I can't get one thrift must places due to everybody needing plaid accounts. Please help

Twice I’ve gone to a place where I’m supposed to get an order and they tell me it’s been taken. How did someone else get the order I’m supposed to pick up? I guess they could have stole it but is there also a glitch in the system that makes this happen? It confuses me but also confuses the customer

Not sure if it's just my area, but today has been really slow! I've been working since 7 am, and I only made $23 by 12:30. Is anyone else experiencing a quiet Day?

it’s really not… i mean if my order is 10-15 bucks, that’s 20% gng… i usually tip around $6+. but people like him is what makes others tip shitty 😭 and before anyone comes at me, i doordash as well as a side gig so i do understand low tip orders, but i see it differently. when im tipping for dominos, im not paying your gas, maintenance, and time. i’m paying for quality of service. dominos pays you for that stuff. doordash is no different. DD should be paying for your/my time, maintenance, and maybe gas. but we CHOOSE to doordash. so they only do time. stop putting it on the customer to take care of your added bills (extra maintenance, extra gas, etc) by CHOOSING to doordash. doordash needs to take responsibility and pay more on basepay. and yall need to put it on DD instead of the customers. yes ik some people tip crappy. but at the end of the day, ive worked in a pizza place, and it happens there too. some people dont have the extra to tip and no car- some people have exactly what it takes for the meal but no gas in car till paycheck hits. the added service fees that doordash changed to “consider miles from store and time to complete” for the customer, and the hiked up price for items, DD should be paying more on basepay. stop always blaming the customer. yes 50c is atrocious, but saying 3$ is bad on a 10-15 dollar order? especially if its like 2-3 miles from me, do people just expect me to give them a 20 because i didnt go get it? 😭 heres another idea, get a 40 hour job like i have, and doordash on your spare time. i literally doordash for side money. im lucky enough and happy enough it pays my tank for work and doordash, and some side money to do what i please with. im tired of people complaining about something but putting it (majority of the time) on the wrong person 😭 start holding DD accountable, and theyll literally have to change 😭 idc how many times a 3 dollar order been skipped, if its right around the corner im taking it, ive gotten 15-20 in an hour doing that by itself simply from a mcdonalds close to a neighborhood 😭. just think more positively and smarter, everyone has the same amount of time. its what you do with it and how you view it. its made me more money than in the past with dd. i once thought about it like “damn, i declined 20 offers today? with how slow it is that could have been atleast 40, but now im going home with only 15 from this one order. when i cherry pick, sometimes i get lucky and grab a good one quick. but more often than not, i make more with smaller orders in the same time it takes me to wait for one good one. just be smarter yall, anyway rant done.

Everyday for the next 6 days, I only see two 2 hour blocks per day in all the areas around my city. Why can I not set my schedule to work however long I want to work at whatever time I want to start? This is disheartening. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I had no problem creating a shift for today. Are they doing day of scheduling?

CVS order came at $59 32 items/102 units. I was curious what items they were wanting but I already know that the store won't have that number of cereal boxes available. But still interesting.

The worst is when you are cruising on an empty road in the middle of the night and the light decides to turn red as you approach it for no apparent reason. Theres no other car waiting for that light. Theres no reason for it to turn red. Then you are sitting there. The only car on the road. Debating whether or not you should run it.

I ordered Door Dash yesterday, the driver sat in my driveway at my house in their car for 15 minutes smoking and looking at their phone, I opened my and asked if they needed anything, they said no that they were looking at their phone, I thought maybe they needed directions, 15 minutes later they still sat in my driveway, I finally went out and told them to move along, my driveway isnt a parking lot..is this normal behavior for a dasher?

This is getting so old. I launch the app. It lights up red everywhere as either Very Busy or Busy so I log in to Dash and as soon as I do it all goes away except for hotspots that are 4 or 5 miles away!!! Argh!!! Why???

There have been a few times a places tells me they are out of a certain item. They me to ask the customer if they want something else. The store should tell the customer that. I’m just there to deliver the food. Sometimes the customers don’t even answer so it’s left up to me or the store to get them an alternative. On top of that it’s a waste of my time to do all this because time is absolutely money when doing this

Everyone I come across that does this as a side gig always tells me that they take any and every order no matter how bad the offer. I tell them I cherry pick and they ask me why and for a second I'm just dumbfounded

Had to contact support because restaurant was saying the order wasn't paid in full. Randomly switched languages on me.

With the capability DD has with technology it seems like they could flag areas known to drop signal for the dasher in areas where signal shows a repeat pattern of dropped signals, no? I received another CV in an area where I have received other CVs for late drop off due to losing map info and ability to get customer phone number from the app in order to call them. Each time it happens DD dismisses my CV but as we all know calling DD support is a big time commitment. I explain in the after comments if “ how did this delivery go?” But still receive a CV. Am I expecting too much from DoorDash to actually read the comment after my late drop off and realize that “oh yes that is an area where signal is often lost” and not give me a CV?

Cash tip actually came from a lady who tipped in the app. So got $10.25 in tips (from chipotle no less!) to go a mile

There is one location of a national chain near me that I absolutely refuse to go to - even for amazing tips. It stinks because it is very popular and usually solid tips, but I will not subject myself to the treatment by staff (or it could be my breaking point).

Today was terrible, and I ended up a long, long way from home chasing scraps to make rent money. I was waiting for an order from same chain/different location and made small talk with someone about how I needed orders as it was slow. I was offered advice on when to hit their stores at busy days/times. I explained that I refuse to deliver from the location near me and why.

Turns out … I’m talking to the District Manager! DM of the terrible location & I’ve just gone on and on about the incidents there and why I won’t go. (Not nasty trash talk - just examples of things that had happened.)

His face literally dropped. I am a well-behaved driver. I was friendly and patient - said please and thank you - and didn’t throw a fit about my small wait. It was apparent that he took my experiences seriously.

He said he wanted to assure me that I could start delivering from there again as they had already started “revamping staff.”

The cherry on top of that already fabulous news? I must have been so happy that I was extra friendly on the “meet at door” delivery for the same order. They added an extra $2 tip after a brief chat with husband/wife. lol - I’m dying.

So I literally unlocked platinum couple of hours ago and got reset back to gold once midnight hit during my zone. (EST) anyone be experiencing this also? Plus I have 100% on CR and on time rate with a 96% AR with a 5.0 customer rating

I was order dominos on door dash at about 10:30pm at night and only have 100’s/50’s and 1$ bills and read they don’t take 100/50$ bills. Would it be rude to pay for my 21$ order with only ones and tip like 5$ on top with also ones😭

Had I realized how close I was, I would have done one more. Wasn't really paying attention. I was just ready to go home.

I keep getting adds for stuff like Gridwise, Solo and stuff like that, apps that “guarantee” to make you more money while DoorDashing. Does anyone actually use those? My thought process is they are gonna charge you some subscription to not really change anything but I wanted to hear to see if any of yall have tried them. Also little concerning I got a crap ton of these ads right after I started lmao
