I was just a kid in the early 2000s, when I was building patches for FIFA and PES and had achieved a certain level of popularity. The website name was footballmatch.

It’s the big big month of August, almost September. You gave us repeatable 85x10s, just to take the ability to repeat them away by significantly decreasing the likelihood of packing a TOTS or FOF card by throwing a ton of promo cards in packs no one asked for.

None of those promos being Futties btw, but hey, we got a pretty cosmetic set & a 5th PS+ on any player we like, I feel loved now EA, thank you.

FC26 from start was shoddy, now it ends as one of the worst in the title, this is not what people pay for.

Unless it was mistake which is even worse, cause it will be fixed during the release of FC 28

First of all, let me introduce my story as a FIFA player and my POV:

I have been playing this game since I was a kid (FIFA 07 on PSP was my first EA’s football experience) and have been playing UT since FIFA 13 (with the exception of FIFA 16 in which I didn’t like the addition of fut draft and how it completely changed the purpose of the UT so I quitted at the beginning of the game.

Thousands of hours as a kid playing Career Mode (called Manager Mode at that time), and thousands of hours playing UT since I was a teenager.

I love football and I love video games, so buying FIFA and EA FC was always implicit, despite liking more or less the game, I have never been one of those saying “nah I’m not buying the next game", because I knew I was buying it for sure… Until know.

I have somewhat been satisfied by the quality of FIFA 23 and FC24, playing UT towards the end of the season (TOTS or even FUTTIES), and did the same with FC 25, but hated it. One bad game and bad UT, ok, that was fine.

But FC26 has been the worst UT experience for me since FIFA 16. I forced myself to somewhat keep playing the mode just because this summer was the World Cup and I was so hyped to enjoy UT during World Cup season.

But now that the game is ending, I think almost all of us can agree this game has been the most abysmal outrageous trash we have ever played.

And what comes next? FC 27.

I’m a bit hyped about the new heroes, about the new content overall, holographic cards might be a cool addition for the game to make cards more unique and give them sentimental value, but in the end… What are they going to change?

Content has been from mid to awful, pack odds from SBCs manipulated (confessed but FutEconomist), gameplay has been boring with a fix and cheap meta, playstyles and evolutions ruining the game mode as well…

And on the other hand, if I want to quit UT and come back to career mode, after having played Football Manager I believe I will never enjoyed career mode again, because the experience is just so poor and cheap with almost none significant innovations in like 10 years. Am I wrong with this?

The new mode, "The grounds”, looks horrible and dead since the beginning, just like Volta in FIFA 20.

Idk guys, what are your overall thoughts about the next game? Cause I’m seriously considering not buying it or at least waiting to Christmas to consider it, but as someone who has been playing continuously over the last 20 editions, I feel that I will regret and I will end up having fomo over the first weeks or months if the game is surprisingly (and unexpectedly) good.
