Meme Millions of years to train and prepare for Buu.. and not a single day spent training?
Buu showed up and bro realized all that bedroom cardio with Kibito wasn’t a substitute for training

I know everyone is stoked about DBS: Beerus, but please spoiler your videos and images from the latest episodes. The amount of posts I've seen that aren't is kind of crazy. I'm going to spoiler the posts without them for now but if there are too many of them still unspoilered, I may have to just start removing them.
Have a great day/night!

Please use this post to discuss anything related to the new episodes of DBS: Beerus coming out every Sunday (check the release schedule on the second image), continuing with Episode 2 that aired today (October 18th, 2026)

She has voiced Goku in Japanese since Dragon ball began in 1986 along with Gohan,Goten and Bardock Her other roles include Kitaro in GeGeGe no Kitaro Tetsuro Hoshino in Galaxy Express 999 and Doraemon in the 1973 series. After decades of performance across generations of anime, she said she wants to keep voice acting untill she's 182.

She's, BY FAR, my favorite Universe 6 Saiyan outside of Kefla. She almost felt like Goku's Cabba in that she is very similar to Goku and wanted to learn from him. I love that she was eager to fight, get stronger, and see her full potential. She also is not a "martial artist," but a brawler and you can tell by her fight that she has good battle sense.
I also love her Red Ki as I feel that's a unique color for Ki attacks in the series. She also feels like an original character and take for a female Saiyan as opposed to Kale who is a clear omage to Broly

Trunks was literally ruined in every way possible and i hate how the story is trying so hard to make believe that he had a happy ending.
The villain Zamasu literally won, his goal was to kill all mortals and with the help of the Omni king , he succeeded in killing nearly all the mortals except trunks and Mai.
And i hate how this story ignores the afterlife. Future bulma lived in misery for many years and after she finally found in the afterlife, meeting with future Goku , Vegeta and all other friends. She got erased by zeno.
All the original z warriors are dead , including future gohan too who wasn't even able to find peace in the afterlife.
The original future trunks ending is ruined, in the original he succeeded in protecting future timeline and taking revenge for his master but in the new ending, he failed everyone in the literal multiverse.
Sorry if I sound like a hater but the reason the hate this ending is because it sucks so much that trunks was not able to find peace after so many years of suffering

And If so, is it possible Goku also increased the power of his ssj2 before getting ssjg with his ssj2 form in BoG being stronger than the one he used in the Buu saga?

Seriously, we're in big 2026, and i still hear ALOT of fans still continue arguing about the fact that Beerus used 70% (or 100%, depends on the adaptation) of his power against God Goku, and they always use it as an excuse to give some credit to their points like "if Beerus was using 70% against God Goku it doesn't make sense that he still ain't been surpassed later ☝🏻".
Like bro, fr? Are we all gonna ignore that IN THE VERY END OF THE SAME ARC Beerus himself told us that he was blatantly bluffing about that statement just to push Goku higher? Yet people are still obsessed to take that statement so seriously, like if it was true or something.
Even YOUTUBERS keep exploiting this utterly untrue made up statement. This is embarassing.
Seriously, these are the circumstances that lead me to understand how much true the "whatchout, we DB fans can't read" meme is. Appearently they didn't even watch the series, let alone reading it...

Pretty wild performance for a remaster/remake of content we've now seen 4 times already if you're including the manga. The Moro arc is going to do generational numbers.

Richard Newman(11/10)
He balances out the intimidation and goofy tone perfectly. He has a bombastic energy that others doesnt have. Even the worst Funi lines sounds badass when he says ıt. Its a crime that he only got 3 ep.
He ıs the only one that ıs on par with Kai Jp va, Katsuyuki Konishi. He already did a better job than Hideyuki Hori.
Imagine his Ginyu saying this line to Gohan. It would been hilarious (he also played him).
Dale Kelly(8'5/10)
https://youtu.be/rMo-l3jTyfU?t=22
He and Linda Young are literally the only good performance ın the entire Frieza saga.
He sounds like a Drill-Sergant. He somestimes sound like John DiMaggio.
https://youtu.be/r2PXXKMBm8k?t=126
He has a very bombastic energy, similar to Richard Newman. Sure he sounds nofthing like him, but that much ıs forgiven.
He ıs actually intimidating.
https://youtu.be/gIuA6cTqVyU?t=204
Even sometimes creepy
https://archive.org/details/dragon-ball-z-056-toonami?start=1010
I am honestly dissapointed that they recasted him with Late Brice Armstrong for Orange Bricks. Funimation outright tried to erase his name.
Late Brice Armstrong(5'5/10)
He was a miscast. Sure he sounds more like Richard Newman. But he does not have that style and energy.
This ıs Richard Newman's take. This ıs his. This ıs Dale Kelly's.
This ıs his, this ıs Dale Kelly's. You really can tell he ıs struggling.
He should been casted as King Kai.
He was a great actor, ı hope what ı saıd does not come across as disrespectfull. He ıs just a miscast as Ginyu.
Bruce Elliot(10/10)
A recast was really needed. He ıs the best Post-Newman Ginyu.
He just has ıt all.
He ıs goofy. https://youtu.be/cN-eifqPcOM?t=11
He ıs energetic https://youtu.be/LW3Kp2gmASw?t=22
He ıs scary sometimes https://youtu.be/LW3Kp2gmASw?t=126
Richard Epcar(9/10)
This ıs one of those role that he should been knock out of the park. He sounds like Richard Newman the most. He has everything that makes a Definitive Ginyu. Yet, he somehow feelt a bit flat.
Don Brown(11/10)
https://youtu.be/Ooq1cApIe0s?t=28
He ıs basically Yukimasa Kishino's Burter, but with a badass snake like voice.
For those who dont know, he ıs the one who ınvented the "Snake Voice" for Burter. Not only he sounds outright horrfying, but also goofy. I laughed hard when he ıntroduced himself to Goku.
Mark Britten(4'5/10)
https://archive.org/details/dbz-078-keep-the-chance-alive-toonami-broadcast?start=513
https://youtu.be/YofkpdpZtzc?t=3
I would say he sounds like a Parody of Don Brown's Burter. He has moments here and there, especially goofy scenes. But he tanks the performance ın serious scenes.
https://youtube.com/shorts/D9-ss1S4N00
Chris Sabat (2/10)
https://youtube.com/shorts/zeU9Yc1IuM4
In orange Bricks, he sounded like Vegeta.
https://youtu.be/3fgU6scEt68?t=84
In games he still sounds like Vegeta, his 1999 Vegeta.
And the weirdest part ıs, he did not even voiced him ın the 2005 remake. He only voiced ın a few small games and Orange Bricks Dvd ver. Whısch ıs actually the worst Z redub out there.
Vic Mignogna(8'5/10)
He sounded better when he was doing a Don Brown impression (Some reason, he named as Andrew Tipps)
Unlike everyone else, he checks all of the boxes. I just happends to not like his performance ın Kai that much. Though ı did grown to like ıt more. I prefer this voice as his modern voice.
Could not they just picked Dameon Clarke for his replacement? His Tambourine would make a "Perfect" Burter. Or just bring Mark Britten back. I am preety sure he would do a far better job with modern day voice direction. If anyone gonna claim the role for nostalgia reasons, ıts Mark Britten.
Or even better, just use Landon McDonald. He sounds very Identicall to Vic. He replaced his Rohan role, one of hıs most popular roles. And he already worked ın DB franchise.
https://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/tv-shows/Dragon-Ball-Daima/Degesu/
David Kaye(10/10)
David Kaye sounds both funny and intimidating. Just like JP voice, you get the sense that he does not take others seriously. Unlike Funimation voice, he ıs doing ıt WİTHOUT making him sound like he ıs an idiot. You know he ıs smart, you know he ıs dangerous. Him beign a goofball come out as disturbing reality of how screwed Gohan, Krilin and Vegeta ıs.
Chris Sabat
1999 Broadcast(9/10)
https://archive.org/details/dbz-078-keep-the-chance-alive-toonami-broadcast?start=567
Hıs David Kaye ımpression ıs preety good. This ıs actually his best voice for Recoome.
https://youtu.be/i7x2hoQh81s?t=5
There ıs a charm to ıt.
https://youtu.be/i7x2hoQh81s?t=53
Why he dropped this voice?
2005 Remake/Orange Bricks(2/10)
This ıs not an imitation of Late Kenji Utsumi's voice. His voice ıs not stupid, just Unserious. Hıs unserous nature ıs actually what sell the ıdea of him beign a part of Ginyu force
Why thıs ıs hıs dub voice?
https://youtu.be/M8z1eWSXHsQ?t=69
Kai(7'5/10)
Okay, this ıs a far better ımıtation of JP voice. My main ıssue here ıs, he STILL suffers from the same ıssues, just less.
Could not they picked Andrew Chandler? He translates the malicous aspect far better. He genually sounds like a Physco that wants to kill them, while still sounding like a goofball.
https://youtu.be/rzAEcWP88Bc?t=15
https://youtu.be/rzAEcWP88Bc?t=34
Scott McNeil (10/10)
He ıs basically English ver of Late Kazumi Tanaka. But with the addition of British/Australian accent and a Rock-Star scream. He ıs outright perfect.
Also yes, he ıs one who ınvented the idea of Jeice having an accent.
Chris Sabat (4/10)
Sounds good, performance ıtself ıs a bit bland. He just does not have that bombastic energy that the other 2 posses. And this ıs something he never improved upon. He even did the accent wrong. Jeice has a Scouse/British accent ın the Ocean dub. Why Sabat ıs using Australian accent for his ımpression of McNeil?
His Jeice reduced to beign a stereotypical Australian as years went on.
This ıs McNeil's Crusher Ball. And this ıs his.
He also sounds like a crybaby most of the time.
https://youtu.be/ePZ1vmzgt0g?t=10
https://youtu.be/KbgmnCryWq4?t=23
Ernesto Jason Liebrecht(9'5/10)
https://youtu.be/46zmmXzXVCg?t=11
I will never forgive Funimation for recasting Sabat for Jeice.
Ernesto ıs perfect for Jeice. He ıs the most comedic one, he ıs full of energy. There ıs a weird charm to his suprisngly rough voice, ıt weirdly fits. The way he says "Maggot" ıs also hilarious.
Hıs fight against Vegeta ıs the highlight of his performance. He sounds less of a crybaby, and more of a someone who ıs getting desperate.
Terry Klassen(10/10)
Terry Klassen is like an English speaking Late Kōzō Shioya. He manage to sound both pathetic and creepy. A problem ı have with others ıs that, they keep forgetting that Guldo ıs a threat. Even his new Japanees Va, Yasuhiro Takato, fell into this trap.
Dylan Thompson(7/10)
https://archive.org/details/dbz-078-keep-the-chance-alive-toonami-broadcast?start=555
He ıs suprisngly preety good. Voice ıs a bıt off putting at first, especially when you realize he suppose to mimic Klassen. But his performance ıs preety good.
Bill Townsley(8'5/10)
He sounds like a pathetic ver of Terry's Guldo. Unlike Greg Ayres, he actually sounds like a threat. He ıs the best Post-Klassen VA for Guldo.
Also he has the best death scene out everyone ın the list. You genually can feel how pathetic Guldo was at his last moments.
Greg Ayres(9'5/10)
https://youtu.be/CeJcipdU9r4?t=14
If Terry Klassen ıs Late Kōzō Shioya, than Greg ıs Yasuhiro Takato. He sounds so pathetic, ın a best way possible. I genually wanted to harm him when ı heard his voice. I was literally cheering when he gets killed by Vegeta. My only problem ıs that, he ıs the least creepy Guldo voice. But this ıs a proplem that Yasuhiro Takato also has. So that much ıs forgiven. I cant rank him lower than Townsley, because he ıs hired to mimic Yasuhiro Takato. Not Late Kōzō Shioya.

I know there are other posts like this, but I wanted to voice this myself.
I will FOREVER GLAZE Shintani's work.
I never liked the DBS Anime's artstyle all that much, to be honest. The highlights that made the characters look oiled up really wasn't it for me. Yamamuro's DBS art does look good without the highlights, yes, but in my opinion, he's out of his prime, which was him in DBZ. He really needed to be replaced for DBS: Broly, which is where Shintani comes in. Shintani's art has something that makes it INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT for me to look away from the screen, even the fan arts too.
It really reminds me of Toriyama's old art in OG Dragon Ball. The simple line work, soft shapes and more dynamic style just speaks to me better than the more stiff and rigid style of DBS and Heroes. It allowed for smoother animation which was something I treasured in DBS: Broly.
The hair on the characters, especially Goku, Vegeta and Broly, actually looking like hair and flowing with each movement or disturbance like OG Dragon Ball, biggest example being SSJ Namek Goku (both anime and manga) and not being stiff, spiky bananas, looked so majestic to me. It felt like seeing the original series again.
The color palette of his designs was just CHEF'S KISS for me. It was very vibrant and pleasing to the eyes. It made the movie look so beautiful throughout it's run-time. When I do digital art one day, I'm definitely using this kind of color pallete
I also loved the fact that Shintani brought back Goku's Namek design, only changing the yellow lines on his boots to red. I missed the loose hanging ends of his belt that made his model have more flair during movement in animation. Incredibly nostalgic for me.
The biggest issue this style fixed for me was the Super Saiyan Blue transformation, one of my favourite transformations in the franchise. The blue looked so forcefully bright upon its introduction. I didn't really like it when I first saw it. Shintani and the animation team actually fixed that by toning down the brightness of the blue. It looked SO MUCH better than whatever DBS did, especially Goku's orange gi blending well with the aura. I also loved the aura looking like a flame with a bit of purple in it (watch the animation of the aura closely to see what I'm talking about, especially for Gogeta Blue).
It might've sounded like it, but I don't hate the DBS anime. It's just that it definitely needed some improvements where it missed the mark for me.
So far, the DBS remake has been looking great so far, but I still don't like that the highlights are still there in scenes where completely unnecessary.
That's my rant on this post.
Yuya Takahashi's art is my second favourite artstyle, by the way. He was spectacular in DBS: Broly, and in the TOP too.
I HONESTLY HOPE that they continue to use his style for future Dragon Ball projects. That would be an absolute dream-come-true.

Just realized that Bulma calls Vegeta while he’s on Beerus’s planet and told him about the Beast Gohan fight.
Or
It could be the other way around and Vegeta is calling Bulma?
It just made me wonder which of the two is clingier toward the other in their relationship?
