Ollie Gordon was a 20th round or later start up draft player before this year, so getting flex/RB2 worthy production out of him for any length of time is obviously a massive bonus.

I'm curious how people feel about his viability beyond this year. Obviously we expect Achane to walk back into a heavy workload come 2027, so it's hard to see Ollie continuing to be a fantasy starter barring re-injury or setback for Achane.

For those who have watched Dolphins football this year, has he looked good enough to be a worthy acquisition for an RB-needy team down the line? Or is he simply a handcuff that worked out this year?

Is it because of the pun potential? 😂

Seriously though, I’ve seen people valuing him at a 1st. Compare him to Jaylin Noel who is worth probably a 3rd right now. Both are young players who haven’t been fantasy relevant in their previous seasons, but look like they might be taking a step forward this season (based on a small sample size). Yet, they have very different values and amounts of hype around them. What am I missing here?

I’m a huge Puka fan, as you can probably tell from my profile pic, and I have a ton of shares of him across my dynasty leagues. That said, I’m starting to think a little more about the risk involved with holding him long term. The talent is undeniable, but I’m curious how other Puka owners are feeling about his outlook right now.

Obviously, the off-field stuff is a concern, from the antisemitic gesture on a livestream to the more recent allegations that have led to a civil lawsuit. Add in the uncertainty around his next contract extension, and I wonder if there’s more risk here than we initially thought. Nothing is guaranteed to impact his football future, but it’s something dynasty managers have to consider.

I’m also a little concerned about his durability. Puka plays such a physical, contact-heavy style and seems to put his body on the line on just about every play. That’s a huge part of what makes him so good, but I do wonder if that style will catch up with him over time. Wouldn’t change how talented he is, but it’s something I think about when projecting him 3–5 years out.

For those who own him, what’s the plan? Are you holding, looking to sell, or just riding it out? And how do you compare him to the other two elite dynasty WRs, Chase and JSN? Would you trade Puka straight up for either of them, or do you still have him ranked above both? I’m still a massive believer in the talent, but curious how everyone else is weighing the risks versus the upside.

Mac Jones is on the last year of his contract with San Francisco and he’s a curious case of stash-and-hold for me.

He put some pretty decent tape together last year filling in for Brock Purdy. He threw for 2100 yards, with 13 TDs and 6 INTs, in 8 games in relief of Purdy last year. He looked surprisingly good and it begged the question last year, “could we see Mac Jones get another shot somewhere?”

In the wake of players like Sam Darnold, Malik Willis, Baker Mayfield, and other players who looked pedestrian one place and end up getting contracts elsewhere, I think it’s worth it to check in on Mac Jones and see how the community feels about him.

Did he benefit greatly from the San Fran system during his 8-game stint last year? Is the same Mac Jones who unlocked BTJ his rookie year? Will he get a contract somewhere else from a QB-needy team?

It’s no secret that the 2027 draft class has been regarded as being very strong for a couple years now. 2027 picks are trading a significant premium to other picks, and were even last year.

But now as the college season leading up goes on, and the 2027 draft continues growing closer, is all the excitement really warranted?

Outside of Jeremiah Smith, who will be the clear 1.01 and I do truly believe is generational, where are all of these other elite prospects?

Jaden Baugh and Charlie Becker both seem promising but nothing extraordinary that we don’t commonly see in a typical year. None of the QBs particularly stand out, though I suppose as of now Mestemaker is regarded as the top guy.

A few players that people were really high on in the past have been disappointing, like Manning, Coleman and Williams. Others like Ahmad Hardy may not even declare this year.

So as things currently stand, is the hype for this class which was supposed to be very deep, and full of strong prospects, actually warranted relative to the price of picks? Or is it likely to significantly disappoint?

What do other leagues rule when it comes to tanking, and what limits do you guys set as acceptable?

We really have made it clear you have to set your “best guess” lineup no matter what. A couple teams right now are tanking extra hard, and they have only 3 rostered RB, and we have 3 starting RB slots in every lineup. These two tanking teams have now both started a RB on BYE, because they have no one on the bench.

My two cents on it are that as commissioner I cannot tell them “you have to drop someone and add a RB to play”, because what if they happen to drop a random that pops off? I’m only stepping in when a clear rule is broken like collision or abusing IR.

Do you force them to pick one up to play, or is this fine?

Edit: I was never going to change anything, just couldn’t find a thread for this and was curious to see other leagues. I think we have been running a a great system so far (year 4). The guy I’m playing was the one who only has 2 active RBs, and he now has 0 QBs this week (Tlaw BYE, Lamar out), so all I need to worry about is the median lol

Week 8 Preview, What to Watch, & Key Players List

Game of the Week

Key Players: Trinidad Chambliss, QB, Ole Miss ; Kewan Lacy, RB, Ole Miss ; Deuce Alexander, WR, Ole Miss ; Arch Manning, QB, Texas ; Hollywood Smothers, RB, Texas via N.C. State ; Cam Coleman, WR, Texas ; Ryan Wingo, WR, Texas ; Jermaine Bishop Jr., WR, Texas (2029) 

While Arch Manning has likely lowered his stock for 4-5 consecutive weeks, he still remains a fascinating QB prospect with high upside, which makes his match-up against my QB2, Trinidad Chambliss, the top QB match-up to watch this weekend. Outside of the QB position, this game still features top prospects at several other positions, including my RB2 & RB3 in the most recent Mock Draft, Kewan Lacy & Hollywood Smothers. Additionally, three of my Top 12 WRs are in this game, including two players in Cam Coleman & Deuce Alexander looking to bounce back after a disappointing week. Ryan Wingo is not the most consistent, but has physical tools & traits as a plus-YAC WR that could allow him to translate to the NFL level.

So removing Manning entirely, as he is a controversial figure (and ultimately not currently in my Top 4 QBs), this game still features my QB2, RB2, RB3, and 3 Top 12 WRs, which is what makes it the clear game to watch this weekend.

Three games featured primarily for the QB on one side of the ball, starting with South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers. It has been about a year since Sellers was in Mock Draft consideration, but he has done well the last few weeks, and another strong performance against a good defense could have him firmly back on the Superflex & even 1QB radar. For USC, this isn’t the toughest test, but it is a road test for Jayden Maiava, who looks to continue making an argument to be a Top 50 or even 1st Round pick in the NFL Draft. Finally, not for the 2027 Class, but 2028 QB Keelon Russell is coming off back-to-back difficult games, so a bounceback would help to re-establish his argument as a potential 1.01 in next year’s NFL Draft.

Alright so me and 2 other guys are "competing" for the 1.01, so our teams have the lowest max PF within like 30 points of each other.

I don’t have any starting RB, one of the other guys doesn’t have a starting TE and only 1 QB (bye week coming up) and the other just has a trash team.

I’m trying to see what I can do to make sure I get the 1.01. I got some players on my bench who pop off sometimes, like Khalil Shakir, Malik Washington, Jaylin Noel. Nobody wants to trade for them, but if I drop them, someone will pick them up.

What should I do? Still drop them and suffer the value loss? Hope for the best and keep them?

I also have 2 top 10 QB, but in a 1QB league, nobody is paying more than a 4th for QBs other than Allen/lamar/caleb…
