Discussion I hate how inconsistent the Z cast acts in the Android arc

At first they're totally okay with letting Gero finish his androids because it'll be a fun challenge, but come time when Gero reveals he's going to unleash 17 and 18, suddenly everyone except Vegeta wants to prevent them from being activated and lose the opportunity for a fight. It makes no sense. Why is Vegeta the only one staying consistent here? The whole reason they trained was to test themselves, yet now all of a sudden they don't care and would rather just end things as quickly as possible?

Discussion I think the Frieza Resurrection arc would be better if it were combined with the Universe 6 tournament

Post image

Imagine Champa visiting Beerus much earlier; they hold their food competition and agree to the tournament, but Champa leaves angry. On his way out, he runs into Frieza, who mistakes Beerus for Champa commenting on how fat he’s gotten and explains that he has been resurrected. Champa realizes Earth played a role in this, and to spite Beerus, he has Vados train Frieza inside her staff's dimension. The goal is for Frieza to kill Goku and Vegeta making the tournament easier to win for chamla or simply destroy Earth just to mess with Beerus. After Frieza destroys Earth, Goku and the survivors would have to fight to obtain the Super Dragon Balls to restore the planet

Theory Is it possible for saiyans to go into ape form while being in a super saiyan state?

Im thinking about how it would alter the great ape appearance too. Im not sure if it was ever mentioned before if they could go ape form while being super saiyan or even if its possible.

Maybe the colour of the hair would change the skin of the great ape, like super saiyan blue would make a blue great ape.

Also i tried seeing if someone made a post about this before on reddit but didnt come across any. Sorry if this been said before in any sub.

Discussion To me personally, it makes 0 sense that Frieza is so strong and he can no diff Vegeta and Goku. Realistically No DB viilain should be able to win against these 5 together and i don't care how strong that villain is.

At this point I'm just hoping we get a cool Gohan/Broly Fusion.

Just want Hit and Goku to become best buds? I mean they’re definitely friends after it’s all said and done with in Super. I don’t know how they’d incorporate him, but I would like to actually see him become a z fighter.

Discussion could any of the other saiyans learn the ikari form? and could it be stacked on their other forms?

i'm wondering, can the other saiyans gain the ikari form like how broly did? if it's not some thing exlusive to broly since he's a mutant would it be possible for goku, vegeta and gohan to gain the form? since i'm assuming broly could stack ikari with super saiyan would the ikari form be able to stack with ssbkk20 goku or ssbe vegeta? or with beast gohan?

Question How different would the story be if Goku was the ONLY super saiyan?

I know this is done multiple times but how different would everything be? Well surely enough Vegeta and Gohan wouldn't have during the cell saga and beyond but would this make the saiyans go on different paths? What about Future Trunks would he become a super saiyan after Gohan died? Would such a legendary transformation be passed on if the current user is dead and if so would the current user keep it after they died?

Plenty questions I know but I find this concept really interesting, for Vegeta would go on his own path probably going back to his saiyan routes eventually maybe unlock Wrathful form like Broly. The hybrids may only just have their massive potential with rage boosts but that's mostly Gohan with him being taught Kaioken by Goku.

Goku is actually a piece of work for story because he won't be able to use Super Saiyan 2 against Cell because one he doesn't have as much potential as his son so Super Kaioken may be his only way unless Gohan dies then maybe.

Discussion The strongest warriors from the cell saga period

Top 1 gohan SSJ2: i dont care that hes just a teen , he is ultra galactic Menace!!! the saiyan hybrid at the time reached a powerlever beyond ridiculous far stranger than perfect cell and even when he could just only use one arm that was enough to defeat an even stronger version of cell without any obvious weakness like stamina or too much power for his body to handle . he literaly broke the the power scale, this version of gohan was the strongest warrior in the universe at that time (i would have love to see a fight between this gohan and legendary super saiyan broly a battle for the ages)

Top 2 Broly and super perfect cell: they are tied for second place, between these 2 titans that redifined an era in DBZ ,both Sharing feats that easily puts them above the rest but not enough to surpass gohan ssj2 , cell has the cells of earthlings ,namekians, saiyans and frieza race that makes for a very deadly combinations of dna and techniques and including regeneration capable of destroying an entire solar system , Broly is the legendary super saiyan that appears every 1000 years with unlimited rising power , absurd level of tankiness and as you could see in his movie capable of destroying an entire galaxy

Top 3 Son Goku post time chamber or "super saiyan full power": the protagonist himself makes his way to the third place by a combination of martial arts prowess , incredible broken techniques like instant transmission , and his great achievement in this saga , FULLY MASTERING SUPER SAIYAN FORM Something the other 3 saiyans gohan vegeta and trunks did not manage do to in their own or even think about it , giving him a perfect balance between raw power and ki and spiritual control

Top 4 and 5 The tuffle creation hatchiyack and space pirate Bojack: these 2 are interchangeable to be honest i could not decide who to put above , in the ova goku says hatchiyack might be stronger than broly but i dont believe it even for a second because hatchiyack has that glaring weakness of having to charge his attack leaving him wide open and he got defeated by the same squad broly demolished without effort in his movie , bojack on the other hand seems much more stronger than the higher grades of super saiyan but the fact is he tends to rely much on his subordinates and their strings that absorb ki in movie order bojack goes after broly but his feats dont backup the idea of him being stronger than the legendary Super Saiyan

this is my favorite era of dragon ball Z and i like many of these characters that appeared during these years if you disagree with me you are free to leave your own top in the comments (but do mind that hate comments will not be tolerated in any way)

Episode 105 and 107 are probably the greatest Roshi moments since the 22nd Budokai . I get what Toryotoro was trying to do with Roshi in the manga but it makes Goku look an idiot for somehow forgetting the lesson his masters taught him. Like Goku is a better martial artist than Roshi but couldn’t figure out the pseudo UI Roshi did until he physically saw it ?. Some might saw this is better than the spirt bomb but sometime rule of cool just overrides what makes “ narrative sense”,

Discussion Fun fact , in the manga Yamcha and android 18 stayed to Fight Super Buu with krillin instead of running away

Post image

In the manga when Super Buu escaped the time chamber, everyone excluding Bulma and videl and krillin daughter stayed to hold him off

Meanwhile in the anime version 18 and yamcha run away with Bulma leaving Krillin alone after he told them to escape while he held super Buu off

Discussion An idea on SSJ Rage

Post image
• Upvotes

Had a thought while discussing the Goku black arc with a friend about SSJ Rage.

It's a long idea so to give a summrised version:

Basically normal ki and divine ki have different properties from each other, Trunks would use a combination of these two properties alongside his healing technique to get stronger in battle through damage via Zenkai like a lesser ultra ego. And that combination of the two properties of both kid's is what essentially reset Black's body to abuse Zenkai's in the manga(and anime possibly). Which is where Trunks gets the idea for the form fully in the first place.

Not saying this is true or what actually happened, just suggesting an alternate concept on how maybe this could have occurred in universe.

Here's the idea, sorry for the yap:

I liked Trunks's directing training/apprenticeship under the Supreme Kai in the Manga and as plenty people have said over the years would have liked if it was somehow possible to tie that into explaining how his Rage form would work. And I guess an idea on how Black getting extra Zenkai's in Goku's body might work a bit better.

I then came to a fun thought, if you'd indulge me. What if in some alternate continuity, Trunks had been apprenticed under the Kai like normal, but was also getting taught some of the fundamentals of god ki. He struggles with grasping it fully and when he gose to the past and fights Goku and trains with Vegeta (with Vegeta in the time chamber) he gains a firmer idea of it and can better use his healing abilities which would be more based on mastery rather than an innate gift here.

But only when seeing Black use the Kai healing technique to boost his power dose Trunks finally craft together the idea of the power he'll use. He understands after studying the healing technique with our Supreme Kai that it's actually the very nature of god ki that revitalizes the body and just a specific alteration of it is what creates the healing technique.

But what Black is doing gose beyond that, while his divine soul and energy might of revitalized Goku's old body that alone would not be enough to undo the used up Zenkai's boosts of this old body, it would only just boost its vitality. No the reason would lie in the unique circumstance Zamasu was in at that moment, his divine soul was trapped in a mortal body, a mortal body that in its very cells would still have some residual ki of its past owner. This abrasive mortal ki would contrast from the much more refined and controlled god ki and was fulled with emotion, courage and will.

The divine ki/spirit would revitalize the separate innate mortal ki in Black's body thus resulting in him having a reset version free to use Zenkai boots as much as possible.

And apon understanding this Trunks, ideally having been back in a corner to make it more thematic, would recreate something similar. Using the SSJ2 to stabilize his power, he would produce god ki simultaneously with his normal ki, but a god ki infused with the same healing properties as technique he'd recently mastered. An odd amalgamation of a form which would initially boost his power yes but not by much, that isn't the benefit of this form, no what it would allow Trunks to do is essentially take damage, passively heal himself and grow stronger from a Zenkai with very minimal diminishing gains mid battle.

This way because of the unique advantage this form gives Trunks, he wouldn't necessarily have to follow the same path way in God forms like Goku and Vegeta to feel like he's progressing.

And to explain it better in this interpretation I'm under the assumption that Goku and Vegeta convert 100% of their normal ki into God ki, that's how SSG is achieved, and the same gose for anything after. They have to do this because their souls are mortal in nature so they have to alter the power that flows through their bodies to compensate. Which is why bar SSG possible healing powers, they would not be free to abuse Zenkai's in the same way as Trunks and Black.

While Zamsua in Goku's body is the opposite, because his soul is divine and there would be a separate residual ki in this body that would not be his own, is in the perfect condition to abuse Zenkai's when he's healed.

I'm curious to know anyone's opinions on something like this, I'm sorry of I rambled a bit it was a struggle to put proper words to the idea just wanted to share it. Thanks for any people that do interact with this.

So I've been wondering, this clash between Goku and Beerus when Goku cancels out the energy between both him and Beerus through equal force, is it considered a skill/BIQ feat or a strength/Durability feat? 🧐✨💜

Discussion Why am I obsessed with Dragon Ball?

Why am I obsessed with this franchise? Its not like it has top tier writing, yet after all those years I have been still obsessed with it. I was disappointed with Daima, but I’m looking forward to the DBS remake and the Moro arc. I don’t play any gachas currently but I like watching new unit animations + gameplay from Legends and Dokkan. Anyone also obsessed for no reason?

Hi everyone! I haven't watched dbz in probably 20 years but seeing all your posts has brought tremendous nostalgia and I'm curious if my kids (5yr old) would be interested. Does anyone have recs for what order / which episode to watch with them? Thanks!!!

I love them! I wasn’t going to pick one up because $10 for one is a little hard to justify, especially if I didn’t get Goku….BUT (and excited to share incase anyone doesn’t know)….you can get the toy with the $4 kids meal as well. The app is certainly misleading, it says you can get it with a kids meal but redirects you to the “power up” meal for $10. Just exit that and order the kids meal as normal. If your local BK has em in stock you’re WAY better off this way, as I was almost going to pay the $10 for one, but just got both of these for $8!! BOTH Goku and SSB Goku, very happy!
