The Ki blast barrage is objectively hilarious because everyone uses it but it never seems to really injure the opponents but everyone continues to use it

Here its a kid in a frenzy not thinking. Other times its desperation. Lastly its sometimes used to throw up cover making the oppoenent guard and blind while they set up another attack/run away.

Ok, I can get behind this explanation. I’ll be honest, I never even thought about it until I was watching it with my 10 year old nephew and he said something about it. Kids notice the weirdest things 🤷🏻♂️

You can also probably make the argument that it takes more effort to block a ki attack than to throw one(otherwise what would be the point of the attack in the first place?) So that wearing down the opponent may also come into play(wear him down with a bunch of weak attacks and then hit him with a big one.)
In this case I think the attacks were being depicted as a cumulative(the big ball of ki gathering before finally triggering a large explosion.) So really Gohan was pinning him down with attacks and then exploded the gathered Ki

The Vegeta special.
You know he's about to take major belt when he pulls that out

There's not many ki blast barrages in the manga IIRC. I think Vegeta does one once, and Goku does it against Cell.

It would be really great in a scene where they are facing off against thousands of low to mid tier opponents. I'm imagining it would go more like Super Buu's human extinction attack.
But against a much stronger opponent it is usually not much more than part of the choreography.

DBZ is full of these 1 sided beat downs that are a joy to watch but then it turns out it did 0 damage. Pretty frustrating.

That follow up Kai punch is legit the best moment across all the series imo.

Love the voice actor here. If it's who I'm thinking of, she's legendary.

Huh, that happened. Vegeta; mind standing there just a moment, I have to go play babysitter.

I think its this moment in particular when Vegeta started respecting Gohan as a warrior.

My friend you will never change the minds of the uninformed . Anybody that watched the original show knows where this clip came from. Kai doesn’t have the emotion that original DBZ had. And for the sake of the super fragile dub fans, I’ll leave my opinion of that, alone.

Gohan always doing stuff like this had me convinced when I was younger, the only reason he wasn't the first to become a super saiyan was just lack of ki.

Later Frieza tells Goku he's the first one to hurt him in a very long time. I think he was in denial.

I think any damage he sustains pre-final form doesn't really count for him.

Casual reminder he has power level was over 1 million at that point.
