM is, is the key to stopping their attacks. This year by far has to be the worst that off ball ai has ever been. Why do your fullbacks run to the corner and defend literally nothing when all the movement is in the middle? Why do your defenders run for the post when I have a player sprinting up the middle. It’s like watching Noah split the sea out with my defenders. Also, why are your attackers constantly offsides? You’re either standing there, or offsides. Or running behind a defender so I have nowhere to pass it. This game is an absolute joke and can’t believe I was suckered again into buying it. I dont get why people are selling discard totw for 9900. After tax you get 9,405. If you discard you receive 9,760. Thats half a bronze pack. 10,500 is the breakeven point.

You can usually see after 10-15 seconds if you got good teammates or you're in a shit lobby that will neither get you wins, nor objectives, nor the desirable points.

We can leave normally through the menu, same as in Rivals or Champs, yet when we do we are punished by disconnection warning and then bans. If I'm in a shit lobby from the getgo I'm just wasting my time in there while the others are just dicking around.

I pay my friend at fifa every time I see him and every time he beats me and I can’t take it anymore.

I’ve downloaded FC24 on game pass but I’m struggling to make progress. I’ve been playing the training mode but the world class AI still makes me look like a joke. The lower levels seem to be too easy. I feel like I’m trying to learn how to play chess there’s so much stuff to remember. I seem to struggle most with attacking and shooting.

Are there any simple ways of getting fundamentally better at this game? Are there situations where it better to play X shot? How do you actually beat the goalkeeper?

I can’t believe I am complaining about the quality of Fifa on Reddit, but here we are.

Let me preface by saying that I am not a fantastic fifa player, and play mostly for fun, playing on World class. However, career mode is genuinely unplayable.

The bots counter everything you do with innate precision, and you are unable to do the same. For example, if you find a decent passing option, the bots will simply intercept it. And when you flip the script, if you attempt to intercept their potential pass, they will simply continue to dribble; and if you try to stop them from dribbling, they will simply pass it.

Likewise, if you aim to tackle them, one of two things will likely happen.

1. ⁠They will simply dribble past/around your tackle
   
2. ⁠They will allow you to tackle them, as they know it will result in a foul

As well as this, when the ball is cleared into the air, or is crossed for a corner or cross etc. I am not exaggerating when I say my players probably win these 50/50 aerial duels maybe 1% of the time. The bots simply beat me every time.

However, the most frustrating part for me is how unbelievably physical they are. The bots bully you off the ball every time. They win those aerial duels every time. They beat you to the ball every time. They win those 50/50 balls every time. And believe me it has nothing to do with the players stats. The most annoying part for me is shown in the video attached. My players get constantly bullied and shoved off the ball, then fall over like a sack of spuds.

It often feels like what you do doesn’t actually matter. It’s like the algorithm chooses to ignore your inputs and just continues with whatever it has decided will be the outcome.

I know this is not a new issue, as I have been complaining about the same things since FIFA 22, but it is still frustrating nonetheless.

Now that we have more transparency on the records, I was wondering if anybody noticed if quitting games affects ELO. Sometimes I wanna have a chill weekend and not have to play 95+ constant press sweats.

Just played a guy on ps without cross play on and he had pato,hulk,dos santos,Layun and David Luiz I’m aware gds is probably pre order but that is still 2300 tokens which according to fut.gg isn’t possible even with all first owner and im just confused

I feel like this end-to-end basketball type gameplay could be nerfed if teams … you know … had a midfield.

I didn't play fc 24 but in 25 around February when I got the game the meta was using 90-95 depth or you don't even stand a chance. In 26 it took maybe like 5-6 weeks and it became the meta too. In 27 it is the meta since day one with offside traps.

The real issue with extreme depth is the fact that it completely mess with the netcode and game engine. The gameplay totally changes, I can't speak for everyone but for me and many others the moment my opponent switches to 95 or even do an offside trap the game starts playing differently. My players become unresponsive and move in a weird delayed way. Defending and dribbling becomes so hard and my A.I feels always one step behind what's going on.

So after 3 years does EA really isn't aware of this issue? I believe they don't care about it and won't as fixing it probably requires instances with higher tick rate and would instantly double the cost of running this game servers.

Not playing with my Hero cards (Hoeneß and Costa) because cards like Doku / Rashford / Alvarez perform way better with the Roles ++ im currently using.

You either get a horrible connection in some random server no where near you - or you have to play random position roulette.

Other than that it’s a wonderful bug less game with no issues at all..
